I was going to join the other one but those luck ladies have had thier babies and are now talking all things newborn Envy.

So join me if you are fat and getting somewhat fed up!

I am 36+4 and a scan on Monday showed that DS is already weighing around 7lb 3 Shock. For that reason alone I'm hoping he puts in an appearance soon. Previous DC's have been 40+1, 39 and 39 and 7lb6, 8lb13 and 8lb12.5 so not so sure why this one is estimated to be so big!

SESthebrave · 27/05/2012 14:27

lucky - I'm surprised they won't let you have an ELCS if it gets to that stage. I've not asked the question yet and kind of assumed I'd be able to have some choice - eek!

SwivelHips - hope you make the most of your relaxing sit in the garden

Kayz - hello!!!

Kveta - gardening???!!! I did manage church and then a trip to the supermarket this morning but bending up and down is just too painful!

Commuting - tennis??????????!!!!!!!!!

allotmentgirl - My scan at 35wks estimated baby at 6lb 4oz so half a lb a week since then means this one is estimated as about 9lb now I guess. DS was 8lb 9oz so I guess that would follow.

McKayz · 27/05/2012 21:13

Ses Hello!!!! where is that baby?? I am waiting for you to have yours before I have mine Grin

Commutinghell · 27/05/2012 22:16

Anybody with any signs of imminent baby appearances? I spent the rest of the day gardening and then had a walk and a Chinese. DH has ripped all our kitchen units out to lay a new floor and now we have no kitchen units and no floor so this would be a very inconvenient time to have a baby. Which makes it somewhat more likely that it might happen. Plus, I was really emotional this afternoon, this almost never happens. Is this a sign of imminent labour or that tennis, gardening and walking on my due date were a bit too much? Fingers crossed for us all, it's about time another baby turned up Grin

used2bthin · 27/05/2012 23:25

no signs here. Had some pains today but again really irregular, three all together and spread throughout the day-seems to be the pattern so I think I nust just be being a wimp about braxtons hicks. You are very impressive commutinghell though, I think I will go for a walk on d day too, but the gardening I will pass on!

LimeFlower · 27/05/2012 23:36

Evening everybody :)
will spend at least 2 hrs at the laptop due to my completely f*ed up sleep pattern nap in the afternoon. The heat in the house is adding to my misery-considering sleeping on the lawn outside.

So-if anybody fancy a chat,whinge or rant-here i am to listen.

Had a great day today-managed to piss off DH due to my grumpiness.Poor guy tried very hard to lift up my spirits with some small talk, after countless times having his head bitten off he lost it.We made up later but i felt like complete and utter bitch. At least had good reason to have a good cry and gosh, how relieved i wasam.

Resigned myself to the fact that the little bugger will come when it feels like it and nearly achieved some peace of mind until i saw the picture that my super twattish FIL has sent-going to the park with his 5 months old DGC.Hence another meltdown and comeback of grumpiness.Feels like rubbing my nose in it.
At least he hasn't asked about any news, otherwise I'd be more than happy to present a mouthful of not so pc words that don't exist in every English dictionary.

LimeFlower · 27/05/2012 23:53

SES i'm thinking the same-why sweep is performed in the hospital?Unless it's the local NHS policy. My mw appointments are in the local surgery, when she mentioned a sweep there was nothing about going to the hospital so I assumed that she would be the one performing it.

SwivelHips ask your DH what he puts in your tea-whatever it is both of us (DH and me)will be eternally grateful for-our sleeping patern consists of several naps during the day and night-never longer than 3 hrs.

Kveta you must be of better character than me-I'm jealous like hell and thinking "how dare she pop when it's not her turn yet".Feels like somebody pushing in front of you in the queue.
How the heck do you manage gardening?I stuck some flowers in the pots, replanted tomatoes and whack tatties into the ground.I was absolutely knackered.

McKayz i had a growth scan at 36 weeks, they said it was bang on dates bu refused to estimate the weight as apparently "got it wrong so many times".All i know is that the baby has some hair.

luckynumber poor you:( my deepest sympathy. What a bollocks they won't let you go for ELCS.Sorry to ask a stupid question but what a stretch is?

Commuting nada, zilch, nothing.Belly sitting high,no show or the other crap, just the odd belly tightening which i suspect to be BH so nothing to be excited about.

McPhee · 28/05/2012 05:58

Is it too early to join?

I'm 34+3 and already thoroughly fed up. There's been nothing but problems since day one with this pregnancy, and I want my body back now dammit Blush

Weezie85 · 28/05/2012 06:45

Thought it was all kicking off last night, the braxton hicks got a lot stronger and seemed to be getting regular. Small pains and woke up this morning fine. Oh my god, I am now 40+5, it is time to leave baby.

ilovechips · 28/05/2012 07:45

40+3 now, gggrrr! Have tried just about everything - walking, bumpy bus/car rides, cut the grass (which we had let grow way too long and was bloody hard work in this heat!), spicy food, raspberry leaf tea etc. The weekend just gone would of course have been most convenient as it was DD's weekend with her father so no childcare to stress about either - but hey ho! Am resigned to baby coming when it fancies, probably at the most inconvenient time!

