I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

Hi ladies I'm going to drop out of the thread - went for routine appt today and had high BP and protein in urine so been diagnosed with mild pre eclampsia Sad - baby scheduled to come out at 37 weeks.

I'll be watching to see when you all have yours though and hope it's soon for most of you and that babies are healthy Smile

Morning all

Ah poo, still pregnant this morning. The tightenings tailed off to nothing. Slept so/so.

Emily - had more 'any baby movements' last night. How can people think sending such messages are constructive?? Even my cousin is at it!!!!!

Usedtobethin- I've had some sharpish pains down there before, think prob baby bobbing against cervix, but who knows?!

Really don't fancy doing anything at all today, but I know sitting around baby waiting isn't going to be constructive. But meeting with any mummy friends is just going to result in chatting about babies and why this one isn't out. Sniff sniff.

used2bthin · 07/06/2012 09:13

Morning all. I look so rough today just cannot be bothered. Am off out for a cup of tea then taking DD to a children's centre thing if she's up for it folllowed by the mw appointment at 4. So hopefully won't have time to dwell. But my face is enormous! I look really really puffy on it its horrible, if it wasn't for DD I would stay in I think and hide.

If this mw says no today I may cry! Am going to stress the fact that I am pretty sure my due date was tues (got positive pregnancy test five days before period due by their dates and mostly have a 21 day cycle) and also that I am now getting really obsessed with DD's birth and her shoulders being large etc.

Poor all of us! Hope the day gets better!

rrrayray · 07/06/2012 10:27

Have decided to drag my grumpy
Ass to toys r us to buy DD a gift from
The baby..... Hopefully this will be the missing key and hurry him along.

wishful thinking

EmilyD2012 · 07/06/2012 10:34

Morning all,

Urgh, I feel really sorry for us! rrrayray - feeling your pain with the phone calls. I actually turned my phone on silent last night to give myself a break from the constant questions, only for my mum to call my partner to check if I was in labour! Argh! I know they mean well but what part of "I'll tell you when anything happens" do people not understand?!

Used2b - crossing my fingers for your appt today and hoping you feel a bit better as the day goes on. Am also feeling bored and fed up today. Keep thinking that I'm wasting my maternity leave just sat here on me tod, but at the same time there's no way I'd last a day at work!

Sending positive thoughts to everyone - fingers crossed!

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 07/06/2012 11:36

Morning all.

ginger and lime are both MIA, here's hoping we have some baby news soon Grin.

Used got my fingers crossed for your appointment later, if you get it let me know what you said to your MW so I can use the same technique tomorrow Grin.

I could do with going into labour today, the DC's are DOING MY HEAD IN!!!!! I've threatened the childrens home already!! I am not looking forward to the summer hols, especially if we don't get decent weather, all this rain is sending them and me crazy!

EmilyD2012 · 07/06/2012 12:05

BlueAndRed that just cracked me up!! Don't know how you're coping with little ones too, I'm struggling enough to stay upbeat and this is my first!

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 07/06/2012 12:26

TBH Labour would be a welcome rest from this lot! Why oh why did I think DC4 would be a good idea Hmm Grin.

DC3 is going for his nap in 5 mins, then hopefully peace will descend, DC's 1 + 2 can be occupied with tele for an hour or two whilst he sleeps. ITs DC3 thats making the most noise/being the biggest pain, he's 2 and at that age Hmm.

EmilyD2012 · 07/06/2012 12:30

Omg, you're a hero! Feel terrible moaning now I know what you're having to contend with!! Blush

McKayz · 07/06/2012 12:40

Blue I think that labour would be nice rest from these 2. They keep fighting today.

One of the mums from school has just had her baby and she says that it's so much easier with a newborn and older DCs than it is being pregnant with the older ones.

used2bthin · 07/06/2012 12:43

Thanks emily and blue yes will let you know what works! I am thinking tears are always a good tactic and will be genuine if she declines!

Feel for you with three at home, my one is tiring me out today although currently she is sitting with a magazine colouring in so can't moan too much. Am same about the summer, our garden is so rubbish and if the weather is bad its hard finding stuff to do.

