I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

Oh yes, fingers crossed for Swivel :)

Still feeling mightily pissed off but trying to distract myself with The Voice. It's rubbish though!

Still thinking of all you overdue ladies and hoping it's not too long now. I had no show and my cervix was posterior even when labour started - still only took 3 hours til I got my girl though, so try not to be too despondent - hoping to give you a glimmer of hope Smile

GingerLemonTea · 02/06/2012 19:54

Yay Katy! That's giving me hope!

SESthebrave · 02/06/2012 19:57

Absolutely Katy - thank you that's more than a glimmer of hope :)

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 20:06

Commuting how the heck did you manage to book a sweep on Sunday?
I didn't put fret on list as she was going to check into the hospital last night.Hope they kept her and things got going.Fingers crossed for all those MIA.

Spent all day in bed today. Can't be bothered to do anything.Just making the dinner.
Bloody constipation is back, stuffed myself with fruit today and still nothing, grrr.
Grrring a lot, everything either pisses me off or makes me sad/cry.Bloody hormones, grrr

BlueAndRedAndWhite · 02/06/2012 20:32

As I said a few days ago, being favourable makes no difference either-I have been favourable for two weeks!

Although I would like to report possibly mild contractions ( could be confused with bh though Confused) which quite frankly is typical cos I told dh to have a few beers while watching the footy Hmm-we do have another driver in the house so all is good!

Commutinghell · 02/06/2012 21:00

Exciting times blueandred, fingers crossed for you. Katy, thanks for the glimmer of hope! Lime, I didn't ask for a sweep on Sunday, they wanted to do it when I was 41 weeks. They midwife is coming to the house to do it but not sure what time so I have to be under house arrest all day Sad

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 21:06

well, BlueAndRed that might be sod's law working in your favour-as soon as nominated driver is not fit to drive there you go.Thank goodness you have the back up.

Commuting that is nice of her to come but a phone call announcing the visit would be higly apprecciated.

Off to wash the dishes, might go for a late walk as there should be low chance of meeting anybody with some stupid questions (unless sod's law rules apply in this cae)

RachelWalsh · 02/06/2012 22:34

Ok, hello chaps! 38+1 here and directed over by SES from the voice telly thread. Feeling a bit sore and twingey down low in my bump. Have had tightenings all day and just been generally feeling v uncomfortable and terribly grumpy (just ask my husband!)...

Could this be it? Ds1 induced so never done labour starting naturally before.

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 23:37

Might be something, might be nothing, you never know.
I think there's full moon either tomorrow or on Monday.

Commutinghell · 02/06/2012 23:40

Ooh fingers crossed for you Rachel. And thanks for mentioning the full moon Lime, everyone says more babies are born on a full moon! Fingers crossed for us all Grin

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 23:42

commuting just had a look at May thread-not so many babies born at full moon, but loads of them exactly a week after. Not convinced.

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 23:46

And now i'm thinking-ok,so you'll go in labour over the next 3 days-and there's barely anybody there due to jubilee...
I read too much rubbish on the internet-stuff about placenta failing, being overdue, dry flaking babies with lower birthweight and so on...

Poor DH went to bed, mentally exhausted-we hardly spoke today :(

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 23:46

there=hospital

Commutinghell · 02/06/2012 23:51

I know the feeling lime. I've been grumpy today because I've convinced myself something is going to go wrong now. Dreading the sweep tomorrow, sure they're going to say that I'm miles off, I've never had any sort of signs. Not sure whether to try acupuncture next week or whether it's nonsense. I'm going to stop moaning now, I think we are a bad influence on each other tonight lime! I might try yet again to get some sleep. So jealous of people who wake up to find they're in labour! Perhaps it's our turn tonight. Smile

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 23:58

I've been grumpy since my EDD,come on,baby, what's keeping you,you little bugger?
I just feel so sorry for DH,he's having shite time right now-doesn't know whether will be woken up in the middle of the night or not,I'm grumpy like hell and looks like his beloved dog is on his last legs.

GingerLemonTea · 03/06/2012 05:08

Morning all. Been awake since 4am. Was quite disappointed yesterday that nothing happened. Had a few twinges & was hopeful.

Considering whether to go for reflexology again today. Felt more twinges since I had it on Friday, but it's £35 & hasn't kicked off labour.

Smallwonder · 03/06/2012 05:58

Hello ladies,
I was glad to see another poster feeling about as jovial as me. Can I join the club for a few days? I'll be sectioned this week at 38+, it's my fourth, have had cramping and vomiting on and off for days and am tired, moody, grumpy and probably a real pain in the arse to live with. Where did all the nesting instinct go? My idea of nesting right now would appear to be plumping up pillows and flaking out with hot water bottle.
Been awake for hours again Angry
Sending positive vibes from somewhere...

Kveta · 03/06/2012 06:35

Still here, still having niggly cramps. Grr. :o at being sectioned small I feel like I am going mad enough for that sometimes.

Today my grandfather would have been 101 so my mum is desperate for his great grandchild to arrive to mark the occasion. As all her babies and all my aunts babies were born before 40 weeks, sjednal can't understand why mine are so awkward :o. Nor can I tbh. 39+5 today, no sign of sprog.

And why has they weather gone so shite? Was hoping to send DH out with DS for the day, but all local attractions are outdoors, so looks like my quiet day doing sod all will ne disrupted by presence of toddler and FIL.

Apologies for typos BTW, am on phone which randomly autocorrects to 2 different languages and won't let me edit once it has decided. Hmm

Weezie85 · 03/06/2012 07:30

Well my second sweep is this morning at 9.30am. Crossing all fingers and toes that this one will kick it all off so I don't have to be induced. Oh well. At least MIL is leaving today.

BlueAndRedAndWhite · 03/06/2012 07:31

Still here, mild contractions faded to nothing again Angry which is the third time that's happened!

Today my dh will mostly be laying the new tile floor in our kitchen, so I'm staying out the way. With mil and fil here luckily I won't have to worry about the older dc's.

I need to go for a walk or something I think. When I'm upright my bump goes hard and the bh start.

mrsshears · 03/06/2012 08:02

Morning ladies!
Let's hope today could be the day for some of us
Good luck with the sweep weezie,i had one last week and stupidly got my hopes up as after my last one with dd2 i was in labour within hours.
blue I've had the same it's so deflating isnt it? i had the strongest ones ever on friday and was convinced they would go somewhere but no,yet again they didnt.

It was dd2's birthday yesterday so i was quite glad to avoid that date but as from today it's go go go!
I was up in the night again for 4 loo trips,2 dd2 trips (she had some odd sleepwalking episode and an accident all over her bedroom floor) and once with stomach cramps so i guess i will be back in bed later.

rrrayray · 03/06/2012 08:03

May I join the thread? Due 13th June but dd had arrived by this gestation last time
And been told from word go that would do the same this time so feel over Due!

Redblueandwhite - I've had the same as you with the BH in the evening, strong
And then when I lie down in bed all dies down. Let's hope they are doing something for when the real
Deal
Arrives.

Commutinghell · 03/06/2012 08:05

Sorry to hear nobody has unexpectedly produced offspring overnight. Sweep for me today. I haven't heard many tales of them working so not overly hopeful. My DH was asking if he should come home from work to be here when the midwife shows up, no real need for him to come and watch her furtling around in my fanjo is there?

RachelWalsh · 03/06/2012 08:58

Still here, still very much pregnant! All seemed quite hopeful then all faded away! Tricksy body! Ah well, house is a riot - perhaps some intense housework will get things going? No nesting instinct kicking in unfortunately, just a general need to not love in squalor and have clean pants to wear...

Happy Sunday weebles x
