I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

Bit of an update: Waters broke about 45 minutes ago while I was asleep in bed! Now in the bath having regular(ish) contractions. Will be phoning midwife shortly, maybe it will be May after all! Obviously Mumsnet comes first ;-)

PS. MrILoveChips taking dictation, netbook isn't waterproof...

Commutinghell · 30/05/2012 00:32

fretfree · 30/05/2012 03:46

ilovechips · 30/05/2012 05:08

(MrILoveChips here again) (As yet unnamed) baby girl born in the pool at 3:30am, less than 90 minutes after arriving. 8lb 6oz. Mum and baby both doing well :)

surfmama · 30/05/2012 05:57

congratulations ilovechips family that is quite something, hope my story is similar one day soon!

KatyJ26 · 30/05/2012 06:16

Hooray- congratulations! So pleased for the Ilovechips family. Hope it went as well as these things can! I am not Envy honest as I wake up having not a hint of a twinge! Will post properly later, glad at least one of us has popped!

SESthebrave · 30/05/2012 07:18

Yay!! Congratulations to the Chips family :)
A May baby!!!

I did start to get a few twinges yesterday afternoon - period pain like feelings and a feeling of not being quite right plus (tmi!) my bowels were working overtime!
However nothing further last night, except for a dream that I was in early stages of labour Hmm

iowmum88 · 30/05/2012 07:22

Congratulations mr & mrs ilovechips!!!!
Due today! Have a sweep this morning so will let u know how that goes, have my fingers crossed it works!!

Weezie85 · 30/05/2012 07:24

Congrats on the baby.
I am now at 41 weeks today. Oh well. No twinges at all, must try and jump the DH although not feeling in the mood at all. Haha, I was really hoping that the twinges earlier in the week would actually progress to something, but now I am getting nothing.

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 30/05/2012 07:25

Yay congrats to the ilovechips family on the arrival of baby chips.

Is it my turn yet?? Grin

Well I can report despite some strong Braxton hicks, jumping my dh appears to have done nothing Sad.

So what's the next plan?

SwivelHips · 30/05/2012 07:41

Woop Woop congratulations ilovechips family. Gutted I slept through a live birth thread :(

I feel inspired....

Loads of aches and pains in the night but this morning I feel bloody great again.

Ah but did you have your legs in the air afterwards Blue? Otherwise you need to do it again.
Any joy with the pegs ladies?

SilverSage · 30/05/2012 09:16

Ah, congratulations Mr & Mrs Chips. What lovely news to wake up to. At least someone's seeing some birthing action!

LimeFlower · 30/05/2012 09:47

Morning everybody :)

ooooh,a May baby!congrats Mrs&Mrilovechips so much for a labour warning,eh?

BlueAndRed probably like anybody else-sit and wait Hmm

lucky hope this little stubborn bugger of your is going to come out today-if not good luck with the induction tomorrow.

fret i think you're most overdue here along with lucky.get some legal action against your lodger-definitely overstaying his/her welcome

iowmum good luck with the sweep

SES is that your body trying to tell you something?

Will have to drag myself to the kitchen to wash last night's dinner dishes. Was hoping for a quiet day, discussed the logistics for tomorrow with DH for mw appointment.
Sitting in bed just now with the laptop feeling a bit like before period (strange i still remember how it feels).
Now wondering whether it means something or nothing and the dilemma-make the dinner or not to bother.
Sod's law-planned to send DH on Thursday to Debenhams to get some stuff on the offer as I was waiting for it and have some vouchers to spend.Grrrrr, make up your mind you little bugger!

fretfree · 30/05/2012 10:03

Huge congrats ilovechips - what lovely news.

Limeflower - good suggestion re eviction, just not sure where to find a specialist :). Good that it sounds like you have signs - and evoking sod's law may be a clever tactic....

I'm getting a little bit worried that I'm now feeling very blah about the whole baby arriving thing. I was really excited up until a week ago, but now seem to have drifted into the doldrums / feeling annoyed that this time is being wasted (eg can't go out for a run or out hiking in the mountains) and I am spending time trying to think up things to do to fill the time that doesn't cost huge amounts of money :(. Also, and I know this sounds weird, but I don't really feel pregnant any more (he's still moving etc, so no concerns on the health front) - it's all making me feel quite guilty, especially when everyone else seems to be much more excited than me (and my replies back to emails are getting much less diplomatic) :(

used2bthin · 30/05/2012 10:22

Ah congratulations ilovechips!