Emily I remember feeling my mat leave was wasted first time round too , I find with dd on school days at least it gets me up and out the house early and is less depressing than it was waiting for her in some ways plus I have plenty of friends who aren't working due to having young children which I didn't first time round.

rrrayray OMG I haven't got DD a present from the baby!! I completely forgot! have been caguely talking about it for ages not sure when I thought I would actually do it!Maybe thats the missing link for me too! Now what to get!

used2bthin · 07/06/2012 12:45

PS more upset tummy and niggley pains here-I am determined I WILL NOT GET EXCITED as it never comes to anything ever! So going to carry on as normal and take DD out to the childrens centre thing now.

SESthebrave · 07/06/2012 12:55

Hello all! Not much to report here. Just repacjed my hospital bags and been arranging childcare & dog care assuming I'm induced tomorrow.

commuting is MIA too. Let's hope at least one of them's had a baby by now!

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 07/06/2012 13:03

Don't be daft emily we all have the right to moan!

Mckayz I can actually see it being easier with a newborn and older DC's too, at least I'll be able to get up off the sofa to break up the fights Hmm.

used our garden is actually okay, but when its raining it gets boggy and I can't be doing with them trailing muddy footprints in and out.

I have taken them all out this morning to town to get DH a birthday present, so at least they had some fresh air.

DairyNips · 07/06/2012 13:18

Seen midwife, baby has turned back to back as I suspectedAngry The other two did exactly the same at the last minute. Not fair! I will have to spend all my time leaning forwards and crawling around now to try and turn him. I managed to turn ds2 that way so I hope it works. Not what I fancy doing at all! Midwife said bump seems lower as I'm measuring no bigger than last time so that's a good sign.

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 07/06/2012 13:40

Oh Dairy Sad , have you got a birthing ball you can lean over?

OP posts:
Lucietea · 07/06/2012 13:48

Had my sweep - ii'm 41 weeks today but the midwife said I wasn't dilated at all.vshe said I was soft though which means I'm ready but baby not ready. So does that mean she did a sweep or not? If they only get the the entrance and not 'inside' does it still have any impact on kick starting proceedings? I was rather hoping something would come of this sweep. I'm booked for induction on Tuesday. Feeling a bit low and disappointed.

EmilyD2012 · 07/06/2012 14:57

Aww Dairy :( Mine is b2b too, although I've had mixed reports on whether getting on all fours works or not...going to keep trying though! He's due tomorrow but I've got no twinges at all, so have a feeling I'll still be here for a while.

Sorry to hear you're feeling low Lucietea. My sweep isn't until Tuesday so I'm not sure what it means if she only got the entrance - fingers crossed things will start moving soon, you're very nearly there now

DairyNips · 07/06/2012 15:50

Yeah I have a birthing ball, been sitting on it the past few days so will have to get leaning over it today..

lucie. Sorry you're feeling low. Not sure if they did do a sweep but hopefully whatever they managed has disturbed something and will have an effect.

rrrayray · 07/06/2012 16:10

Lucie- from my understanding if she could only feel the cervix and not get into it, then I think it's highly unlikely she swept. From
The 2 sweeps I've had theres also a really obvious sweeping circular movement too. Don't be disheartened the fact it's soft is a really good sign.

Usedtobethin - DD is a Girly girl so I've got her a baby boy doll and a pram. I think she will love it as is always saying we are both mummies.

I have been leaking mucus plug / brown/ pink ish Goo all day. Also have done several number twos. Starting to feel a bit crampy...... Refusing to get hopes up
Though, never helps!

jessebuni · 07/06/2012 16:14

Hello everyone! So glad there are some people out there feeling like I do right now! I'm 39+1 and had a sweep yesterday. Unfortunately it did nothing so far not even a twinge! I have another booked next week so fingers crossed better luck next time. I'm 1-2cm already but apparently the cervix is still thick any advice on thinning it???

jessebuni · 07/06/2012 16:17

Lucietea - if you weren't dilated they wouldn't have been able to do a sweep but they would have done a "cervical massage" type thing to help encourage it to start dilating. fingers crossed even if it doesn't kick off labour it will help your cervix start to dilate which is all something in the right direction!
