I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

Nope, not here anyway. I know first babies are normally late but I am just getting upset about it now. I keep getting twinges but then absolutely nothing. How long are you planning to stay in there baby....ahhh.
I have taken all the advice, kept active and everything and this baby is not coming out.
How are you doing today swivel?

SilverSage · 29/05/2012 08:12

No birthing action here. And it's still far too warm and sunny for my liking. I just seem to be in a permanent bad mood now.

SwivelHips · 29/05/2012 08:12

Weezie I'm the same, got period cramps again this morning, every night go to bed thinking "this is it folks"...then nothing. 8 hrs later (and 20 wees of course) here I am again another long day looming.
Today I'm busy though, going to look at cushions and a rug - and its a lot cooler :)

SwivelHips · 29/05/2012 08:13

Cross post silver....I was foul yesterday....but today I'm a bit brighter. Cloudy here :) (never been happy about cloud before in my bloody life)

Weezie85 · 29/05/2012 08:16

I am doing the same. I got regular BH yesterday and cramping when I went to bed and I was 'Yes, this must be the start', get up this morning and nothing. Lazy little thing does not want to come out.
I may go for a lovely long walk as it has cooled down so much. :)

iowmum88 · 29/05/2012 09:18

still no baby here!! Had a pinky/clear show yesterday and nothing else since. Due tomorrow and having a sweep I'm really hoping that kick starts things!!!
DP has to go away Friday and back Saturday so fingers crossed it doesn't happen then!!!Confused

LimeFlower · 29/05/2012 09:19

Morning everybody:)
I'm not going to ask whether we've got any babies yet just in case somebody whacks me over the head :o

My friends are taking bets as when the little one is going to make an appearance-most of them are convinced that it will be either 1st of 2nd of June Hmm Very likely as I'm booked for a sweep on 31st of May.

Got an emergency appointment with the dentist for the afternoon so I'm absolutely delighted about it.The receptionist burst into laugh when she heard the circumstances of the "emergency" but didn't question it :)

Weezie85 · 29/05/2012 09:22

Glad you got a dentist appointment. They may put this funny fake tooth stuff over it. My tooth cracked a week ago and they put this white stuff on it until I can go back in, as I will need to have a new filling put in. I have a sweep booked in on the 31st as well. I will be 41+1 by then though. I am thinking this baby is holding out till June as well. Maybe it isn't a fan of May. Haha.

SESthebrave · 29/05/2012 09:43

Morning all!

Still nothing, nada, zilch here! Another May baby pushing its way into June I reckon! (Well its obviously not pushing yet, but you know what I mean!)

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 29/05/2012 09:52

Still here, wondering if he's waiting for half term to make his appearance-which I suppose would give me a few days to get used to newborn life before the school runs start up again I suppose .

Weezie whatever they put on it-i don't care as long as i don't need root treatment on the tooth that is at 90 degrees angle facing away.

SES i don't even look at the dates anymore-what's the point?I should have it by 8th of June this is the latest as that would be 42 weeks.Just reprogrammed my brain to let it know that's my new EDD bollocks

The only thing I'm concerned about is that the little bugger is still growing so goodness knows what size and weight it's going to be...

LimeFlower · 29/05/2012 09:54

off to make a capuccino and give somebody some caffeine

LimeFlower · 29/05/2012 09:57

double moca choca anyone?

BlueAndRed would that be bad?

SESthebrave · 29/05/2012 10:01

Lime - hmm I might try that EDD reprogramming of my brain too Grin

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 29/05/2012 10:09

Lime No-hence the trying to find the bright side bit! It would make perfect sense in all honesty. The thought fills me with dread though-has anyone else turned into a rampant insomniac? 4.45 I was up and ready for the world this morning Shock.

OP posts:
Weezie85 · 29/05/2012 10:12

Yes, the insomnia is annoying. Its made more annoying by the fact that everyone keeps saying 'well enjoy the rest before the baby comes' If only I could, I was up at 5.30am today, DH didn't stir his lazy lugs until 9. Gah.
I think I will be taking your advice Lime and trying the new date, although it would be 6th June. Just really don't want to start thinking about the dreaded 'I' word, would fancy a more natural start to labour.

LimeFlower · 29/05/2012 10:19

Tell me about it-off to bed at 1 am,up 2 hrs later, back to bed at 5 am,DH up at 6:30 so that's me awake for about an hour, asleep till about 11am,up,about 2pm ready to hit the sheets.Sounds familiar?

LimeFlower · 29/05/2012 10:21

I'm trying to convince myself that this sleeping pattern will come in handy when the baby's here.I should be well trained by then for feeding purposes.

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 29/05/2012 10:28

At the rate I'm going the baby will sleep more than I do Hmm.

I'm normally one of these people who can do a 10 hour stretch and quite happily go back to sleep in the morning!! I'm not used to wandering around in the small hours!

OP posts:
LimeFlower · 29/05/2012 10:33

I used to sleep 8hrs in the night and up to 1.5 hrs nap in the afternoons.Happy days...

Commutinghell · 29/05/2012 10:59

Ugh. You'd think one of us would be evicting the little bloody parasites by now. I think you're all doing a bit better than me, I've had no show and no braxton hicks, not one, ever. Today's labour inducing activities are- 1. Laying laminate flooring. 2. Dog walking. 3. More flooring. 4. Swimming. 5. More dog walking. Oh, and the insomnia- I feel your pain. And the hatred towards DH lying next to me snoring is almost overwhelming. Angry

used2bthin · 29/05/2012 11:23

Wow commutinghell you are busy! I have just missed the only appointment I had today and now really bored. No money to go shopping or anything fun this close to pay day and very fed up now thought it was one and it was ten thirty.

Commutinghell · 29/05/2012 11:58

Aw sounds rubbish usedtobe. Sad I'm dreading the boredom, have things arranged for today and tomorrow but no idea what I will do after that. Really can't cope with having nothing to do. Hope you manage to find something. Perhaps you should have a baby? Wink (ducks under usedtobe's fist)

SESthebrave · 29/05/2012 13:05

Commuting - I moved into the spare bedroom about 3 weeks ago Blush
DH and I kept waking up in the middle of the night having arguments about who was taking up too much of the bed. We are both feeling so much better and getting on so much better now!
