Light hearted question, but share yours with people that care and might even empathise (DH is struggling to keep his sympathy face on these days).

Mine would have to be acid reflux I reckon (with a silver for the SPD and a bronze for sore under-carriage)!

Oh, and constant sniffles. I go through tonnes of Kleenex.

Chunkychicken · 03/08/2012 15:43

Gold; the clumsiness/forgetfulness that triggers a huge case of rage/self-loathing because I fucked up...

Silver; the constant need for panty liners & feeling slightly damp down there Blush

Bronze; the achey hips/inability to twist & turn properly which seems to catch me by surprise.

Honorable mention; the shock every time I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror/reflective surface "Oh shit. I look fat... Oh that's right, I'm preggers..." Every time - its embarrassing. Also, relates to the winning symptom I suspect!!!

TittyWhistles · 03/08/2012 15:48

emilie thanks for that, I don't do dairy already as I'm lactose intolerant!

I've been told its because of the increase in blood volume, causes blood vessels to swell and irritate nasal passages. I've always had rhinitis and sinus problems, specialist say I have "small tubes"!

Right now, as far as awful symptoms go, it's a toss up between that and The Itchy Tits! Aargh!

sammyleh · 03/08/2012 16:01

Has to be the headaches. Although thankfully they've subsided for now (at 28 weeks) they were horrendous. The only think I've been to the doctors for. Closely followed by SPD which I think I've got a mild case of :)

AGiraffeOnTheDivingBoard · 03/08/2012 16:03

Tittywhistles I've got an itchy left boob ......constantly.... and aggressive itching of my nipple does nothing to relieve it.

Night time leg cramps - wake up feeling like I've been shot in the calf.

Am about 23wks on pg3 - and SPD starting up in my left hip and once again look like I'm already about to give to birth.

Purplelooby · 03/08/2012 16:12

Gold: The rib pain. I would say 'ache' but it doesn't really describe it. Especially when I wake up every hour in the night in agony and need to do the 'whale turning in the shallows' thing.

Silver: Heart-burn - using Rinitidine but still on maximum dose of Rennies.

Bronze: Not being able to reach the laptop keys properly due to bump being in the way Wink

EmilieFloge · 03/08/2012 16:59

Oh sorry Titty, apologies for Completely Useless Advice Grin

I have the itchy tits too...

I don't really mind it too much, it's one of those ones where it sort of doesn't compare to the really awful stuff iyswim. I find the pain related ones interesting, the SPD that will surely approach as I get towards the third trimester and the muscle aches and so on. It's like I can expect sympathy for those, and make a justified fuss - while the nausea and so on is such a horrible thing that however nice anyone is about it, it doesn't matter, I still wish I could walk off a cliff during it!

I keep forgetting I'm pregnant...still an element of denial I think.

woopsidaisy · 03/08/2012 18:24

Heartburn.............aaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!

RnB · 03/08/2012 18:34

Nausea at the beginning...

...but now at 33 weeks it's a toss up between horrific aching feet/legs and SPD

banana69 · 03/08/2012 22:54

Exhaustion, S frickin PD (couldnt walk therefore put on shed load of weight.....sweet!), nausea of course.
Why is it so bloomin' awful when it's meant to be the most natural thing in the world ?!?!
Mama nature is a wicked lady.

However 4 months post birth all is forgotten and forgiven, they are so worth it!

HelloBear · 04/08/2012 04:41

Currently...Insomnia...why, oh why can I not sleep (see time of post) when I KNOW tomorrow I will barely beable to keep my eyes open but will have a very active 2yo to look after.

But the top is the HELL that is the first trimester (+4 weeks or so). Heartburn, acid reflux, nausea, voming, tiredness beyond belief, hormonal craziness, etc. I refuse to ever contemplate pregnancy again because of this.

ReturnOfTheMunx · 04/08/2012 04:54

hellobear me too!

Been up for an hour now, not looking forward to running after toddler DD tomorrow!

33 weeks here, sleep has been bad from conception!

It will all be worth it though Wink

tomatoplantproject · 04/08/2012 04:57

SPD which makes doing anything so darn difficult, and insomnia which makes not being able to do anything so darn difficult to deal with. Cue tears. And still 13 weeks of this nonsense to go...

ReturnOfTheMunx · 04/08/2012 04:59

Quite a few of us up then, shall I make some cocoa? Grin

I have PGP as well so yes totally agree, thank goodness DH is on holiday ATM so some respite.......

I had quite forgotten how bad the pain was in my first pregnancy.

All being well, this is definately my last DC!!!

MissPollysTrolleyed · 04/08/2012 08:14

Varicose veins. I'm supposed to wear support tights but a) the weather is too hot, b) they look downright awful at this time of years and c) they are really tight so very hard to pull on with a giant bump in the way. So, I don't wear them and my veins get sorer and more unsightly by the day Sad.

I also have zero patience.

sundaesundae · 04/08/2012 13:56

Boobs are probably the worst at the moment as they hurt constantly.

Morning sickness is bad today, can barely move for it.

amybelle1990 · 04/08/2012 14:13

Hyperemesis, acid reflux, general ligament pain (mostly in my back) in that order.
But it'll soon be worth it!!! :D

SMCookie · 04/08/2012 15:38

I only found out yesterday (so chuffed) but keep getting an ache on the lower left hand side of my belly and being paranoid that this may not last :(

SMCookie · 04/08/2012 15:41

...first time pregnancy and have been trying. No one to talk to about it, hoping you will all say that is normal!

JennerOSity · 04/08/2012 16:03

SMCookie an ache can just be an ache, you can have many of those from day one onwards and they don't necessarily mean a thing. Don't worry too much about it unless you get bleeding. I am pregnant with second and had some aches like that early on with first though not with second for whatever reason.

Pickles77 · 04/08/2012 16:04

My most hated part of being pregnant today... I just got stuck in a public loo as I was desperate and squished myself in Blush

JennerOSity · 04/08/2012 16:07

Current award for spoiling my day goes to SPD, which makes small tasks and sleep difficult (especially getting back to sleep after dc1 wakes in the night).

The number of people who keep gawping and commenting on how huge my bump is even though it has just been measured as bang on target is getting tedious.

However although it doesn't really spoil me day the one I am most bothered about, because it is permanent, is the receded gum line. :(

nosleepwithworry · 04/08/2012 16:10

feeling full all of the time, and the only signal for hunger is feeling very unwell, headachy and nauseous.
Its driving me a bit mad tbh as i am gaining weight like a bastard.

Also i have absolutely no patience, bad tempered almost like premenstrual all the time. Its horrid.

nosleepwithworry · 04/08/2012 16:12
