I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

ilovechips i've got an appointment on Thursday and they offer to do a sweep then.
Cleaningwise-trying to keep at the top nagging DH to not scatter the stuff around and wash the dishes everyday-pita as i used to wait until there was a few and then bung them into dishwasher.
Trying to kill the time with the laptop but i think i'll have to look at about 200 leaflets given to me at every mw appointment.

SESthebrave · 28/05/2012 11:07

I'm still here too - 40+1
I've been struggling with conjunctivitis coming and going in the last few weeks and it's back with avengeance in both eyes this morning. I've been and got myself some AB eye drops and chucked all my eye make up out and bought new. Hopefully I can get rid of it for good this time.

I'm sure last night was one of the hottest nights yet. I heard a tip on the radio though that seemed to help a bit - open the loft hatch and the hot air will rise up and escape up there!

Lime - I have the same problem with DH and DS scattering various bits around the house and most awkwardly, on the floor. Before I took DS to nursery this morning I got him to pick up a few bits for me.

Kayz - too right, you wait your turn woman!! Wink

BlueandRed - my bump seems to be getting lower and lower too. I don't think it can get any lower! Tough about ear infections. How old are your DC?

I've put all my maternity crop trousers / shorts (3pairs) in the washing machine so I'm sitting here in a long vest top and knickers. Hope no one comes to the door!

SilverSage · 28/05/2012 11:24

I'm still here, and still fed up. Had sex 3 times over the weekend, drank about a gallon of raspberry leaf tea, and bounced on the gym ball for literally hours. Still having period pain type cramps, but no further progress from friday. Bump still hasn't moved. I'm just praying for the weather to break so I can get back to walking. I just can't cope with it at the moment as it's too bloody hot, and my poor swollen feet can't take it!

DairyNips · 28/05/2012 12:03

38+5 now.. Not expecting to be early at all. 2 weeks over last 2 timesHmm

If I go 'over' this time I will be trying nipple stimulation, clary sage oil and if I can afford acupuncture!

GingerLemonTea · 28/05/2012 12:48

Hi ladies,
40+2 here. Was ok until yesterday, but now a bit fed up because of heat & relatives, "is baby not here yet, it was meant to be here on Sat", grrr. To be cooler tomorrow. Also have inflamed gum, lip and sore jaw/ throat. Is paracetamol ok? 4 hourly or space out more?
Have cleaning I could do, but struggling to move from sofa.

DairyNips · 28/05/2012 13:19

Paracetamol is fine, 4 hourly but no more than 8 tablets in 24hrs.

used2bthin · 28/05/2012 13:35

Hi all, just wondered for those having period type pains are some quite bad? I have been crampy on and off for days, maybe more can't remember. But today got some really bad ones while sitting in a coffee shop with a friend. One felt very much like a proper contraction and I am really sore down there now, in a period about to start way, not proper pain like the one earlier was, in fact I had kind of a build up with that one, some quite painful ones then taht one then it dies down.

I'm going to have this for weeks aren't I?

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 28/05/2012 14:20

SES They are 7 and almost 4 (also have a 2 yo), 4yo has gone happily to nursery this afternoon, the doctor says its healing itself (his started on saturday). The 7 year old however is a bit more nasty looking, she's on antibiotics and is currently in bed feeling sorry for herself, she was sick when we got back from the doctors although I think that was the heat more than anything.

I made myself a to-do list today and am slowly ticking off the things on it-but am now starting to run out of steam. The shoppings done, the garden is mowed, the washing is all sorted, but my floors downstairs do really need mopping and the beds need changing. Somebody kick me up the backside and tell me to get on with it!

Hi ladies, I'm still here too! Was convinced it might happen last night - but no! TMI alert - keep pooing like there's no tomorrow and originallly thought maybe it was my body clearing out, but alas, no baby! ho hum, onwards and upwards, hope it dpesn't drag too much! Have cleaned house etc, but don't have the energy to keep on top of it now, so this baby needs to hurry up!

Also, mw asked if I was looking forward to labour - couldn't help but reply "like a hole in the head" - obviously looking forward to the baby, but labour - uh, no thanks!

Hope someone on this thread has one soon, if only to lift our spirits! I'm even contemplating sex

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 15:48

SES i managed whole pregnancy in pair of leggins, trousers and skirt.not counting pj's and tracksuit bottoms

SilverSage it's definitely cooler here today-spent most of the day inside yesterday lying down and still had swollen ankles and toes.

DairyNips you deserve to be on time this time,or even earlier to make up for the last 2.

GingerLemon that's why i didn't want to give my EDD date to anybody to avoid the questions.I can understand if they ask once in a few days, but everyday???Gosh, how people don't realise that it's annoying?

used2be that's the thing-you never know whether it's serious or not.Hope it's a proper cx starting up.

