gem I totally know how you feel I go through phases of with the heartburn awful for days then none at all, today I've lived off apple juice, reeces pieces and dp managed to tempt me with a sandwich in sainsburys. I just feel meh today!

This home straights the longest bit I think!

It's nice to see the stories from people who are almost at term, gives me hope.

I know it's ridiculous but I seem to have a complete lack of pregnancy symptoms and feel like I'm just waiting for bad news. I don't feel happy or excited at all. DH is getting worried about me. I need some sort of "sign" that something really is going on in there!

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 10:29

grain this has been my most symtomless pregnancy, been an absolute breeze, terrifying at times, the pregnancy I had the most symtoms was the one I lost at 14wks!
I'd usually say try not to worry but I know that's impossible, I will worry until this wrigglers in my arms, then ill have new things to worry over! Best of luck and keep posting, usually one of us here has been through the same atleast x

I'm on the hunt for some slouchy under bump jeans, seems most now are skinny and because I'm quite short and legs a little chunky they look awful, mainly in trackies and aerobic trousers for the mo' and I sold my best comfy pair on eBay after last baby.

Am v happy today, had a consultant appointment on tues and they have given me anti sickness mess and reinstated my mild anti depressants, yay, no more headaches, earaches, head fog or agitated sleeping :) 2 days and am feeling so much better, just have to work out what time at night to take them to make sure th ey are through the system by the time I have to do my school run in the morning, this morning I was sooo dopey....

MrsReiver · 18/10/2012 11:44

Same here Grain. During the pregnancy that ended with the miscarriage I had the most awful morning sickness, even after we knew the baby had passed away.

Shirley - I'm 5ft 3 and have really struggled to find any jeans that aren't too long in the leg. I've given up and bought el cheapo maternity leggings off Ebay. They're a little baggy around the knees but my God they are comfy!

MrsReiver · 18/10/2012 11:51

That was meant to be me saying that I'm the same as State in that this pregnancy has been my most symptomless.

I'm not exactly doing very well today - trying to talk to kids, eat lunch at post at the same time. I need to start today over again!

grainmum · 18/10/2012 12:03

Thanks MrsReiver and State - that's a bit reassuring. Having a few tummy twinges today so maybe that's my sign that something is growing - oddly I find this reassuring rather than worrying!

StateofConfusion · 18/10/2012 12:22

I did have lots of twinges, sometimes like an ache, sometimes like an elastic band twanging, does that make sense?

OP posts:
MrsReiver · 18/10/2012 13:43

Oh yeah, I had a lot of growing pains. I've found the solution to over the bump maternity jeans that won't stay up - braces!!!

MrsReiver · 18/10/2012 20:24

State you need to read this thread Grin www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/a1590231-To-want-updates-on-the-following#34842948

StateofConfusion · 19/10/2012 09:44

So excited for you swansea Grin

Thanks gem she's just one of those people, doesn't have many people skills

How's everyone doing, I've realised my balance is gone. Haven't used the bus since first trimester, and I feel most unstable on it today.

MrsReiver · 19/10/2012 10:30

Oh how exciting Swansea!!! I hope it flies in.

How's everyone doing today? Feeling a bit under the weather, blocked nose and sore back so TGIF! Been leaf rubbing with the kids and now flopped in front of Gnomeo and Juliet - we've been stuck indoors crafting all week, so don't think I'm being a bad childminder to give them some TV time - just a tired pregnant one. It is the holidays after all!

gemdrop84 · 19/10/2012 10:41

Sad poorly today, dd went to bed early, was fine at nursery but started burning up and complained of tummy/headache through the afternoon. Poor little lamb! She's her usual cheeky self this morning though! Poor dp woke up feeling bit achy and has bad head. Gone into work though, only got a couple of lessons today so wont be such a busy day for him hopefully. I kept waking up last night hot/sweaty then cold with a headache. Felt awful this morning, whole pelvic region was hurting and I've got tummy ache. Also had a blind panic as hadn't felt lil boy move at all this morning and only just realised (although he did have a jiggle each time I was up last night). Sang a lullaby and got 4 kicks from him, will keep close eye on movements today, was nearly in tears earlier. Pyjama day today me thinks.

backwardpossom · 19/10/2012 10:42

Morning. I woke up feeling a bit rubbish today too, but not so bad now I've had a decent breakfast. Hope you feel a bit better soon, MrsR! I am 20 weeks today. Shock Feeling movements all the time now, which is so reassuring. I have loads of things I need to do today, so I need to get a move on... mostly involves phoning people, and I hate phoning people... Bah.

backwardpossom · 19/10/2012 10:43

Cross posts, hope you feel better soon too, gem!

gemdrop84 · 19/10/2012 10:45

hope you feel better soon mrsr I feel like I'm the worst mummy in the world today! DD's watching telly and prob stick a dvd on bit later, can't be bothered to do anything and also having to stay in as we have our dining room table/chairs being delivered at some point today. Very exciting swansea, not long at all!

gemdrop84 · 19/10/2012 10:49

thanks possom hope you get on ok with your phone calls, always hated talking on the phone so you have my sympathies Smile

StateofConfusion · 19/10/2012 16:12

Its not just me! I hate speaking on the phone, don't mind to dp and my Mum but most other people I'd really rather not, and actually prefer to drive to the clinic to make MW apts than call and book!

I've been child free since school and nursery drop off as I've gone to see my Mum, dp has them to himself tonight, I'm staying here and he's fetching me tomorrow. I am Really enjoying the peace I have to say!

OP posts:
backwardpossom · 19/10/2012 17:40

Yes State I would rather drive to the docs to make an appointment than phone, too! How sad... Wink It's odd as I'm a really confident and outgoing person, but don't like the phone at all!

I made all the calls I needed to and one of them ended up in me getting my flu jab this afternoon! They'd had a cancellation so I snapped it up. :) Got a bit of a sore arm now and I believe that can be normal for a couple of days... sigh

MrsReiver · 19/10/2012 21:25

I don't mind phoning my Mum and brothers, and even my GPs is okay because the receptionist is one of my neighbours, but everyone else I would much rather email or go to see in person. I should have rung the DWP for an application form for Maternity Allowance this week but have conveniently found excuses every day. Plenty time to come on Mumsnet, but not enough to make a phone call Grin
