I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

I have a stupid question. I feel baby's movements really regularly but she's clearly run out of space in there now and sometimes when she kicks it smarts a bit and feels like my stomach is tightening. I will be able to tell when it's contractions and not kicks won't I? Blush

DairyNips · 25/05/2012 23:23

Ooh can I join? I'm 38.5 weeks. Last 2 babies were 2 weeks late and induced. Crossing all my fingers and toes this one makes a move earlier!

karatekimmi · 25/05/2012 23:33

Okay, so things are moving along, sat on my ball bouncing away. I have been relaxing all day after losing the plug this morning, trying to sleep since 8.30 but been having regular pains, however trying to ignore them so no idea how frequent they are. Have finally given up and am trying to time/record them now! I am pretty certain it'll be ages yet, but hopefully by Sunday or Monday maybe? Could still be a couple of weeks though! Waters haven't broken yet.

Not convinced these are contractions, I assumed theyd feel a lot different to what they do, if that makes sense! Maybe it's all just braxton hicks!!

GingerLemonTea · 26/05/2012 06:29

Due today. Having some pressure/ heaviness, but not consistently. Off to a wedding today.

KatyJ26 · 26/05/2012 06:47

Hello ladies, hope you don't mind me joining you- am due tomorrow and heartily fed up now! It makes me feel so much better to read your posts and see that we are all going through the sane thing though. I keep squeezing myself into clothes that don't fit, but mostly pyjamas if at all possible! Keep piping loads too, which I thought might be the start of something, but have been like this fie a few days now Blush good luck everyone, will check in again later

Commutinghell · 26/05/2012 07:33

Hi Katy, I'm due tomorrow too. Fingers crossed for us to give birth on our due date! Grin

LimeFlower · 26/05/2012 07:56

Morning everybody:)

May I join you?Or should I ask June i join you?Due yesterday, not a hoot from a baby about when it might come out,Belly sitting high,no twinges or anything and to my knowledge plug still intact.
Saw mw on Thursday, offered a sweep next week.I'm not fecking bothered anymore.Sat down in the kitchen yesterday wailing like mad.
Getting fed up with waiting and pissed off,I want a May one not a June one. Can't sleep at night, can't find comfy position to lie down or sit down, not to mention elephant ankles and cocktail sausage toes.
Looks like nearly everybody on May thread have had their babies, just a couple of people left.
2 women in my village have given birth, watching both of them wheeling their babies around makes me feel so EnvyEnvyEnvy when the weather is sooo nice.Bet my little bugger will come out when it's pissing rain...
I know it's stupid and I'm unreasonable to expect the baby on its EDD but was really hoping for early/on time delivery to not collide with some nutty family members b-day and to have some peace and quiet from them.
Sick of all small talk of not having the baby yet also the good advice.Feck the feck off with your fecking curries and pineapples, rasberries leaf shite,I'm not having sex or fecking offroading.
I've got no summer clothes to wear as nothing mine fits me so stuck with DH t-shirts and 1 pair of tracksuit bottoms. Thanks DH for your kind offer,I don't need your fecking boxer shorts.
You might say that I'm not happy now.Grrrr, grrrr, grrrrrrrrrrrr AngryAngryAngry

SwivelHips · 26/05/2012 08:02

Morning Ladies, another one still here. Went to bed with straight hair and I've woken up with a bloody curly perm!! Its not even 8am and i'm boiling already. Another evening of tightenings, pressure and tummy cramps. I'm starting to think this will never end .

Commuting - in answer to your question I think you'll definitely know the difference. We've also ran out of room here and the kicks/punches can make me stop in my tracks. I laughed last night when I read you went for a jog...was someone chasing you or was it intended?

Hi Katie/Ginger and other new ladies. Katie i'm also due tomorrow, strange symptoms for days and still nada. Everyday I wake up everything intact. Grrrr. A wedding on your due date Ginger - hats off to you - I can barely make it to the fridge for a lolly.

How is everyone?

Commutinghell · 26/05/2012 08:05

Hi Limeflower, I could almost have written your post. I also have awful swollen feet, desperate to avoid giving birth on arsehole family members birthdays (two of the buggers on 29th, what's the betting baby comes then?!) and two friends have just had their babies, they were due in June to add insult to injury! Angry oh, and I'm also living in DH's clothes, which he has kindly pointed out are now getting a bit small. And to make matters worse, there are a limited number of his tops that I can wear because we support opposing rugby teams (and countries) so I'd rather go butt naked than wear one of his teams shirts. Come on babies, we know you're comfy in there but don't you realise the grief you're causing us? Get out, out, out, get out!!!

SwivelHips · 26/05/2012 08:09

Grin at limeflower, that made me laugh

Commutinghell · 26/05/2012 08:12

Hey Swivel, cross posts. Thanks for your answer on the kicks, I was a bit worried about not noticing until I had to push! Especially as I've heard of a couple of people recently who were in labour for 25 and 40 minutes! Sorry you're still waiting as well Sad. Yeah the jogging was on purpose, slightly hoping to bring on labour and slightly feeling guilty towards my poor dog who thinks I don't love him anymore because I don't run around and play with him. It did no good regarding labour but it was worth it to see the poor old dog come to life and do a few laps of the field in celebration of my half arse attempt at jogging and playing with him! Grin

SwivelHips · 26/05/2012 08:20

I know what you mean. I live quite a bit from the hospital and I kept saying to the consultant what if I dont know if its starting and I dont make it in time, she looked at me like I'm an idiot and said "you will know, and you will make it here" but I'm still uncomfortable about the whole thing.
If you go today/tomorrow then I'm going to borrow a dog and do the same. This could be the new RLT Smile

LimeFlower · 26/05/2012 08:24

Feel your pain commuting.Opposing rugby team???getting too small???cheeky twat of a H,nevermind "D" bet you'd kicked his nuts if only you were able to raise your knee high enough Angry
June ones having their babies in May?How dare they Angry Angry Angry
It's not fair, stand in the queue and await your turn, cheeky cows.
I'm trying to avoid 28th of May
I'm going to eat whole tube of icecream today,if Im greedy I'll make it 2,I'll freeze your arse you little bugger Angry

LimeFlower · 26/05/2012 08:26

Swivel how long have you got to the hospital?Mine one is 40-50 mins away (depends on the traffic and bloody swing bridge)

SwivelHips · 26/05/2012 08:30

I reckon we could do it in 45 mins after 8 at night, any other time about 1.5 hrs. DH is a shit driver though, its amazing my waters haven't burst yet being in the car with him.

