Just what it says really.

My mum was absolutely sure I was a boy, and then I wasn't (obviously).

OTOH I am pretty sure this is a girl. Only 12 weeks so can't be sure either way even with a scan, but that's my strong feeling.

What about you? Did you "know" and then have your feeling confirmed? Or the opposite?

I thought it was a girl, then started really hoping it was, because we didn't have a name for a boy. It was a boy :)

TroubleAndFyfe · 14/03/2012 15:19

Yes, I knew and I was right but then I am usually right! Wink

ninani · 14/03/2012 15:31

With my first one I was 100% sure it was a boy and I was right. Mind you, I could never have imagined having a boy before so it had nothing to do with me preferring boys! But it started my fascination with boys Grin

Because I know another mum who was "convinced" hers was a boy but it was a girl. But she had done "everything the doc said" to have a boy which does not make her prejudiced, does it? Confused

PeazlyPops · 14/03/2012 15:55

I thought I was having a boy, I always referred to the bump as "he". I was right! (Well, he's not here yet, but two scans have confirmed we're having a boy!)

Methe · 14/03/2012 15:59

I knew with my dd and ds and am 13 weeks now and think it's a another boy which suits me fine due to the bedroom situation.

I'm having a scan tomorrow and am hoping to sweet talk the sonographer in to having a look for me.

Chrysanthemum5 · 14/03/2012 16:02

I always felt DS was a boy, and obviously I was right! With DD I had no idea so I assumed a boy until the scan said girl

mamalovebird · 14/03/2012 16:09

I had a feeling it was a boy, DH convinced it was a girl. I was right.

diedandgonetodevon · 14/03/2012 16:13

I had a strong suspicion with both DS & DD and was right both times- but you do start with a 50/50 chance of being right Grin

QED · 14/03/2012 16:16

I was sure DS was a girl and that DD was a boy Grin

Beamur · 14/03/2012 16:16

I was convinced it was a boy. I was wrong.

SausageSmuggler · 14/03/2012 16:19

I got it wrong both times! With DS I was convinced he was a girl. This time I assumed we were having another boy but 3 scans say girl!

heartmoonshadow · 14/03/2012 16:23

Found out I was pregnant 1st time at 10 weeks and at 12 week scan said 'look at HIM' without thinking about it and I was right. This time I knew from date of implantation and I had a strong feeling that its a girl. 20 week scan said so but I will not be 100% until I hold her in my arms! So yes odd really as I am not usually intuitive about anything else.

SparklyGothKat · 14/03/2012 16:26

I knew with my boys that they were boys! Just had a very strong feeling. with the girls I have no idea at all.

Crazytictac · 14/03/2012 16:31

Had a strong feeling from day I found out I was having a boy. Had a brief doubting episode at week 37 but my initial gut instinct was right.

Yorky · 14/03/2012 16:31

With DD I 'knew' she was a girl - think I said 'told you it was a pink one' as I lifted her out of the pool! With my 2 DSs I haven't known, and don't know again this time so am assuming another boy in May, despite the scan suggesting otherwise!

NightLark · 14/03/2012 16:35

yes * 3 (2G, 1B)
Still not statistically significant evidence of my powers though.

bessie26 · 14/03/2012 16:37

I knew my first was a boy 2 days before I did the pg test. I was very confused when DD1 popped out! Grin

PoppyS34wantsgoatscheese · 14/03/2012 17:04

I've had a feeling from the start that it's going to be a boy, and we have our 20wk scan tomorrow, so will hopefully find out if I'm right! :)

My feelings are based on absolutely nothing scientific or reasonable at all, though. :o

I will post back and let you know.

Frontpaw · 14/03/2012 17:05

Yes and yes. I am quite good at guessing other people's bumps too.

toddlerama · 14/03/2012 17:06

I was absolutely certain that I was having a 3rd girl, to the point that I am not sure I entirely believe the scan which says I'm having a boy. I just can't quite accept it. I am definitely wrong because I've had other scans since where I've asked them to double check (!) but I just don't feel like the mum of a boy Confused

oikopolis · 14/03/2012 19:01

my friend took one look at me at 2 weeks pg and said "it's a girl, i just know it". i wonder...

The first thing I said to my dh just after giving birth was "I TOLD you he was a boy!" when second dc was born I was so shocked he was a boy that I couldn't speak. Was expecting a Sarah.

henrysmama2012 · 14/03/2012 19:24

We named our bump the day we found out (at 5 weeks) that we were pregnant! Luckily we got the gender right Smile

smartiesrule · 14/03/2012 19:30

I was the same as Superene , I just said 'told you' when DS popped out. Very gratifying when XH said 'you were right!' Grin

lolajane2009 · 14/03/2012 19:32

i knew my son was a son from the very start. no idea why but i knew.
