Clearly sore and not store..... Oops! Blush

HaggisNeepsTatties · 22/02/2012 21:17

Hi Duke
Your scan should be fine...I've had a few, one this pregnancy and several during fertility investigations. There's no risk to the baby and it's not painful...much better than a smear test. When I've had them done the sonographer barely even looks "down there" I had a bit of tissue to cover my privates and she just put the probe in, but then is focused on looking at the screen.
Hope it goes okay tomorrow. Will be thinking of you xxxx

mrsclairemarie · 22/02/2012 22:07

Hi elbelle, I have very little symptoms no sore boobs, no ms. All I have is a bloated tummy and I'm slightly more tired some of the time. I worry all the time about not feeling very pregnant after a mmc last year. I had an early scan last week and it was fine and I saw the heartbeat, even so I'm still constantly worrying! I drive myself mad sometimes!

Midgetm · 22/02/2012 22:14

Evening all. Well I managed to stuff my face at Rick Steins today so I added a food baby to the actual bean too. Squeezed in a nap and in bed now. God knows how I will cope with getting back to work and also looking after my DD. This tiredness is a bitch.

Duke like Haggis says the scan is fine. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable when they move the probe at certain angles but I would agree it is less painful than a smear. The worst bit is waiting for them to say something and then sometimes when they do it isn't conculsive. I will have everything crossed for you.

I have not had pooh pipes. More like pooh pellets. I pooh like a rabbit. I was like it through the whole of my pregnancy with DD. And I am a size 6 in the morning but pretty much a 10 when I go to bed. Week 5 - this is not a good sign!

Night night all

Cheekychops29 · 22/02/2012 22:21

ElBelle u think they got sore about week 5! Seems like yonks ago now, but everyone's different and develops their own symptoms at their own rate I guess! Fingers x we have healthy pregnancies and no sickness hehe! How smug would we be! (touch wood) mine will prob develop tomo now x

Cheekychops29 · 22/02/2012 22:28

I think*

missbone · 22/02/2012 22:51

Ooooh! Midgetm, get you dining at Rick Stein's! Very posh! Wink

marvellousmarie · 22/02/2012 22:56

Oh my goodness! I have the worst wind tonight! It's really painful trapped wind! It must be the lemonade I'm drinking by the pint! I also had sex with DH and after had a bit of 'coral' colour on the tissue Confused. That was hours ago but have had nothing else since so it must have just eroded something??Hmm I'm hoping anyway...

Night all and hope all the scans go well and that all the beans stay sticky! Xx

FjordMor · 22/02/2012 22:59

Evening all from the rainy fjords! Sorry I'm not finding time to comment much but checking in and reading every chance I get to see how everyone is.

ElBelle, mrsclairemarie - can relate to the worrying over lack of symptoms. My boobs got VERY sore shortly after conception and were even so painful I couldn't sleep one night but now they're no more sore/sensitive than when I have a period normally. I too seem to be without spotting, MS...just very big & bloated (look about 20 weeks already oi vay! Shock), tired, uncomfortable (I'm ancient & unfit Wink) and SUPER-windy (hope that's not TMI! Wink)

I told my lovely mother in law today as I was just so desperate to tell someone. She was so excited and now, despite being weirdly calm before, I'm getting more nervous about MMC etc.

Hope everyone else had a good day and sending 'non-worrying' vibes out to everyone for a good night's sleep. Me? I think I need one of those body-pillow things already as I wake 3 times a night with a dead arm/painful hip. It's not easy to sleep on the left side all night! Or is that just me? :)

Duke, Fairy - good luck with scans! I had an internal scan for my fibroids & didn't really find it uncomfy at all. Much more comfy than a smear - you're in a better position.

41, 6 weeks, 4 days, first baby/pregnancy

FjordMor · 22/02/2012 23:01

Midgetm - "food baby" :) excellent! Perhaps that's why I'm so big? Good call!

AKMD · 22/02/2012 23:07

Hi! I'm bringing [biscuitBiscuit to the party...

One time of getting a little bit carried away and here I am... BFP today, I've worked out that I'm due somewhere around 22nd October. We're on holiday at the moment so it all feels a bit surreal. DH is thrilled, I'm not quite sure. Had major abdominal surgery in September and was told no babies for at least 6 months. The surgeon is going to kill me. I'm a bit worried but have booked in with the doctor for the day we get back and we'll see how it goes from there Confused

This will be DC2. DS is 2.

AKMD · 22/02/2012 23:07

That was meant to be two biscuits, just in case one looked a little mean :D

Angelico · 22/02/2012 23:12

For those with bunged up pipes - mug of hot water and a quarter of a lemon. Two cups of this and you'll produce a poop the size of a small country (that was today's pregnancy magic moment) :o

Good luck tomorrow Duke x Night night all - have to go pack - heading home 2moro as DH comes home yay!!!

