I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

SES what a cow! SIL not you!
PIL sent me an email earlier this week that "they (him and his wife)are sure that is not long now and everything will go smoothly" ooo eeeer,I don't think being induced is the indication of things going smoothly. They don't know I'm going to be induced -ask DH not to tell them-as I said to DH if i see them uninvited in the hospital i'll FUCKIN FREAK OUT!They just treat us as 2nd class family and SMIL is very pushy to get her own way.
Weezie if the cervix is hard and closed no amount of sweeps will help.
Read about the induction on NHS website and a little bit scared-all the side effects!

Commutinghell · 01/06/2012 21:34

I don't feel pregnant anymore, and don't feel like there's going to be a baby. I still feel it moving but the anticipation of birth is gone, I don't feel like it's ever going to happen. I will be induced a week today if I don't have her naturally by then but even that doesn't seem real. Is anyone else feeling like this? I'm worried I'm subconsciously preparing to lose the baby Sad

Weezie85 · 01/06/2012 21:43

I know. I have freaked myself out by printing out the babycentre bits about induction. I am just feeling its going to happen so I might as well be prepared.
Commuting I just keep feeling like their isn't going to be a baby. Also feel a failure.

SESthebrave · 01/06/2012 21:44

Oh Commuting - I think that's quite normal. We get fixed in when these babies are going to appear and when they don't, our minds have to come up with a (ir)rational reason. We've not really entertained the prospect if induction or going overdue as it wasn't our plan.

Lime - I don't think SIL meant to be a cow, she just has no idea! I'll remind her in a few years when she is pg and overdue!

SESthebrave · 01/06/2012 21:46

Sorry Weezie , didn't mean to ignore you!
I almost feel like we need a very un-MNetty group hug this evening!

Commutinghell · 01/06/2012 21:47

Thanks both. Fed up now, and not even any twinges or braxton hicks Sad

Weezie85 · 01/06/2012 21:47

Stupid phone sent before I was done. Feel like my body is rubbish by not going into labour by itself.

Weezie85 · 01/06/2012 21:48

I think thats a good idea ses. Big group hug for all.

used2bthin · 01/06/2012 21:55

Thanks blueandred that is reassuring. Keep feeling the baby by my ribs and thinking argh the head is engaged how is it THAT big!

Lime poor you that is a long way to go if they end up not doing it, how frustrating!

Am also under pressure as SIL is visiting mon and tue and we'd said ages ago bet there'll be a baby by then! I have said I will do my best but its not looking likely.

used2bthin · 01/06/2012 21:58

meant to say, I didnt get painfulBH last time either and this time have had painful contractions stopping and starting its very annoying as it gets my hopes up as well as being painful and keeping me awake.

LimeFlower · 01/06/2012 22:28

Commuting don't say that-that's the thing that freaks me out-to get so far and then...shudder touch the wood
SES i think we're just overreacting a bit but on the other side it's not nice to hear something like that, makes you feel like a complete failure. We've got no influence over our bodies.
Knowing sod's law she'll be bang on EDD or even earlier...
Weezie stay strong

(((((((((((hug)))))))))))) to all of you

LimeFlower · 01/06/2012 22:33

used2be any chance to borrow the kiddie from somebody else?you know, when they come "sorry, didn't want to disappoint you, hold this one for the moment"

used2bthin · 01/06/2012 23:17

Ha ha Limeflower actually yes it would be easy as there were so many of my group of friends having babies and bar one who is due Nov I am the last! I was the last due btw so fair enough but only by days in some cases.

Good plan or I can get DD to bring her baby out-the other morning she said "had baby yet?" to me when I got up and when I said not yet she shoved one of her dolls at me and said ere ya go!

luckynumber11 · 02/06/2012 00:55

Hi everyone - just to say I'm still thinking of you all (esp fret who has the same edd as mine was), and I'm crossing my fingers that those of you with inductions booked will get moving just in time. I thoisught all hope was lost and then i just made it by hours, so you never know. fret if u are in hospital tonight, good luck with it all.
(also we settled on a name for dd today - she is Tessa Elisabeth).
Good luck everyone.

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 08:30

Morning :)
Anybody up yet?

lucky nice names, hope you're recovering well

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 08:35

fret hope you're in action :o

Weezie85 · 02/06/2012 08:43

I am up and still with bump. Oh well. May murder mil this morning. First question was no baby then. She is staying at the house not a hotel so would of noticed last night. Gah.

SESthebrave · 02/06/2012 08:45

Morning Lime! I've been up since 6.10 (thanks DS!)

Lucky - thanks for coming back! I also live those names. Tess has always been one of my top girl names but can't / won't use it as its MIL's NN!

No signs of anything this morning. Off to the hospital in an hour to sit and wait...

SESthebrave · 02/06/2012 08:47

Morning Weezie - Grr at your MIL! What a clever observation Hmm & Angry

GingerLemonTea · 02/06/2012 08:48

Still here, nothing happening. Might go for long walk today.

Kveta · 02/06/2012 08:59

I think it's perfectly acceptable to smack anyone who asks if you have had the baby yet. Especially if they are close enough to you that you will be calling them to let them know baby has arrived.

I am getting fb harrassment now from friends. Have to point out that I am likely to let them know when baby gets here as am not good at keeping secrets. Arseholes.

More niggly contractions this morning, annoying.

SilverSage · 02/06/2012 08:59

I've been up since 7, but awake since 4. Feel like death today

LimeFlower · 02/06/2012 09:33

SES hope you won't be there too long
Weezie whack her over the head

This is ridiculous.I don't want to go for a walk to avoid small talk and clever questions like Weezie had, don't want to look at my mobile, don't want to answer housephone when it rings, afraid to open the door when i hear knocking, don't want to look at mail-start to feel like bloody i don't know what-paranoid?

BlueAndRedAndWhite · 02/06/2012 09:55

What is it with the no baby yet thing? I have a huuuge bump-you'll know when I've had it-I'll shrink in size massively.

Well feeling pretty on edge and emotional today. Didnt sleep too well either. MIL and FIL arrive in a couple of hours so that'll be some welcome relief. Other DC's have been watchin tele all morning bad mummy.

Commutinghell · 02/06/2012 10:38

Morning all. Has anyone else got to the point where they don't want to tell people when the baby does turn up? The desire to go and hide for a few weeks incommunicado is almost overwhelming. And when I reemerge, I can explain that I did it for overdue mothers everywhere so that next time you might all FUCK OFF!!! Angry
