Light hearted question, but share yours with people that care and might even empathise (DH is struggling to keep his sympathy face on these days).

Mine would have to be acid reflux I reckon (with a silver for the SPD and a bronze for sore under-carriage)!

I'm 25weeks, my first,is upper abdominal pains normal? Like quick sharp pains? An is a over active normal too?

CaptainHetty · 07/08/2012 14:31

Today, it's hormones.

I need a sign or something saying 'Pregnant hormonal woman. Do not speak to/look at the wrong way/breathe too loudly near. Danger of having your fucking eyes clawed out'.

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 07/08/2012 14:38

VictoriaBitter - is your first pg?

aries I have had something like that but felt like it was in my lung rather than upper abdominal. I just thought I was running out of space.

Captain I need to stop watching / reading about Olympics. I keep crying.

And I've got a long way to go til December...........

VictoriaBitter · 07/08/2012 14:41

No it's not, AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard, why?

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 07/08/2012 14:44

I was just wondering why you were frightened. I didn't know if was because you'd had a shitty time before or if it was fear of the unknown.

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 07/08/2012 14:47

Not that you have to say at all by the way. Was more of a sorry to hear that Brew rather than a nosey one....Smile

VictoriaBitter · 07/08/2012 15:06

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard, I am terrified that my baby is going to be stillborn Sad.

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 07/08/2012 15:43

Victoria am so sorry. I wish I had the right words to make you feel better. Have you spoken to MW - maybe they could let you have extra appointments so you can be reassured?

VictoriaBitter · 07/08/2012 17:44

Actually Giraffe, you do have the words. They are: "pull yourself together VB!" Grin. I think I am worrying more because of how long it has taken us to get here. We lost a baby shortly after birth and have since endured 3 cycles of [self-funded] IVF. This pregnancy has not been without problems and I spent 3 months on bed rest. I guess I can't get my head around the fact that we will - almost certainly - have a healthy baby in a few weeks' time.

Anyway, back to moaning about morning sickness, etc...

aries24 · 07/08/2012 17:48

victoriabitter why did the baby pass after birth?

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 07/08/2012 18:57

VB doesn't sound like you need me to tell you anything Grin . You've had a hell of a time getting to this point - and am not remotely surprised that you're worried and wondering what comes next. You due in a few weeks? Am keeping everything crossed for you and hope you can get lots of rest....?!

Keep us all informed please. And a very non mumsnet hand hold from me for the next few weeks.

So sorry for your previous loss.

And we're back to SPD / feeling vile ....Wink

Complicated24 · 07/08/2012 19:03

Constipation. My supermarket is now doing a roaring trade in prunes and All Bran!!!

Angelico · 07/08/2012 19:58

I'm back again to whine again about the heartburn. 31+4 and sod 'this sex', this oesophagus is on fire Confused

Angelico · 07/08/2012 19:59

And the bean is wriggling like a good 'un as I sit here typing... occasionally with bony little elbow jags which are quite agonising Confused

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 07/08/2012 20:01

Anyone else feel like they've been kicked in the fanjo by a horse?

TheDetective · 07/08/2012 20:54

Occasionally - but mine is more partial to an arsehole kick. What's all that about eh child?!

Never did I consider the possibility of being kicked by my lovely little parasite in the bumhole.

theTramp · 08/08/2012 09:42

comp - liquorice is great for easing constipation.

aries24 · 08/08/2012 11:32

I feel like a bloody coke bottle with the amount of gas!! Releasing all the time or else I die of discomfort! Very embarrassing!

theTramp · 09/08/2012 07:53

For first time in my life (that I recall) I've been kept awake all night due to gas. And I'm now a one woman expulsion machine. Nnngh

Gbnewbie · 09/08/2012 08:39

Only 13w and the bloatedness has got to be %231 closely followed by the tiredness. Latest addition is a pile... Any suggestions to move it along before it invites friends along most welcome!! Confused

Queendodo · 09/08/2012 11:06

Being 12 sodding days past my due date - next person to observe that I am 'still pregnant then' will get a swift kick in the shins.

Am beyond bad tempered and do not want to go for induction tomorrow!

At least the sun is shining I suppose..............

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 10/08/2012 09:26

Good luck today Queen. Though obviously hoping you went into a quick, pain free labour last night and there's no induction for you today? Grin

I went two weeks over with my DCs. Such fun hearing "Gah, haven't you had that baby yet" 38 times a day for the last month of pregnancy.

theressomethingaboutmarie · 10/08/2012 10:48

Gold - not being able to stay asleep. The next person who says "It's nature's way of preparing you for your new baby not sleeping" will be kicked in the crotch.

Silver - never being able to get sodding well comfortable (in bed, on the sofa, in the car).

Bronze - constantly needing to pee but nothing coming out when I go to the loo for the umpteenth time

Am 37+1 and ready for this one to come out now!! DD was born at 37 weeks so I feel a little cheated (self-indulgent emoticon)

RossettiConfetti · 10/08/2012 11:10

This is quite grim, but I've not told anybody yet and I really feel the need to share. (DH and DD are away, all my friends and family are away, I'm home alone, can't tell my colleagues at work).

I'm 28 weeks, I have a catarrh-cough / cold. Slept really badly this week as as soon as I lie down I start coughing myself sick. Also coughing lots during the day. Every time I cough, if I've not very recently emptied my bladder, I wee a little bit. I have to try to run to the loo to do a wee first while holding in the coughing fit, which doesn't always work. I work in comms for a big int. organization and am covering meetings all week, so have been darting out of meetings/conferences (can't take time off without it being really bad for my team).

Yesterday I walked briskly out of a meeting (over 60 people in it, I wasn't speaking) to the loo, locked myself in, got on the loo only to start coughing, and then promptly threw up while on the loo. The sick landed in my knickers and all over the floor. I binned my knickers, cleaned up the toilet room, and spent the next few hours wearing no knickers as that day I'd forgotten to pack spares in my handbag and couldn't get out anywhere to buy more - and certainly wasn't going to send the office junior out to buy me knickers!

I felt quite humiliated with myself and now feel like I brought it on myself because I've not diligently done my pelvic floor exercises for the last three years since birth of my first child. I did do them in the months after the birth, and sporadically since, but definitely not 10 a day for the rest of my life or whatever they tell you to do. Is it my fault? Or is doing a bit of wee when you have a bad cough and are nearly 7 months pregnant with second baby normal? No answers in the negative please Grin

So glad it's almost the weekend and I can sleep. If the sciatica lets me get comfortable...

ithastobeNAICEham · 10/08/2012 12:06

At the moment, the worst thing for me is when the baby moves into certain postions it feels like she is trying to push herself out of the bump IYSWIM! This results in the bump being very painful and me nearly in tears!

Second on the list has to be the heaartburn every bloody night, my OH has helpfully informed me that a glass of milk helps... Yeah, if you can drink the stuff! I know what's causing it though, cheese! If I don't have any cheese during the day, its no where near as bad and my renatideen get rId of it!

Unfortunatly, my main craving? Fucking cheese!!!