BlueAndRed sorry, can't lift my leg high enough

Katy what a stupid question she asked "do you fancy your arse being ripped open?" yes,I just can't wait... Hmm

luckynumber where are you?hope things are moving for you as you're over 41 weeks if i remember correctly.

40+3 today-just 3 days over and going bonkers already-i can always blame it on the hormones.

Weezie85 · 28/05/2012 15:55

well went to the metro centre. It is still roasting up here. I have had a lot of BH today, had a bit of pain in lower back. The BH at one point were getting regular but have stopped again. Damn you baby....haha.

used2bthin · 28/05/2012 16:00

I am feeling dreadful-sorry to moan as I know we all are, so fed up today. Walk to school at pick up made me feel faint and I am still a bit crampy but nothing major and no more than usual these days so I think it was just prep stuff not the real thing.

DH will be back soon and is planning on going swimming, AIBU to say no way is he leaving? I am fed up with him carrying on as normal while I suffer! Barely see him atm as he is on the stupid computer half the time (I know I am a fine one to talk!) Computer or excercising. Which is juts annoying as the least he could do is get fat with me Angry

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 16:05

I thought i was the only one cursing the baby...Although i don't mean it of course.

used2be moan as much as you like.

SwivelHips · 28/05/2012 16:29

I am cursing everything and everyone Angry

My new sofa has arrived and I really dont give a shit. My DH also carrying on living his bloody life as normal, god help him if he's late in from work :)

Lime (was that you that linked earlier? Sorry my head mushed...) here's hoping there's some truth to the pubmed thing....and we all pop tomorrow when the weather changes

SilverSage · 28/05/2012 17:30

Grrr! The second one from my antenatal class had her baby today - and that's the second one to be early. So jealous!!!

used2bthin · 28/05/2012 17:35

I allowed DH his walk Grin but am going to get him to do bedtime I think. Still getting these mild period type pains-then strong BH usually when I get up. Don't honestly think they will come to anything but going to take it easy anyway-DD is having beans on toast for tea and DH having frozen stuff, too ht toslave over a hot stove.

Ooh at new sofa I am excited on your behalf!

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 17:42

Swivel according to sod's law your waters will brek the second you plonk your backside on the new sofa :o

SilverSage that's absolutely outrageous, how dare she Angry

used2be world's not going to collapse if you don't cook,they won't starve.Beans on toast are fantastic,yum.

luckynumber11 · 28/05/2012 17:57

Hi - yes, I'm still here lime, and 41 weeks today! Nothing appears to be going on... Maybe the weather change tomorrow will do something? DH started his annual leave today as we thought by now he would need it. So it's been nice as he did the school and nursery drop-offs and pick ups while I lazed around... But it's a bit of a waste of the leave if we are waiting around until induction on thurs...
Also - i think you asked what a stretch was lime? Basically mw just putting her fingers in trying to stretch the cervix out a bit. It's what they do when the cervix is still too shut to get in at the membranes with 2 fingers and separate them / sweep around. So my "stretch" on its own probably won't have much effect!

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 18:26

lucky thanks for the info, but ouch!I t first they would have a look/feel of the cervix-if it's hard and closed what's the point of stretch/sweep if it's not going to do anything but cause pain?
This waiting game is horrible, very exhausting mentally and physically.

Will try to call the dentist first thing tomorrow morning and get an emergency appointment-can't plan anything beyond next 24 hrs...

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 18:26

I thought

used2bthin · 28/05/2012 19:41

Sorry am behind but limeflower feel for you with the dentist are you in lots of pain? I had an emergency appointment recently as been waiting for root canal suregery as I have had an abcess since november!

Something to look forward to the dentist will do the root canal work after the baby is born!!! Anyway recently had anti biotics as it flarred up again-so unfair having dental probs and beingpregnant, lots of sympathy!

I am so hungry all of the time. Just can't seem to eat enough to stop the food obsession despite the heat!

Still very sore but its more that I am tender in the pelvic area with twinges rather than contraction type/BH stuff. Hope I've not got an infection.

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 19:58

I'm not in pain used2be,just lost the filling in my wisdom tooth last night whilst brushing. This tooth is at awkward angle so last thing that i want is root treatment on it or surgical removal.I thought about asking the dentist for an emergency appointment and to stick something to close off the tooth before any damage is done.Even something temporary so I could have it fixed properly while the baby is born.

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 19:58

when the baby is born

used2bthin · 28/05/2012 21:30

You can buy temporary fillings at the pharmacy, yucky pink putty stuff but does the job if you are desperate!

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 21:43

Cheers for that,i didn't know something like this exists :)
