backwardpossom · 29/10/2012 12:43

Congratulations Swansea! Great news [hgrin]

Cadmum · 29/10/2012 12:56

Brilliant news Swansea. Congratulations!

I am leaking cholostrum. I don't remember it happening so early in previous pregnancies... 17+1.

StateofConfusion · 29/10/2012 13:28

Lovely news swansea. Less of a wait than you'd been lead to believe.

Totally knackered here. DH promised DS that I would take him swimming. HmmAngry. The baby pool was shut even though the website said it was open so we had to go in the freezing main pool.

Loads of movement from baby too, can't believe that I'm 30+3 already!

elsabel · 29/10/2012 17:25

Congratulations swansea! X

Hi all, have put up a seperate post (ignore if you see it) but will try and make this one more positive and thought you ladies may understand more! Am thrilled to be pregnant again with dc2 after 3mcs, but really struggling with the first trimester symptoms and the anxiety. I have a gorgeous ds who is only 20mths and I think feeling all the vibes from me and seems really off at the moment. DH is wonderfully supportive. Just feel completely useless, I am being so sick all the time, I am completely exhausted and just feel like crying. Today has been particularly hard, I haven't even kept water down, ds teething and seems to hate me and work has been really full on.

Any tips for coping with this, even just for a few more weeks. I have had 2 early scans and have another next week. all looks good and i know all the symptoms are a good sign, just feeling sorry for myself which is really not on when we are lucky enough to hve got this far with the pregnancy so far!

On a lighter note DH convinced it must be a girl!

P.S. huge congratulations Swansea!!

StateofConfusion · 29/10/2012 23:35

Welcome aboard alpha

Everyone here has felt how you have, that one thing I can tell you. I can't reassure you though as at 32wks I still feel shit scared some days, overwhelmed and like my big dcs hate me and what am I doing adding to the chaos? Yes, see all normal!

Pregnancy post mc is so hard emotionally, we've lost our innocence. But as you can see from swanseas wonderful news we do get to have good pregnancys after, this ones been a breeze for me after the niggly first trimester. Most days I'm confident and happy, but still the fear hovers in the background sometimes.

My hardest pregnancy was with my daughter so your DH may be on to something. Best of luck and make yourself at home here!

Scan for wednesday girls, why am I worried when my belly looks like some bizare gymnastics show?

Hi I'm 8 weeks today. Don't know but it feels like a bit of a milestone. Plenty of breast tenderness as well as tiredness so all good here. Just need a midwife/scan appointment then I can let myself get properly excited!

WLmum · 30/10/2012 18:36

Good luck for tomorrow Swansea! Hopebit all goes well, look forward to the happy announcement and a pic too if u can manage it! X

sundaesundae · 30/10/2012 19:30

hi all! A week till my 20 week scan, think I am going to have a breakdown :( I am so worried. I wish I knew the chances of something being wrong, but I am not sure even that helps. I know it is somewhere between 10 and 1%, but then I convince myself that with my sore bump and previous spotting I am at high risk of being in that group. My brain just keeps telling me that I have been preggers twice before and no baby, so why would this be different.

I have a fabbo doppler and feeling proper kicks today.

WLmum · 30/10/2012 22:25

Oh sundae I think we all felt like that, try not to beat yourself up. My bump is sore alot too - I think it's largely down to muscle separation and skin struggling - am def getting more stretch marks in the sore region. Is this the farthest you've got with a pg? Chances are all will be well but we all understand it's so easy to say. X

WLmum · 30/10/2012 22:52

Oops, thread hadn't updated - hooray for Swansea! So glad all is well, can't wait to see a pic. Great weight especially given all the problems you've had - well done!

gemdrop84 · 31/10/2012 06:59

congratulations swansea and well done, can't wait to see a picture! hope you're all well ladies, good luck with scans, you'll be fine state had a bit of a pants day yesterday worrying after a not so nice dream the previous night, feeling much better today, have a very wriggly little boy Grin sundae felt exactly the same before my 20 wk scan, found it very difficult emotionally. Just tried to keep myself occupied on a crap day and time seems to have flown by. x

StateofConfusion · 31/10/2012 13:27

Baby brain strikes again! Scan is tomorrow morning, not today Blush

So glad I'm not the only one state!

welliesandpyjamas · 01/11/2012 04:39

Just popped back on the thread to see how Swansea is getting on and I see CONGRATULATIONS are in order Grin Well done and hope you're recovering well. Post that pic when you get a chance Smile

Glad to see everyone else is doing well too and have just the expected pregnancy complaints Grin So who is next now?? Time for a roll call?

All well here. DD is a month old already Shock She's still a dream and still has us all smitten. [Happy sigh]. I'll change the pic on my profile in a mo for you to see.

Thinking of you all x

WLmum · 01/11/2012 08:24

So glad wellies. I guess next up is a race between state and I - I'm booked in for c sec on 28th dec (due date 19th dec)...

StateofConfusion · 01/11/2012 08:36

So lovely to hear from you wellies :)

I'm now off for my 32+5wk scan, hopefully to discuss an eviction date for wriggler.

Yep its between me and wl now who pops next!

gemdrop84 · 01/11/2012 11:32

Aw wellies, it's so wonderful, glad you're all doing well. Can't wait to see a picture, think as wlmum said it's between her and state next!! I'm rather giddy this morning, 29wks today Grin I just can't believe I'm here! hope you're all well. Good luck with the scan state x

StateofConfusion · 01/11/2012 11:49

Scan was fine, baby measuring well, still and awkward bugger and refused to let us find out what he/she is! Useless stand in consultant who managed to miss the fact that I've got two dcs! And a cracking headache after having to be almost upside down for the scan

OP posts:
WLmum · 01/11/2012 18:10

I meant 18th dec not 28th! Fat fingers typing on the phone to blame! How funny state, your little one sure wants to keep his/her secret til the end. Shame about the headache though. Glad all going well for you gem I'm feeling very excited about having this little in my arms, but really hoping that he/she stays put til 18th dec cos I've still got so much to do!

backwardpossom · 01/11/2012 20:09

Hi guys, just popping in to say that I had detailed scan yesterday and everything is as it should be! Am so relieved!

State glad your scan was ok xx

StateofConfusion · 01/11/2012 20:10

There will be days in it for us then wl I've been told between the 14th and 21st, exact date tbc on 29th Nov.

I can't wait, I really cannot wait, I almost feel like I miss him/her, its strange I didn't feel like this with the big two --i was terrified lol--

Dp was rather in awe at todays measurements, "31cm head circumference, that's huge already"
