I think you can do one on the day your period is due.

You can get ones that detect it early though. :)

LordOfThe5Rings · 03/08/2012 19:37

Thanks. Wasn't sure if there was a rough time frame you should leave it.

3 days isn't too bad so get one tomorrow probably if haven't stArted.

I did mine the day I was due and got an accurate result (clear blue digital one)

LordOfThe5Rings · 03/08/2012 20:30

Wow everyone seems to check quite early then.

cookielove · 03/08/2012 21:05

Which really means you should go get a test now and POAS!!

Panzee · 03/08/2012 21:22

Best stay out of the Conception forum, that'll really open your eyes! Shock

LordOfThe5Rings · 03/08/2012 22:57

First wee of the day has the highest concentration of hormones, so it is best to test then. I didn't and got a false negative, hence didn't find out until 2nd month.

cookielove · 05/08/2012 13:20

Erm sorry i am nosy did you POAS?

LordOfThe5Rings · 05/08/2012 16:13

I am at my parents and Mum said she had one, but couldn't find it this morning so have to wait til tomorrow morning.

So watch this space at about 9am tomorrow morning.

[probably not though - because I have been ttc for years].

I found out three days before mine was due, so no harm testing a bit early! One was First Response Early Result (faint line) and one was Sainsburys Own Digital (popped up 'pregnant' right away).

LordOfThe5Rings · 05/08/2012 16:17

I wish they were open on Sunday's - but best to test first thing in the morning anyway. Bit awkward since I'm at my parents, but hey ho - I can talk to my Mum really easy.

PeshwariNaan · 05/08/2012 16:19

Good luck!!!

ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 16:23

I had a positive on a pound land cheapie at 9pm on the day I was due on. There is bound to be a supermarket open somewhere. I would be going crazy waiting!

LordOfThe5Rings · 05/08/2012 17:46

Got one! Thanks to my parents living in Weymouth and Weymouth housing the sailing for the Olympics, I have managed to get one.

Mum reckons it's not a positive, just feels it may be late with a vengeance, as sometimes it runs in the family... So not getting my hopes too high.

But I have got quite a bit of discharge TMI I know which is a bit strange.

Just gotta wait til 7am ish tomorrow.

WipsGlitter · 05/08/2012 17:51

Omg. Dont keep us in suspense. Poas now!!

ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 17:51

When you say your mum reckons it is not a positive, is it because there is no line, or a feint line? A line is a line. What do you think?

ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 17:52

You have tested haven't you?

LordOfThe5Rings · 05/08/2012 18:00

Nope, waiting to produce some half decent urine.

She reckons because in the past others in the family have had late periods that just came back with a vengeance.

No actual idea yet.

Within next 30 minutes I hope! Mum keeps telling me not to drink too much liquid, as it can dilute the test results? (huh?)

OP posts:
ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 18:00

Perhaps she is telling others the result before us? The cheek of it!

ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 18:00

X post sorry.

LordOfThe5Rings · 05/08/2012 18:01

Discharge is a good thing. Fingers crossed for you. If neg tonight, do retest in morning. Cheap tests as good as any IMO