FjordMor · 22/02/2012 23:16

AKMD - welcome! :) Hope it all goes ok with the surgeon. I'm sure it will be ok - you're not far off 6 months. Do enjoy the rest of your holiday :) Anywhere nice?

(I think I must have eaten the other biscuit before it made it to the page! Wink)

milk · 23/02/2012 07:28

So... last night I went to sleep at around 6:45pm and just woke up now... and had loads of hot sex dreams in between!!! The thing is, since finding out the BFP I have had sex twice, so I have no idea why I felt so horny this morning.

HeeHeeHeeBum · 23/02/2012 07:41

Angelico Thanks for the lemon and water tip - need to try that!

FjordMor I keep waking with dead arms and weird hands where some of my fingers "clunk" into place. I was going to ask my midwife about that.

I have got my booking in appointment today and this morning I got some red spotting. I've had brown every day for a few days but this is the first red for a while :(

Beans1977 · 23/02/2012 09:01

HeeHeeHeeBum I am getting that too - kind of a pins and needles feeling in my arms. Let me know what your MW says! Good luck with the booking in appt x

turnwest · 23/02/2012 09:54

hope the scan is ok today Duke, thinking of you. xxxx

Heeheeheebum- hopefully the spotting its nothing to worry about, i ll keep my fingers crossed for you xxx

Well, my stomach feels enormous this morning, i m definitely going to try the water and lemon to see if it can move anything!!

marvellousmarie · 23/02/2012 10:06

Heeheebum I hope it's nothing. Spotting is very common. Try not to worry its the combination of period pains and bleeding when we need to worry! At least that's what I'm telling myself.

twolittlemonkeys · 23/02/2012 10:38

AKMD Welcome aboard! :) Don't worry too much about the 6 month thing, you'll be way past that before you start to get bigger! They say if you've had a c-section you should wait 9 months before getting pregnant again to allow time to heal yet quite a lot of people who've had sections have babies with a gap of less than 18 months in between. I'm sure your surgeon will be ok about it. Bet your DS will be delighted to have a sibling!

BTW, those of you who already have DC, when do you plan on telling them? I want to tell our boys asap but just know DS1 will tell the world, so probably will have to keep it hush hush at least until we've had a scan. Quite frankly, lots of people may have guessed by then - last time (MC) I had to switch to maternity clothes at 8 weeks as all my waistbands were digging in. It's easy enough to disguise my bump with baggy jumpers etc on the school run, but when I wear smarter (generally more fitted) clothes, eg at church, it's harder to disguise my bump.

Fairygodmother1 · 23/02/2012 10:49

Hi ya,

I'm bidding you farewell. I've miscarried. Thank you all so much for your kind wishes, thoughts and prayers. I hope I'll be on the Dec, Jan, Feb threads soon (Think I've missed Nov)!

We're happy in the knowledge that we can get pg (after 4 1/2 years of wondering).

Wish all well on your journies

[Thanks]

missbone · 23/02/2012 11:04

Marie, this is exactly why I am refraining from penetrative sex! Stop getting your bloody cervix battered!!! Wink

Fairy, how did your scan go at 7.45am? Duke, am thinking of you at 7.30 this evening xx

HeeHee, hope you get some reassurance from the MW today x

Welcome AKMD, and congratulations Thanks

twolittlemonkeys · 23/02/2012 11:15

Fairygodmother1 I'm so sorry. Gentle hugs and virtual chocolate coming your way. I hope you are able to come back and update us with news of another pregnancy soon. Take care of yourself.

FjordMor · 23/02/2012 11:26

Fairygodmother1 I'm so terribly sorry to hear that. Hope to see you back soon x

HeeHeeHeeBum fingers crossed for today. I second missbone in hoping you come back reassured. Do let us know what the MW says about the dead arms/hands. I'm hoping it's just from sleeping on my side & trapping nerves. Am on the verge of investing in a 'body pillow' though as I seem to have a bit of that SPD thing (where the pelvis expands & causes pain) in my hip/back etc. Self-diagnosed of course as I'm nowhere near my doctor.

Hope everyone's feeling ok today, not too sick & not too worried :). I think I had my first bad MS today after eating (nausea only, not vomiting). Guess that's a good sign? Off for dose 1 of my 200mg of Brew Wink

FjordMor · 23/02/2012 11:34

twolittlemonkeys - I have 2 DSDs (10 & 12) & when to tell them is a whole other minefield at the moment. We don't know whether they'll feel pleased (they're at the age where they love babies & toddlers), feel threatened or how much their mother will pressurise them to feel about it one way or another. I wanted to give them as much 'notice' as everyone else - telling them after our scan, making them feel part of it & giving their dad lots of time to talk to them about how they feel about it but he's nervous & wants to delay telling them. Really though, if they didn't think I was an old fatso, they'd know already as I look incredibly pregnant Blush.
