Due in June after miscarriage?

After several miscarriages I just got several BFP's plus dizziness and sickness :) ... But I am terrified!! Not sure I have the confidence yet in this pregnancy to join an antenatal thread.

Anyone else? Want to wait it out together?

Sorry for all your losses. I had a mc in April and am now about 8 weeks and due in June. Feeling very sick which I guess is good?!
I am very paranoid I'll mc again and can't actually imagine having a baby at the end.

Sorry for everyone's losses - I'm just like Supersesame, mc at 5/6 weeks and got a BFP on the next cycle, now 5 weeks again. Have one DD, everything was so textbook with her that we were totally unprepared for bad news last time. (Doctor wouldn't book me in for an early scan until 8 weeks so mc wasn't picked up until then. I'd been bleeding but was still feeling nausea, was convinced I was still pg Sad).

Anyway this time I don't know if I can face going for an early scan (the lady who told me I'd mc'd said I could come next time at 8 wks if I wanted reassurance), just sitting in that waiting room again would be so stressful. I bought a 2 pack pg test so have decided to test again at 8 weeks instead. I think I'll also wait til then to book in with the midwives.

This time my symptoms are stronger so I feel pretty positive about it. (I think partly it's also denial)

Have got a pg app for my phone this time and due date is the day before DD's birthday! My niece's is 2 days later, my sister's 4 days later, and mine is 2 weeks later - so I guess that time of year is quite lucky for my family!

Thanks for all the lovely messages ladies. It really is comforting to speak with people going through the same thing.
They didn't scan me on Sunday but they took more blood and for the first time ever we got good news from the EPU! My hcg levels had gone from 250 to 800. Apparently this is too high for an ectopic and so they think it was just too early for a scan. I am back in for another scan a week today.
I'm not generally a religious person but I have been praying and I remember you all in my prayers. Good luck to us all!!

That's great news Ruthie.
I have my 6 wk scan today, very nervous. Not slept very well and some very odd dreams.

That's brilliant Ruthie!!

I'm going to EPU for a scan on Friday so that's judgement day for me.

No bleeding yet but a lot of cramps and don't feel as sick or dizzy anymore...

Good luck to those with scans today or soon.

Its comforting to read about how you are all terrified, therefore I am normal!

I still haven't gone to GP or arranged anything.
Only DH and I know about this pregnancy so far (IRL, that is!). I'm afraid to go to GP as I went 2 days before my MC last time. Silly I know.
Maybe next week.

I'm starving each morning after my breakfast. I've just had 2 slices of toast and a bag of crisps and thinking about what else is in the cupboard. Thats definitley not me as I normally wouldn't eat until noon.

Hi I'd like to join. Had a MMC in July (10 weeks) after around 5 months ttc. Much to our surprise we fell pregnant again the first cycle after my period. I'm taking that as a sign that this pregnancy is meant to be and trying to be positive! It's so hard though. Yesterday was 8 weeks which felt like a milestone. Saw my GP 2 weeks ago but no appointments yet for midwife/scan - I haven't asked for an early scan as I don't think that that would help. So just trying to pass the time until we get to have some proper news! Sore/bigger boobs and tiredness so taking that as a good sign....

Fingers crossed for us all.

How did it go Littlemissimpatient?

Supersesame, I know how you feel. It isn't silly at all. You do whatever you need to in order to cope with the stress of the situation. Your doctor will still be there when you want to see them.

Hi girls.
CuriousGeorge, I hope all goes well today. I have everything crossed for you! Good luck.
How is everyone else doing? I am starting to get neurotic again. I had three nights of not sleeping properly and a friend suggested it was due to anxiety. I POAS yesterday just to check. It still said positive and I slept better last night but I'm not sure how long it will last. Any tips for relaxing/ keeping calm?

Report
Littlemissimpatient · 02/11/2012 09:33

No but I would love to hear them!
I am also very anxious atm. DH says to relax, easier said than done.
I just keep expecting to go for scan next wk and see a mmc.

Well... Neutral news for now I think. They could see a yolk sac but no heartbeat or fetal pole.. But think because of irregular cycles I may have got my dates wrong so scanning me again in ten days.... Confused

Hi Curious.
It is promising that they saw something.I know the wait is so frustrating but I'll keep everything crossed for you that you see good progress at the next one. Why is it so hard for some and do easy for others?

Report
curiousgeorgie · 02/11/2012 18:29

I know... It's so frustrating.

I'm trying to stick to the thoughts that my clearblue test has increased to 3+ and that I haven't had any bleeding yet, with all my miscarriages I had started spotting no more that a week after a positive test.

I'm having the same thought too I had had bleeding and cramps every time previous so none must surely be a good sign fingers crossed

Hi girls
LittleMissImpatient that's great news Grin
CuriousGeorgie - fx all is well, the waiting must be really hard.

I've been feeling sick (and have now started being sick too - sorry TMI), just like with DD...so I'm thinking it's a good sign, but it is making me a bit miserable. That and I'm totally exhausted...poor DH is supposed to be having a super fun 30th birthday weekend, feel like I'm being a huge party pooper, just want to lie in bed and groan!

Anyone else got morning sickness out there?

Report
Littlemissimpatient · 03/11/2012 16:16

No morning 'sickness' but very bad nausea here. I can't stomach anything to eat and it has completely sapped my energy

Report
Ruthie101 · 04/11/2012 20:51

I have had waves of nausea but no sickness. I have started spotting again today though! Trying to stay positive still but it is getting harder and harder.

Fingers crossed for you. If its just spotting try not to worry easier said than done. I'm very anxious atm, DH thinks I'm being stupid but I just have a feeling that something isn't right. Scan in 3 days so we will see, but I'm kind of expecting a mmc.

Report
Ruthie101 · 05/11/2012 20:14

I feel the same. DH is so positive but I just fear the worst. I think it is a kind of self preservation! I will keep my fingers crossed for you too.
