I did a thread like this in conception
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1394415-TTC-Hysterics-thread

I found it very helpful, and I think others did too.
Pg is such a stressful time full of worry anxieties from the very serious to the very silly.
We all all need a safe place to vent these worries without judgement or made to feel guilty.
Soooooo..
Let the Hysterics Commense!.

Really OMGBFP thats awful I've never even heard of that

aww hugs did she say it in a tactful way or not?

I'm currently in housepants nappy lol

OMGBFP · 19/03/2012 15:21

Yes she was tactful and all but i still feel like shit. it's been out of my control though due to medical reasons, just ashamed I've not noticed and controlled my diet. Oh well. My BMI was 36 I think it's only if you are over a certain amount (guessing 30 or 35) that you need more. bit like some GP's when giving the Pill make overweight people take 2. just in case.

Hoebag · 20/03/2012 11:06

Aw yeah aw theres no nice way of saying it though is there

i'll be in that sit soon no doubt.

kirrinIsland · 20/03/2012 11:17

archemedes have you tried the hair band trick on your jeans? I use it to extend them a bit and then put a belt over so no-one can see :)
Mat jeans are so annoying for falling down all the time so I'm keeping out of those for as along as poss.

Hoebag · 20/03/2012 11:33

yeah i'm doing the hair band trick now lol,

still digs in a bit when I sit down lol,

Been having a bit of a wobble about sleeping on my front worried it could harm.

kirrinIsland · 20/03/2012 12:42

hoe I think that's fine in the early stages, and later you won't be able to anyway! At least I hope that's true 'cos I keep waking up on my front.....

Chunkychicken · 20/03/2012 16:13

Am SOOOOO exhausted (which makes me tetchy) but have LOADS to do, not least looking after my 23mo DD & working as a teacher. Neither jb

Chunkychicken · 20/03/2012 16:15

Blimmin phone...

Neither job cuts you much slack & I literally cannot keep up nor get enough sleep to cope. :( Luckily I only work 3 days a week & holidays in a week & a half but so much to do before then AND the house is a UTTER STATE.

OMGBFP · 20/03/2012 16:41

The house doesn't matter as long as you've got the basics donw the rest can wait till your holidays CHCH :)

Hoebag · 20/03/2012 17:45

I find doing basic tasks much harder now just general exhaustion.

G0ldenbrown · 20/03/2012 17:49

It's 4 weeks since my bfp and this week I'm stressing big time. Have my booking in app on Friday and don't have a clue what to expect or what I need to ask or anything.

Also, I think this tiredness may be killing me

OMGBFP · 20/03/2012 18:16

At your booking in they will just fill in forms, weigh you, tell you the system in your locality re birthing choices, ring/write for your appointment for your scan around 12 weeks and give you leaflets about healthy living etc. And if you are 8 weeks already they'll take bloods if not get you back for that.
Really not worth the father taking time off to come with you as it's boring as all hell!

Hoebag · 21/03/2012 21:14

I keep constantly feeling like something bad is gonna happen

doesnt help OBEM is about complications this week.

kirrinIsland · 22/03/2012 08:23

Think that's pretty normal hoe - try not too stress too much, the odds are in your favour :)

Hoebag · 22/03/2012 14:02

I hope so ,

I just wanna announce it but also not as its so early.

Chunkychicken · 22/03/2012 18:30

I know that feeling hoe - could you tell a select few that you wouldn't mind sharing the good news and (god-forbid) the bad news with? I'll be sharing with parents, in-laws, sibling & maybe 1 or 2 close friends, but it won't be common knowledge until the 12wk scan. This is how we dealt with it when I was pg with my DD & it made family events and so on quite easy to deal with, iyswim.

TheDetective · 22/03/2012 18:35

I did the hairbobble on the jeans - my midwife told me off and said I would cut the babies head off.

Oh how I laugh at this now! But at 17, I ran out to buy maternity jeans instead of eating for a few days.

Now I'm the midwife, I will never ever tell anyone such silly crap!!!

Hoebag · 22/03/2012 21:15

LMAO what?????

its a hairbobble not barbed wire.

TheDetective · 23/03/2012 10:13

I saw that midwife again when I was doing my training - I just gave her a smug 'screw you' kind of look!!

FoofFighter · 23/03/2012 10:59

haha love it :)

Hoebag · 23/03/2012 11:46

Oh dear I hope she is retired/gone now.

Its bugging me I dont have a docs surgery or a MW as im between registering. Is it 8 weeks they first visit you?