Commutinghell · 26/05/2012 08:31

Don't worry limeflower, DH did cop it, I still cop a mean punch, probably even better with all this weight behind me! So, freezing it out... Please let me know if this works, any excuse to scoff ice cream sounds wonderful. Swivel, I will let you know if the jog did anything but currently not hopeful, no sign at all. I'm glad I'm not the only one worried about realising I'm in labour and getting to hospital! We live quite a way away too, and I met someone the other day whose mother gave birth to him in this very room I'm slumped in now because he came a bit quick! Aaargh!

LimeFlower · 26/05/2012 08:43

commutingI don't know whether ice cream works, seems to be much better offer than curry,no need for excuse. As for the size of my backside-I don't care anymore.
I've got a vision of giving birth in our own bath tube.
2 years ago I had a mc,didn't know what to do so called the labour ward of the hospital to ask for advice.Heard "sorry dear,we are just in a middle of handover'give us a call in half an hour"
How the hell are you still able to jog?Bet your DH keeps safe distance from you...

Swivel I'm afraid that when the time comes my DH will panic more than me.He's a good driver but this might change due to circumstances.I tried to explain to him that i'm not going to have a baby straight away when contractions start

SilverSage · 26/05/2012 10:43

Morning ladies.

Since yesterday afternoon I've been having crazy braxton hicks (which I've had before), with lower back ache and period pain type twinges (which I haven't). Also, my boobs have started feeling heavy and tender again in the last few days, like they did in the first trimester. Can't decide if it's a sign of something starting, or just the raspberry leaf tea kicking in. I haven't had a show (that I've seen), and bump hasn't dropped so much as a millimeter since last antenatal appointment, when mw said the head was still free. So it's prob just the RLT

MummyPigandDaddyPig · 26/05/2012 10:46

Had a lady ask me yesterday if I had had the baby yet....Felt like having a right rant at her starting with ''DO YOU THINK THIS IS WHAT I LOOK LIKE NORMALLY WITH THIS HUGE BUMP???? NO baby is still in there silly cow!!!'' Of course I just smiled sweetly and said no still here.....Grrrrr!!

sunnybobs · 26/05/2012 11:45

I've not been on here for days but due today and nada nothing nothing! Argh yes I know it's unreasonable to expect baby on due date but I really wanted a slightly early baby and there's not even a vague twinge occurring Angry come on baby come and enjoy the sunshine! Keep manically dog walking & bouncing on ball (to mystification of dog & toddler!) but am feeling resigned to induction like last time Sad and I do wanted my home water birth attempt! (even tho I did always feel I was going to end up in hospital shouting give me the drugs!) perhaps I should just inflate pool, fill with cold water & laze in instead Grin

Commutinghell · 26/05/2012 17:48

Sounds promising silver! Everyone else, I feel your pain! Can confirm walking doesn't help. I walked from 11am until 5pm with 2 breaks. Up hill, down hill, on the flat, on the curb... Nothing. Fed up of trying so maybe pizza, pub and a cold bath will do the trick seeing as none of those are supposed to help!

SwivelHips · 26/05/2012 19:41

Commuting you're a bloody athlete, now if there was a heavily pregnant olympic games.....

DH went to pub (eek) but is coming home early. Picking him up in my pjs and going to get a takeaway curry. I can only stomach a Korma so bloody pointless I think. I'm now v fed up. Too hot. I am miserable. Very grumpy. Baby is punching me, dont blame him/her so would I, I'm annoying myself tonight.
Hoping others are seeing more action than me Smile (oh not that kind of action I meant birthing action of course)

Kveta · 26/05/2012 20:04

silver my boobs are sore today, and keep getting stabbing pains in cervix, which I'm putting down to enormo-baby headbutting me every which way (and her big brother headbutting her, making her wriggle. sigh, they are fighting already...)

has anyone else been trying nipple stimulation and accupressure? I tried for about 10 minutes this morning after a hellish long night without sleep, but know it's basically meaningless!!

38+4 today, 9 days until due date, 16 until induction. not that I'm counting...

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 26/05/2012 20:18

Hey ladies Smile. Well I'm still here and still fat. 38 weeks tomoro and that's it I've had enough! At my mums in another county so he can stay put till tomoro afternoon but then that's it-he's getting his marching orders Grin!

Have promised DH some sex tomorrow evening in the hope of moving baby along, he's jumping on (pun intended Grin) the idea seeing as hes been on a sex ban for 6 weeks now!

Saw mw yesterday and surprisingly for DC4 he's now 3/5th engaged, and when I was in hospital with irregular contractions on Tuesday he was 2/5th engages and cervix was 50% effaced and 1-2 cm dilated so fingers crossed itll all kick off soon.

Well thats another day down. Now at 40+3 with little activity to report. Got a sweep booked in on Thursday as they can't do Wednesday. So sick and tired of this. Gah. Tried everything so far and nothing is working. I give up. Lots of people saying my bump has clearly dropped today though.