SwivelHips · 28/05/2012 07:47

Still here....

Period pain in the night but possibly brought on by constipation Confused anyway its gone now and I'm back to being a symptomless bitch.

I am so fecken bored now, might go for a bounce and watch some tv. I see sun splitting the skies again - oh joy of bloody joys.

Never too early to join McPhee - but there's a queue :)

We need some action on this thread....anyone??

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 08:13

Morning everybody:)

Managed to sleep about 5 hrs so not too bad.Of course woke up as soon as DH went to work.

MacPhee it's never too late to join.

ilovechips i love them too what's your over due date?feel free to grrr as much as you want. That's why i didn't bother with any of these old wives crap-the baby will come come out when it feels like it and no amount of curry will change it.Sod's law with the convenience I'm afraid.

Swivel join the club.Another boring day of sitting on my backside doing nothing. What action???I'm more then ready and willing to participate.

The good side is that I'll avoid the nutty family member's b-day today-yupeeeee!

Lost the filing in my wisdom tooth last night while brushing-how the heck I'm going to make an appointment???Tell me about convenience...

SwivelHips · 28/05/2012 08:19

:) that would be birth action, any other kind of action I'd have to say a resounding no to.

I'm bloody shattered and I'm not long up, must be too early for a nap.

Nightmare about your tooth, you dont really need that just now, must be agony.

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 08:37

Swivel tooth is not sore but I'm dreading it might be.I'm annoyed that I can't make an appointment just now because goodness knows when the little bugger will make an appearance. Can't expect the dentist to drop everything and get me an appointment in a few hours.I've got bugger logistics-no car I could drive at the moment so even if he manage to fit me in somewhere it's at least 2hrs trip on the bus with 1 change(no direct bus). And the way back.

Every morning I look down on my belly hoping that it's down a bit.Not a fat chance, both t*ts still resting firmly on it,grrrrr

Commutinghell · 28/05/2012 08:39

Ugh. Still no baby. That is all.

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 08:40

The weather is supposed to change today-I remember somebody on the May thread said that more babies are supposed to be born then .Will try to find a link.

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 08:42

Commuting :o :o :o i can picture you waking up and looking between your legs surprised that there's still no baby there!Wish it was so easy...

Weezie85 · 28/05/2012 08:58

Debating going to metro centre to just walk around as it will be cooler than outside. Why oh why is baby not here? Meh. I was born on my due date. Blaming the dh as he was late. Must be his fault then. Haha.

SwivelHips · 28/05/2012 08:58

Smile my belly still up there too, my boobs morphed into my belly weeks ago so I just look like a weeble.
Sounds like too much effort to get your tooth fixed, with everything else going on it should keep your mind off it.
Ah commuting we share your pain. I feel utter shite today, worst day so far.
DH has suntan lotion stain on the sofa and I really don't care. It can stay there winking at me because I can't clean it.

SwivelHips · 28/05/2012 09:08

If I could walk Weezie I would go to Metro centre....however I'm off to lie on sofa and feel sorry for myself

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 09:11

Must be blind, can't see the bloody thing, grrr

Weezie85 · 28/05/2012 09:14

Oh swivel. Its more of a very slow waddle. Yesterday I could not even get off sofa at one point. I felt like a beached whale.

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 28/05/2012 09:22

My bump is low, my cervix has been1-2 dilated for the best part of a week nowand I'm still here Angry.

Had the runs yesterday, got my hopes up, thought it must be my body clearing out for labour......nope I bought some heartburn relief from Boots on saturday and took one tablet, read the leaflet this morning and it turns out the coating has castor oil in it Shock so yeah, big oops on my part there! Hopefully not enough castor oil to have had any other major effect though.

Off to do my shopping now, before I take DC's 1 AND 2 to the docs because of sodding ear infections!

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 09:23

What was is your EDD?Mine is either 24th of May according to the internet or 25th according to the mw

LimeFlower · 28/05/2012 09:49

There you go,it was right under my nose

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17004080

ilovechips · 28/05/2012 10:13

limeflower due date was 25th too! Booked for a sweep on Friday at 41 weeks, then I think 41 +5 is when they start talking induction in my trust. Got a wedding to go to on 6th July, was really hoping to be able to wear something other than a tent by then Hmm

Interestingly I have just got the urge to clean the entire house, have spent the last hour scrubbing the kitchen - is that because the house is a shit tip nesting I wonder!
