Yes I have finally started this thread. A bit apprehensive though as I'm still getting period pains.

I have worked out that baby number 2 should be due on 7 August.

Anyone else joining me??

Hi, I found out in time for the festivities that I'm due on the 27/08/04! (I have PCOS, and this was my fourth cycle of clomid.) I feel so lucky as our other little miracle is now 20 months old, and we were desperate to give her a little sibling.
This is my first pregnancy using anything like clomid, and I wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of more info? I have been worrying about cramps I've been having, but then I've just read here that lots of people seem to get them, particularly in the early weeks (I found out later on last time, so probably wasn't so aware of every little twinge!). Also, I know I'm scarred from the PCOS, which poss doesn't help! Having said that, all the 'good' signs are going great - nausea, wee'ing, sensitive nipples and swearing at my DH - lots! Bliss
Good luck to everyone else due in August, or anytime!

Hi Levanna, I conceived on clomid, luckily first time round. Have PCOS and was able to get an early scan at 10 wks, so try and push for that. Was told at early scan that all signs of pco was gone!! Pregnancy has been fine and am now 21 wks. You will be absolutely ok. Really. Just take care of yourself. (She says stuffing minces pies and smas cake down her throat)
Shall see if i can find any links for you however. Has been so long since i was scouring info on net for PCOS, at one time it was everyday.

Egypt · 03/01/2004 11:38

Quackers, thats great news! Cant believe you are 10 wks already.

Dinosaur

Because I am happy with my two and I think I won't cope. I don't have any help. Dh will be at work all day and me on my own with three children.
I never wanted three.

Hello everyone

Thank you for your comments re going for a "reassurance scan". I have decided not to go for an additional scan after all. Two main reasons for this. First, symptoms have resumed somewhat, which is reassuring. Also, have decided that if I give in to every little anxious niggle during this pregnancy I will drive myself mad. So I have decided to wait until scheduled nuchal scan on 20th January.

Thanks again

Dino - I don't even have a date through for mine yet. Hope it's on the doormat when I get home tonight as we leave the house before the mail arrives.

I am very apprehensive about it too, especially with the few late miscarriages there have been on here lately. How awful.

GOOD LUCK!!!

hi all, well I did it yesterday, handed my notice in at work and feel as though a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. They were really good about it and I don't have to work my notice period. Have been spotting slightly again, nothing like the bleeding the other week so am going to hold off from going for another scan unless really need to and am now spending time resting(ish) and being a lady of leisure. Booked into a hospital today as well, the system is very different here in NZ and they bombard you with so much choice at a time when I can't even make a simple decision - shall I go to bed or not!! - so have just make a random decision with no thought process really.
Fingers crossed everything is OK. Cannot wait for the next scan to cee everything is still OK. Shame you can't rig something up to your TV and just have a look every now and then.

bobthebaby · 06/01/2004 02:09

Can you not do tours of the hospitals sibble? I did.

Marina · 06/01/2004 09:39

NGPY, you have a really good point about trying to draw a line with the worrying. I was going fairly mad after some spotting this time last year and went to my GP (they lost a baby late too and went on to conceive again) begging for weekly heartbeat monitoring. He was really kind but said it would probably drive me mad - his wife had to have weekly scans because of the reasons behind her loss, and they found it utterly stressful. So he sent me away and frankly I am very grateful to him for it, although it took me a few days to accept his advice.
Very best of luck with all your scans, everyone. Sibble, my "spotty" pregnancy is now 16lb, grabbing her toes and attacking baby yogurt with indecent gusto. Enjoy being a lady of leisure!

So much for my symptoms abating! I nearly vomited on the Tube this morning - nice.

Marina, it's very hard to stop worrying isn't it?

Dinosaur, good luck with your scan.

Sibble, fingers crossed for you, as I'm sure you know, spotting is actually quite common. My spotty pregnancy is now a strapping, lively 2.5 yr old.

lol spotty pregnancy - cheered me up. Not having a good day, spotting is getting heavier and now have stomach cramps so am off to see locum GP for scan form. Problem is have had migraine all night and cannot see out of my right eye. Not sure about driving with one eye!!! Have sent Dh to work - concerned DH flapping around me trying to be concerned was worse than the bleeding!! So am shortly back to bed after friend has taken DS to kindy to rest!!

Bobthebaby - know want to have baby in hospital so my 2 choices are middlemore (aka muddlemore) or national women's so have plumped for national women's. was meant to look around middlemore thsi week but had had enough by 4pm when tour scheduled, was lying on sofa watching cartoons by then!!

bobthebaby · 06/01/2004 18:56

My friend went to National Womens and it was great. Are you going on to Birthcare afterwards? (I think that's what its called)

sibble · 06/01/2004 21:15

Not sure yet. Have heard great rumour that rooms at new Auckland Hospital (where National Women's is moving to) are all single rooms so no piont if that is true - otherwise if just malicious rumour to build the hopes of pregnant women will (think smiley).

Hi dinosaur and everyone...
Bleeding is now back to spotting again having spent yesterday confined to sofa and bed. Went to see locum GP, got scan form then couldn't get an emergency scan booked before next week as this is peek holiday time in NZ and they are either closed, without sonographer or over booked!!! So will weather the storm over the w/e and go next week if I need to.
Am feeling horrendously sick again so am taking that as a good sign.
I thought my pregnancy with Ds was hard due to working full time, communting to London and sickness so thought I would be prepared this time BUT...this has knocked me over sideways. Am seriously going through a 'what have I done' phase. As soon as DS was born I was overwhelmed by my felings for him and am worried that by the time this one is born I am going to be so 'over it'. Hopefully things will improve.....

M2T · 08/01/2004 10:34

Sibble - Good luck. That really is crap of them isn't it! I know what you mean about the sickness. I had it with ds but can't remember it being this bad. Hope you start to feel better soon.

As it happens I have felt much better for the past couple of days. Let's hope I've seen the worst of the sickness. 10 weeks tomorrow according to me last AF, but the Doc thought I may be 2 weeks further on which would tie-in with the sickness easing. Only the scan will tell and I still haven't had an appointment through yet!

Sibble - hope you are feeling better today. It is awful that you have wanted this for so long but feel so s**t. I am keeping everything crossed for you - and everybody else of course.
