Due in June after miscarriage?

After several miscarriages I just got several BFP's plus dizziness and sickness :) ... But I am terrified!! Not sure I have the confidence yet in this pregnancy to join an antenatal thread.

Anyone else? Want to wait it out together?

Hi ladies, hope you're all keeping well Smile

Still got MS but now used to it, I'm drinking ginger beer like it's water. Tired as well but should feel better soon, I've got a week off work now (going to a wedding in Finland, yay)...so tomorrow will be our first flight with a toddler, which I'm actually excited about.

My dating scan is 17th Dec, I said to my boss I'll probably be outed before then, as I'm already starting to show! At least there won't be many days to work before then, I'll just have to wear baggy clothes. I've started to dig out my old maternity trousers which seems surreal.

It was nice seeing my old MW last week, noticed they put Gravida 3 on the notes which made me feel a bit sad. I mentioned I was considering a home birth for this one which is also now on the notes! DH is still Hmm about it, I'm still on the fence, lots of research to do...

Has anyone else nicknamed their bump? Ours is "Joey".

Hi BumbleBee

Glad to hear you are doing well and coping with the morning sickness. Mine seems to be getting worse. I have had to take the day off work today as I can't even keep water down.

My dating scan is the day after yours! I am so excited I can't wait!! Enjoy your trip and wedding.

Thank you. It comes and goes so I suppose I can't complain too much!
I must be feeling brave now I've passed 12 weeks I've ventured over to the antenatal thread.
I'm eager to start shopping as never allowed myself to get excited before so having to refrain myself!

Hi ladies, I had a MMC in June this year, we found out at my 12 week scan.

I have my scan tomorrow ( will be 13 weeks) and am terrified. Im making myself ill with worry.

How do you/did you deal with the fear?

Report
LittlemissChristmas · 10/12/2012 14:05

I didn't! I was sick all night.
Sorry I know that's not what you want to hear. I couldn't eat anything all morning but thankfully my scan was 9am so not much waiting around.

nickinoo it's so hard isn't it. I also had a MMC in July discovered at a scan at 10 weeks and the waiting this time around for a scan was really hard. I tried to distract myself and also to remind myself that statistically there is a much better chance that everything will be OK than that history will repeat itself. Also that no amount of worrying will change the outcome.

It doesn't really help but maybe puts a bit of perspective on things. My 12 week scan was all OK, 15 weeks tomorrow and bump seems to be growing (but I still worry quite a lot - especially now we've just written all the xmas cards with our news in it).

Finger's crossed for you - let us know how it goes!

Hi ladies. I hope that you are all well.

LittleMiss, I have been having sickness all day but today is the first morning that I haven't thrown up. I am starting to freak out about my 12 week scan on Tuesday. Apart from that I'm good thanks. How are you?

Good luck for tues Ruthie
I've still got ms and also full of cold so don't think that's helping.
Is anyone else still struggling to realise its going to be ok? I've had 12 week scan, no cramping, no bleeding, but I can't shake off this feeling that I'm going to go for 20 week scan and see a mmc. DH thinks I'm mad. It's like I can't tell anyone that I'm pg because I'm convinced its going to end badly. Am I normal? Will it ever go?

I'm due June 1st after having a mc, yesterday should have actually been my due date :(
I think being pregnant again has helped but I still feel a bit sad about the baby that never was. My dh hasn't remembered it should have been the due date - it if he has, hasn't mentioned it.

My DH could never remember when the due dates were. Think its his way of dealing with it. Congratulations on this pg though!

Hi ladies

12 week scan tomorrow, am quietly starting to freak out, think I've been saving all my feelings of doubt for one 24 hour extravaganza...Confused

I just can't bear the thought of going into that room again and getting bad news (again).

Even though I am still being sick, have had no bleeding, and am actually getting a little bump...I guess rationality doesn't really come into it when your feelings are so strong.

Ruthie good luck for Tuesday

Bumble Bee, How did it go today? I am totally FREAKED out!! I am still having ms although it skipped this weekend. I have only tiny cramps that I assume is just everything moving around but I am convinced it might be bad news tomorrow. This is my third pregnancy and I don't know how I'll cope if I lose this baby too. Any advice peeps?!

BumbleBee2011 · 17/12/2012 18:42

All good here, nice healthy baby, just the one as well as my DH was quick to point out Smile The sonography even said they have a "cute nose".

I am so relieved I feel like I could sleep for the next 48 hours.

Ruthie - I haven't got any advice, mine was at 4pm so spent all day at work trying not to think about it. Towards the afternoon I was just chatting to people as I couldn't focus on any actual work! All I can say is (((hugs))), I'll be thinking of you, let us know how you get on. Maybe watch a funny movie if you can't sleep.

That's brilliant news BumbleeBee! You must be thrilled!
I think that I will take your advice and watch a movie until I fall asleep. My scan is tomorrow morning so at least it doesn't prolong the wait.

Hi LittleMiss. Glad to hear you are progressing well although the sickness is a pain. I am 16 weeks and I also still have sickness. Have an appointment with my midwife on Wednesday, hoping to hear the heartbeat. Starting to get nervous again! Not sure that will ever stop.

Littlemissexpecting · 20/01/2013 10:41

No I don't think the worry stops!
Good luck for your mw appt. it's amazing hearing the hb I wasn't expecting to with an anterior placenta but we did Smile
Apart from that I thought the 16 wk appt was a bit of waste of time, checked urine and bp then I was out. But maybe that's just my mw?

Curiousgeorgie has asked me to link her in as she has lost the thread. Does anyone know how to do that?
Thanks for the message LittleMiss. I'll let you know how I get on. X
