Heh, so, following on from my how late did you work thread, was your first baby late? If so, how many days over?

And if yes or no, was your Mum late with her first baby? I am wondering if this kind of thing runs in families

Yes, I went 11 days over.

My mother was induced with me 7 days over and had a tough time of it.

Yep, went into labour at 40+8.

DM went into labour with me about ten days over.

Nope, a week early. As was my mum's first baby (me), come to think of it...

Yep, 15 days over, then induced (good experience btw)

No idea about my mum, but she has nothing but good things to say about her (two) deliveries.

Are you worried per chance?

FWIW I had 3 overdue pregnancies and one early delivery at 31 weeks for placenta praevia, so bleeding notwithstanding I think I just cook them long.

Had my first and only DC at 40+10. My mum had the three of us all between 2 and 3 weeks late.

No, my 1st baby was 16 days early, waters broke and she was born after a relatively easy 7 hour labour!
My mum went 10 days overdue with me and had a very long and difficult labour.

DD1 was 40 + 10 I went into labour naturally shortly after arriving at hospital for induction!

DD2 born helpfully on her due date.

DM went into labour with me 2 days before due date she claims. I was born on my due date.

No, my first was 19 days early - DMum's first baby (my DSis) was born at 28 weeks.

16 days over due :( Not fun. She was 10Ib 1oz and I keep wondering how much of that was put on in those 16 days Mum and I both had EMRCS.

I was 10 days over with DD.

My mum was 10 days over with me. Never connected the two before.

My brother was 8 days early. So fingers crossed the link continues, I am so ready to have this baby :)

7 weeks early, weighing 7bs 4 oz. DM was 3 weeks late.

Yes. Eight days. My mum was 2 weeks late with her first and was induced, as was his first baby.

Oh yes. 2 weeks 5 days past due date!

8 days over, 3 hour labour 10lb 4 baby I felt rather smug to be honest watch this one be late, huge and take forever!

Don't think mum went over with any of hers but we were all big babies! 9lb 6, 11lb 2 and a rather eye watering 12lb 9.

No my dd was 5 days wary (induced due to pre eclampsia) and my twin and I were 3 weeks early

Yes for me too, 10 days late.

Was in slow labour 2 weeks before due date, in a car crash 7 days later, DS must have thought not going out there yet
