Glad your back is ok, mine is fine now! little boy has moved and seems to be jumping about on my cervix now, making me wince Confused. Will look online about my hand, thanks, it's weird how these things just come on so quickly!

MrsReiver · 14/10/2012 22:34

Ooh Gem, I hadn't thought of Peacocks, I'll give our local one a ring tomorrow and see if they have their maternity range in stock, their online store has yet to launch! I hope your hot water bottle helps, I think I might take one to bed for my arm. I'm sorry if we're putting you off LOL, it's not painful as such, just kind of "there" IYSWIM.

gemdrop84 · 15/10/2012 08:09

yeah peacocks are the only shop in my town that do mat clothes in store so might be worth a look where you are!

SwanseaMum · 15/10/2012 08:10

MumTumWanted · 15/10/2012 17:02

Hey ladies
I'm usually on the mosh out thread but Di lurk on here ... For those I don't know I'm 13 weeks ,, 3 previous mc varying degrees and dates and can't stop metalling !
Self I had to pop on just to say the pains in the hands and wrists .... Check out carpal tunnel .... V common in pregnancy I had with my dd 13 years ago it's dud to swelling and pushes on the nerves hence the pain tingly pins and Needely sensations . It's harmless and generally goes after but you can. Get externally worn wrist splints from the gp. A good clue is that despite it affecting hand wrist and fingers your baby finger is fine .... It doesn't go through the nerve carpal tunnel so is generally unaffected by the swelling ... Hth xxxxx

MumTumWanted · 15/10/2012 17:02

Damn I phone and auto correct I can spell I promise Blush please excuse the previous errors !

gemdrop84 · 15/10/2012 18:15

oooh swansea I bet you can't wait! thanks mumtum

StateofConfusion · 15/10/2012 19:45

Hiya mumtum

I've googled carpal tunnel but I don't have swelling that me or dp notice, my rings and fitted bracelets aren't tighter, yet I get it exactly as you explain, not my little finger and lots of pins and needles pains and then constant aches, will ring my gp tomorrow. Dp said its me spending too much time on mumsnet!

Whens your next scan mumtum? Mines 1st November, seems aaages away, but then I remember everything I have left to buy for dc3 and christmas oh and dds birthday and think the next 10 weeks are coming up too fast!

Hope everyones doing ok. swansea do we have a date yet?? Smile

So I get home from work to find we now have no water supply in the kitchen for the next couple of weeks - any tips on washing up in the bath with a massive 7 month belly?!

bonzo77 · 15/10/2012 21:06

WL only suggestion I have is for someone else to do it. Or use paper plates!

StateofConfusion · 15/10/2012 23:54

Are you anywhere near a macro or £land? Get disposable oven trays/plates etc and wash up the bare minimum. Tbh that kind of thing would push me over the edge!

I had a mc last year. Am now almost 13wks, and have a dating scan booked for this week. Both my prev mcs were quite early on, so I do find it reassuring that baby has made it this far.

A bit anxious as a year beforehand we had a little boy who died shortly after birth - we then discovered it was a rare genetic illness we both carry. A 1 in 4 chance of this baby having it. We asked for a referral to a Hosp that have specialists in this illness, but have been refused so far. We have a cons appt at 15wks. I know there isn't much they can do, but the refusal to see us sooner or talk to us sooner (given we have to make a decision on whether to have an amnio) is making us feel like it's not being taken seriously & this is seriously cranking up the stress levels.

The wrong cause of death has been written on my notes, the CMW says she was told to write it and cannot change it - I haven't slept properly since I saw it. I think I'm going to have to become the pushy, angry person (that really isn't me) for the forseeable - noone's going to listen otherwise. I wish someone at the Hosp would listen and treat me with some dignity. It feels like this baby doesn't matter to them, and nor do I. I wish I had the option of hiding away for the next 20-odd weeks.

SwanseaMum · 16/10/2012 10:30

Arrrrrrrr get a date today so excited its ridiculous, haven't slept all night!! Roll on 3 o'clock :)

Welcome everyone new again xx

grainmum · 16/10/2012 11:07

Hello, I'm 6 weeks today after a MMC diagnosed on a scan at 10 weeks (baby 9+5) in July. Didn't expect to fall pregnant again first cycle, sometimes excited and happy but most of the time just not sure if I really am pregnant. Somehow I've got to distract myself for the next 6-ish weeks until I have a scan. Last time I instantly noticed breast tenderness and enlargement, but nothing yet this time. Any hints on how to make the next six weeks pass in a flash??

Littlemissimpatient · 16/10/2012 11:46

grainmum if you find out let me know! I hate the 12wk wait. Luckily I have been advised I will be getting a weekly scan. Not sure if that puts my mind at rest more or less!

SwanseaMum · 16/10/2012 16:52

Well am having this little one 26.10.12
Wish it were sooner but safety 1st xx

Morning all, a word of advice to everyone getting the flu and whooping cough jabs, if you can make sure you get a good break between them, two sore shoulders and a massive bump makes sleeping a tricky task!

MrsReiver · 17/10/2012 09:25

Karen and Grain - welcome to the thread, congratulations and good luck.

Karen, shout, scream, stamp your feet - do whatever you have to, to get the right care for you and your LO. You'll get plenty support, cheering on and hand holding on here.

Swansea - I'm so excited for you! 9 days to go!!!

State - yeuch, how are you feeling today?

StateofConfusion · 17/10/2012 10:47

A lot better after a bath, but my arms are so sore! I feel so bad for the dcs having to have these jabs!

Got some gorgeous tiny christmas pjs for wriggler yesterday :)

gemdrop84 · 17/10/2012 12:32

aw state thanks for the tip and hope you sleep well soon! I had a terrible night last night. Had constant heartburn/acid reflux for last couple of days and it was really bad once I laid down in bed last night and today I've got a really upset tummy. I also felt quite sore around the pelvic region so was tossing and turning for ages! Feeling really sorry for myself and I have a bar of choc in the fridge which I don't even feel like touching! Shock I had a banana for breakfast and I'm trying to eat a sandwich at the minute as I don't want to starve our little guy!
