I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

Today is the day I started with contractions with DD (39+2). I also thought things were starting yesterday, in fact this whole last week I have been limited by what must be BH, sometimes just tightening but also some really painful. And then dull crampy pains, ugh. If I'm not going into labour I would at leastlike to not be in pain and unable to move around.

Went for a 3 mile walk yesterday-the pain was awful on way back, and I kept feeling like stuff was leaking out of me I just feel vile.

Morning - just checking in with the usual nothing, nada, zilch...

Hello Rachel - glad you found us! Welcome as well to smallwonder and rrrayray. Please feel free to update today's list with your stats.

Lime - you'll become nocturnal at that rate. Probably good preparation for when baby does arrive!

weezie & commuting - good luck with the sweeps. I was glad DH wasn't there for mine yesterday. At least it didn't last long. Doesn't seem to have done much though.

I feel like staying in bed today but DS calls - apparently "it's wake up time mummy!" He and DH are having breakfast so I should go & join them. Also going to a Jubilee party this afternoon. Not looking forward to having to be sociable and everyone's "helpful" comments...

SESthebrave · 03/06/2012 09:16

Oh and still no news from Swivel so hopefully that's good news!

used2bthin · 03/06/2012 09:24

Argh SES I feel the same.Today we are off to a village jubilee thing (if its not cancelled with this weather) then tomorrow and tues will be with DH's family who will have been desperate to meet the baby by now. I just am at the stage where any plans stress me out-I want to just not plan anything.

used2bthin · 03/06/2012 09:25

Meant to add, my sickness is back, threw up twice yesterday and once day before but am also starving all the time and looking massive.

Kveta · 03/06/2012 09:59

I am getting tempted to try the accupressure thing, by sticking clothes pegs all over my body at random and hoping some of them do the trick.

have convinced DH to take his father and son out for the day, so am hoping for a bit of peace and quiet to do very little. think I'm going to have a very long shower/bath with a book, and take it from there. this is the first day I'll have had on my own in the house since we moved in last May!

used I have been very sick every morning for the past week or so, like morning sickness returning. and some more throwing up scattered about the day every time I get hungry (am feeling nauseous just now actually, since breakfast was ooh, 3.5 hours ago, \i need to root out a snack!). I've been getting very shaky if I don't eat when hungry too, nearly passed out at lunch time the other day, I was so starving.

hope we get some babies arriving on here soon, come on little ones, it's the summer, come and see the lovely weather! shhh, they don't know it's the UK and therefore chucking it down

used2bthin · 03/06/2012 10:07

Its rubbish isn't it, must be the hormones again, I do feel sort of woozey with them as if I am not quite with it! Am also far worse if I am hungry or leave it too long between snacks!

definately get DH to take them out, bet there is some undercover stuff going on, at least there should be various events with the jubilee..hope you manage to get some peace and quiet.

Just a quick update: Felix was born last night :-). Started induction (pessary) at 2300 hrs the night before, dropped my plan of no epidural by 0830, took ages to dilate as it was ok when on drugs (syncotin) but body not producing its own contractions. Felt like we used almost every machine in the hospital and Felix managed to avoid a c section by the skin of his teeth - got to 10 cm in last 15 mins before would have had to take the surgical route. Ventouse, but well. Had the most amazing team helping us :). He is adorable :)

SESthebrave · 03/06/2012 11:42

Congratulations fretfree :)
Yay for a good team and an adorable Felix :)

Commutinghell · 03/06/2012 11:51

Ah congratulations Fret Grin
My sweep was a no-go. She could feel the cervix and get a fingertip in but nowhere near enough to do a sweep. She's going to try again on Tuesday but looks like I will be induced on Friday Sad

Weezie85 · 03/06/2012 11:57

Damn post vanished. Well I am having my waters broken in an hour as baby had a fast heartbeat.

SESthebrave · 03/06/2012 12:09

Oh good luck weezie. Hope all goes smoothly and look forward to your update.

Commutinghell · 03/06/2012 12:13

Good luck Weezie

SESthebrave · 03/06/2012 12:15

Commuting - seems like you and I are practically sweep & induction buddies!

LimeFlower · 03/06/2012 12:20

Huge congrats fret on the birth of your son:) Felix is fantastic name meaning "lucky"-your wee one is very lucky indeed:)

Swivel hope you're cuddling your wee one as well

Kveta good luck with the pegs I'm planning to go for a long walk in the afternoon(a few miles)

SES just grit your teeth

that's bummer commuting

good luck weezie, hope you'll have baby in your arms soon.

usedto join the club, had an email from FIL saying he's going to come later in the afternoon.Apparently his very only her family orientated wife is not coming with him.

Had my breakfast and no moves from the baby yet, sitting here freaking out.Feel like crying again, frutration and worry.Roll on fucking Wednesday,to hell with all this bloody jubilee!

Kveta · 03/06/2012 12:27

congratulations fret and good luck weezie!

Lime I just sat at the kitchen table and bump was obviously pressing on it too much, so baby gave me some hefty kicks - maybe try prodding your bump hard a few times and see if yours responds?

it is absolutely shedding it down here, so I am watching some royal family documentary on channel 5 which is thrilling... may go for a wee walkie later, can't decide.

DairyNips · 03/06/2012 12:32

Massive congratulations fretGrin

LimeFlower · 03/06/2012 12:50

Thanks,Kveta, the baby has moved a bit.Not a lot but better that then nothing.
FIL's been and gone, drank some coffee, never even sat down.10 minutes at most.Truly family man snigger."Any news?",all this waiting.Got pissed off, said "sorry to disappoint you" and left.

Will get dressed, waddle to the shop and then off for my few miles work.

LimeFlower · 03/06/2012 12:55

Walk not work.

Just got a wallop,what a relief:)

Have a nice day everybody, will check in the evening

keeping fingers crossed weezie and Swivel also the other ones for a quick action:)

BlueAndRedAndWhite · 03/06/2012 12:56

Congratulations fret Grin hope you are enjoying snuggles with your shiny new baby!

Good luck weezie will be checking in regularly fr updates Smile.

Nothing to report here yet. Looks like my plan to have him today has gone straight out the bloody window, as despite a touch of the squits I have nothing-and I've ha them the last few days Confused.

BlueAndRedAndWhite · 03/06/2012 12:59

Oh and Sad for you commuting ,how disheartening for the sweep not happening.

SESthebrave · 03/06/2012 13:06

Well am encouraged by the fact that I think I've just lost a bit of my mucous plug. Not loads but definitely a blob if thick snot like mucous. (Hope you're not all having lunch!)

Now to get out of my PJs and ready for the party. Must try and be sociable....must try and be sociable.....must try and be sociable....

BlueAndRedAndWhite · 03/06/2012 13:25

SES and repeat ad infinitum??

Kveta · 03/06/2012 14:05
:o

I am bored now, so googled natural ways to induce labour :o apparently galloping is one of them! how much of a tit would you feel doing this...

Commutinghell · 03/06/2012 14:20

Oh. So the midwife said she couldn't reach to do a sweep, just managed to get a fingertip in. And now there's dark brown grot coming out of me, looks like old blood. I know, I'm so attractive. The idea of bringing anything on with sex tonight just went out of the window. Anybody got any ideas what that's all about? Not my lack of action in the sack, I mean all the scrummy grot.
