Bellas right get some rest now, I'm just grabbing two secs on here as dd2 just gone for a nap, dd1 in front of Cbeebies (bad mummy!) mind you I have managed to hoover car today, with dd1 in passenger seat, and dd2 strapped into buggy outside you forget how much freedom there is to do things when your on your own!

munz · 12/11/2006 21:42

lol@ friz - ah yes J seems to spend most of his day strapped in his buggy! lol - hangin out the washing, me hoovering in doors! lol - he's developed a fasination with the hoover and crawling after me using it, not to mention the stairs today we tried to climb the stairs when DH left the gate open thankfully no accidents.

debs - how's u gettin on hon?

Bella23 · 13/11/2006 13:31

No news yet then?

Ok - could do with some advice from you seasoned Mums.
Tabitha always slept for 2 and half hours at lunch time nap.....also used to have to wake her up at this point. Over the last few days she is now waking up after 45 mins (which I understand is when they come into light sleep). I therefore have been leaving her to cry for a bit which she has been doing for about 5 mins at a time every 15 mins or so. I have not gone in to her at all just let her settle on her own. What do you think ladies........am I doing the right thing and she will get the message that she has to go back to sleep after just 45 mins or should I be going in to comfort?
All advice much appreciated, have looked at the sleep threads but there are so many different opinions! I know you lot so would like to hear your thoughts...

munz · 13/11/2006 13:32

how old is she now bella?

oneandbump · 13/11/2006 14:30

Hi- Milo was a nightmare daytime sleeping- He just would nt do it! but would cry endlessly as he was over tired. We did leave him to cry and he would eventually drop off- he now goes to bed at 7.30 on his own- has a story and does not wake until 7.00 and has done this since the age of 1. However i think it really does depend on the child, some people are not happy with letting their little one cry and yet others hate the idea of comforting them to sleep.

As long as you feel confy with what you doing now- then stick to it. I know sometimes you feel a little lost as a first time mum and its like everyone is telling you different things- go with you head bella!

Any news debs?

Bella23 · 13/11/2006 14:57

She is 6 weeks
I have cracked the bedtime routine - she goes down happily at 7pm after bath and bottle routine so don't want to push things as she is so good during the night.

DebbsyandBibby · 13/11/2006 15:32

Sorry not been around thanks for well wishes im still here been so busy, having carpet fitted, and Sophie one of the bassetts has gone in for an operation this morning so ive been really busy.Been to se mw this afternoon she confirmed pressure pains are bibbys head engaging 4/5 now so still away to go she said the pains will get worse as he moves down ,bump dropped and she says average weight he will be will be 7.5-8lbs

DebbsyandBibby · 13/11/2006 15:32

Hope everyone is well xx

munz · 13/11/2006 15:39

ah debs said that to me and J was 7lb! lol. damn thought u'd be in early labour! lol. not much left to go down.

bella - hmm, J went thru a simliar thing around then, tbh I left him to do his own thing but didn't leave him to cry, he seemed to come round after 45 mins and if I was sat down watchin him he'd go off again, I think it lasted about 2/3 weeks. settled back down thou. really 6 weeks already??

Bella23 · 13/11/2006 15:42

Debbsy - when is your due date?

Munz - thanks for the advice, will see how she gets on over the next few days

Frizbe · 14/11/2006 19:56