SES I had a dream about holding my baby last night, lets hope we are both having premonitions of impending labour!

Also had sex last night, didn't know about putting my legs up! Will make DH's day that we have to try again!

fretfree I am very similar and remember at this late stage with DD completely being anti a baby and thinking I just wanted my old life back! I also vividly remember as they told me to push with DD thinking no I'm not ready for a baby! I put it down to hormones don't feel guilty!

LimeFlower · 30/05/2012 10:28

fret I was very excited when it came to my EDD,then nothing happened so of course disappointed, tears and so on.Then i said sod it,carry on as normal, now I'm making careful plans for next 24 hrs and feeling a bit offish.grrr
Are you having a boy or a girl?noticed you wrote "he" but haven't got a clue whether it's just general description or not.
Mine is a surprise-had a gut feeling for a boy though.

Have to get dressed,go to the shop and get some milk-don't feel like moving by backside anywhere.

Weezie85 · 30/05/2012 10:49

Fret I was saying the same to DH. I just dont feel any love for bump at the moment. Just keep thinking 'get out' then feel really guilty. I have stopped responding to Facebook questions now. Its making me angry. Can't believe I am a whole week overdue. Why baby. We have a lovely room for you. All sorts of lovely bits for you. Meh.

EmilyD2012 · 30/05/2012 10:54

Hi all!

I'm 38+5 and desperate to meet the little fella now - this weather isn't helping much, hope you're all handling the heat ok.

Have been having braxton hicks accompanied with sharp twinges in my cervix for three days now and the other night it looked like things might actually be moving, but after a warm bath I was back to normal (achey, hot, constantly needing to pee, heartburn!).

On the plus side the house is spotless but I'm really missing having something to occupy my time since giving up work!

Hope things start moving for you all soon,

Emily x

used2bthin · 30/05/2012 11:49

Had my first have you given birth yet? text this morning! Bump looks smaller bizarrely not bigger, still high up.

Emily are you due 8th June then? Me too! Also have had a night of thinking it was getting going then nothing and am getting the cervix area pains, grr.

Right- someone did say tonic water is meant to be one of the supposed labour starters didn't they? If not I am drinking this vile stuff WITHOUT gin for nothing! Please tell me I didn't imagine it?

Commutinghell · 30/05/2012 12:07

Oh Chips congratulations!! I'm so pleased for you, and so quick as well!! Yey! It gives us all hope that there might actually be a baby in there Grin

fretfree · 30/05/2012 12:41

Hi - soo happy to read that I'm not the only one going through the same blah emotions, so huge thank you to limeflower, weezie and used2bthin for your posts :). I was starting to worry it could be an indicator for PND.

Yes - it is a baby boy :o

Emily - fingers crossed that things are picking up the pace. Problem with going over EDD is that the spotless apartment we had on 21 May is now gathering dust once more, and I can't be bothered to re-do it again just yet :o

Lucky - no posts from you. Hope that means positive news.

Used2be - I think my bump also looks smaller (until I catch my reflection unexpectedly and note that there is still a heffalump staring back at me....)

LimeFlower · 30/05/2012 13:06

Feeling normal again, might get dressed and drag myself to the shop. Will cook the dinner i tink.just being plain lazy

lucky thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed

fret among all the old wives tales i heard that girls are usually later.bollocks to that

used2be i'm also due on 8th except that i'll be fecking 42 weeks then

Kveta · 30/05/2012 13:08

Congratulations chips and family!

I'm still.pregnant, 39+1 today and feeling very rough. Just need some rest. But ds is having none of it and is more full on thank usual! Very cute this morning though, after his feed, he normally bounds from the bed cackling madly whilst plotting mayhem, but today he cuddled me and said 'thank you mummy, lovely milk'. I have spent this morning nesting, our hallway looks so much better. Lounge this afternoon, as it's a tip. But first a nap if baby will stop kicking and ds will nod off!

Kveta · 30/05/2012 13:09
