Poor you - that baby is taking its time.......come on Bub, Mummy is getting fed up !!

oneandbump · 27/11/2006 13:02

just wanted to see if things have moved on any further.

Have the hospital said how long they will leave you, as your waters have gone?

Nemoinapeartree · 27/11/2006 13:03

aww debsy thinking of you..am surprised if your waters have gone that the hospital hasnt asked you to go in to be checked as always thought you had 72hrs then risk of infection or something..may be wrong.

DebbsyandBibby · 27/11/2006 16:18

hi all been fighting all afternoon with my new net provider 3 hrs on the bloody phone....
i had conflicting advice from mw the 1st one said yes waters probably had started to go,then the one at ten said no they deffo hadnt so nothing else been done really had no further loss though no contractions either since sat well not bad ones anyhow.Bit of backache and pressure thats all oh and a bit of an upset tummy.
Not giving up yet though hoping this is the calm before the storm lol.
But in my baby book it says waters can trrickle a little where bibby has pierced sack then they can block it again with their head.Dunno if this is true or not.

Frizbe · 27/11/2006 20:58

I'm going with calm before storm Debsey, I was sick, sick sick with dd1 just before it all kicked off (oh and I was sick during as well, so hope your not!) My money is on delivery by 8.15am tomorrow fingers x;d for you anyway!

Bella23 · 28/11/2006 08:11

Debbsy - hope something kicked off during the night.

Well - Tabitha slept through the night from 7pm to 6:30am - HOORAH !! Sooo happy.....shame I didn't manage to sleep through as kept waking up every few hours wondering if she was ok !!

DebbsyandBibby · 28/11/2006 08:24

Hi Bella glad Tabitha let you have a good nites sleep hun.
Nothing from me had a few contractions last nite and this morning, lots of pressure though painful at times.

Bella23 · 28/11/2006 09:22

Debbsy - poor you, you must be sooo fed up by now!! It must be soon surely !!

DebbsyandBibby · 28/11/2006 09:28

Yep i am i know i shouldnt be and i should be grateful to be in the position im in and believe me i am im just soooooo uncomfy excited wondering when its going to be shocked at the level of pain you get with the contractions envious of all the ladies on the nov thread that have their babies
So as you can see quite a mixed bag of emotions today.lol.

Bella23 · 28/11/2006 10:28

I know this end bit is just soo difficult. Just got to stick with it and make sure you get the midwife round if you can't carry on any longer.

Cadmum · 28/11/2006 16:03

Thinking of you Debbsy and sending you positive labour vibes. My vote is for shortly after midnight Thursday a.m.

Nice to see you Nemo. I have been thinking about you lately. Hope you are well.

Bella: Are things more settled? How is your precious angel?

I have been worried about DD2 and tried to post under another name but blew my cover on another thread. I knew that I would be crap at name-changes!!!

oneandbump · 28/11/2006 16:34

You still going debs?

Had my growth scan 2day- they reckon 8 1/2- 9lb, which considering milo was 8lb 10, was what i was thinking. Im measuring the right size bump and he looks fine- so its just waiting for d day. Which means Nemo- you r probably gonna be next .

Hope everyone is well......

U ok cadmum? dd2 ok?

Cadmum · 28/11/2006 16:48

She is just fine. I am a professional worrier is all!

oneandbump · 28/11/2006 17:01

think you get that qualification as soon as you give birth ! lol

Bella23 · 28/11/2006 17:55

Caddy - good to see you !!
All lovely with Tabitha, she's such a smiley little girl. Its lovely for me now she is in a routine as I know what she wants etc. Am leaving her this weekend with DH as have a hen weekend. DH seems to think if he has her routine written down that it should be so easy - erm she's not a robot I keep telling him!! Well should be a good bonding experience for him!!
We seem to be arguing a lot recently.......I just seem to get so annoyed with all the responsibility being down to me.....I suppose I shouldn't complain seeing as he is looking after her this weekend, its just such an adjustment being at home all the time and not having my job anymore etc........
Sorry ladies, feeling a bit moany!
Hope your little one is ok....

Oneandbump - ooh D day soon.......

Debbsy - any progress yet?

Frizbe · 28/11/2006 19:40

Bella I'm still having trouble with getting my head around not having a job (as such I do dh's accounts, and am just finishing winding up my part time own thing....)and that's two kids later!! I guess it never helped that I gave up a high flying job either, that earnt more than dh, although we can get by on his wages at the mo, he has had to do more work than he'd like too since I packed up!! which can cause the odd bicker....

Debsey, sorry to hear your still carrying on, I'm putting my money on this Friday am then, will go for 8.15 again!!

Caddy, hope dd2 is really ok, you worry wart I totally agree with oneandbump, it just gets worse the more kids you have

Hi everyone else ooooooh congrats on the sleep thru Bella, you have an angel

DebbsyandBibby · 28/11/2006 21:15

hi ladies nope im still here cooked a chicken tikka masala tonight so fingers crossed lots of tightness in bump and few contractions nowt else though lol.Seeing mw tomorrow now she mentioned last weds if i go over when i see her tomorrow she will do a sweep hoping she still does (as she changes her mind all the time)i cant see her leaving it till the next week as i will be 9 days overdue and surely by then they will be looking at induction again as she herself said.
cadders how are you great to hear from you.
love to all send me some pos labour vibes please as im sooooo fed up!!

Frizbe · 29/11/2006 09:02

OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
There you go, lots of postivite labour vibes for you, now may I recommend sex this evening with your beloved dh, which should get things going 24 hrs later its worked twice for me, or maybe I was just due to pop who knows??
Oh and don't forget to practice your breathing exercises now lots!

DebbsyandBibby · 29/11/2006 09:06

been having regular contractions sinc 1am down to 7 mins now waters have gone pretty sure as had 5 wees in an hour all clear water and 3 that i couldnt stop.Pain got that bad couldnt even post on here thats why this is so late, spoke to hospital had tens machine on wait till 5 mins apart lasting for 40 secs.
contractions from 4am were like this
4.29
4.33
4.44
5.03
5.07
5.26
5.36
5.41
5.46
5.51
6.05
then 9 mins lasting 33seconds
then 6 mins 48 secs
then 6 mins 43 secs
then nothing for 1 hr 38 mins
now just got period type pains seeing mw at ten had no sleep feeling knackered
So now what surely if this was labour the contractions wouldnt have stopped?

Cadmum · 29/11/2006 10:28

Oh Debbsy! Sounds like a nighmare being up all night only to have it all die down in the morning. My poor cousin had this for days with her first but when things kicked off they did go quickly and smoothly.

It does sound as though your body is practicing for the big event.

I hope that the midwife visit goes well and that baby arrives safely soon!!

Thinking of you.

DebbsyandBibby · 29/11/2006 11:19

back from midwives im having effacement pains labour should follow gave me internal cervix still closed said that doesnt mean anything and can change very quickly it really really hurt so after having no sleep im going to lie down as still in pain.

oneandbump · 29/11/2006 12:21

oooh debs- hope something happens for you real soon honey.

Bella23 · 29/11/2006 13:33

Debbsy - try and get as much rest as you can, I know its really frustrating all this waiting but it will happen and when it does you will need all the strength you have.
Sending over loads of positive vibes!
