What did your first baby weigh? And then what did your second?

I'm just interested to know!

My first baby was born term (40+1) at 6lb 10.

Currently due with second and they've averaged him to be around 7.5 - 8lbs.

Just wondering if there tends to be a general trend? How much bigger are second than first? Then are third even bigger...?

9lb 11oz (DS, 40+6) and 8lb 1oz (DD, 40+6).

They are supposed to move towards the mean as you go on... so start big get smaller and vv. Doesn't always hold... as this thread ably demonstrates!

Thank you Bronze - I think it's safe to say my body knows it's limits I would have loved to have had another 1 2 3 to prove the theory further but alas DH says no.
