37+4 and fed up - any one else?

Moan alert:

I am fed up of:
Fat feet,
heartburn,
double chin,
feeling sick,
piles,
mahoosive boobs and belly,
stretch marks (they hurt),
being out of breath,
stuffy nose,
snoring (mine not DH),
general grumpyness (mine not DH)

Due on the 8th November - if I go overdue the latest date for induction would be the 21st November (that is one whole month)

Not only that it has just dawned on me that I will have to actually go through childbirth and will my body ever go back to some sort of normality?

I can't wait to meet my DD and see her little face for the first time, but I am bricking it!!

38+4 here. I love the list, I agree with it all and raise you an aching pubis and fanjo!!!

Last few weeks are a drag. Disappointingly my active bowel and period pains from last night haven't escalated.

Join us on the November antenatal thread. We all moan together.

scepticalexpat · 21/10/2011 15:04

I have the same due date as you, Franchini, and like you can't believe it could go on for another month.

I don't really have a lot to complain about other than general discomfort, exhaustion, periodic hormonal insanity, and inability to sleep through the night. But that feels like enough! Seems I have been pregnant half my life. And birth is scary too. Oh dear...

twogirls1more · 21/10/2011 19:11

I'm 36+ 4 and on my 4th pregnancy. Hate the fact that (in my case at least,) the pre-labour symptoms have gone on for longer before established labour each time! (Last time I had about 4 false alarms over the last 6wks where semi-painful contractions were coming over periods of up to 3hrs 5mins apart..drove me nuts!!) This time, it being my last pregnancy, I'm a bit more chilled about it and accepted that this is what my bod does so just focusing on my due date! Is frustrating though! (Have a massive 47" bump! :( )
Good luck girls! Hope things happen for you soon! :)

Cherrybug · 21/10/2011 21:43

Franchini and sceptical, I'm due on 8th too! My life has been an utter disaster lately. Have had to have emergency dental treatment today as had agonising toothache. Also on antibs for a UTI and awaiting cholestasis results too. We are also homeless and having to live at inlaws as we had a house fire so can't even have home comforts and won't be able to take baby home as we can't move back till early Dec. And baby is also stubbornly posterior so am freaking out about longer more painful labour!

Just got to think, it'll all be worth it in the end!

roz1982 · 21/10/2011 21:44

Oh god I am so fed up. 36 weeks yesterday and I have seriously had enough. Can't get comfortable in any situation. Back aches. Can't move properly, eat properly, breathe or sleep properly. These are basic human needs!!!

Feel so cumbersome and massive and unlike myself. Broke my longest best nail today. Feel grumpy to the max.

Having a kitchen fitted all this week which just means everything has been in uproar and total messy chaos and can't bear it.

Been without washing machine for almost a week, got brand new one today dh plumbed it in I put a wash on and it's fucking leaking!!!! ARGGHHHHHH!!!!

roz1982 · 21/10/2011 21:47

Oh gosh cherrybug just read your post and feel guilty for moaning now. Hope it all gets sorted out how awful for you x

roz1982 · 21/10/2011 23:13

Something else has just happened that has out me in such a mood. A woman at work has been preg at same time as me and a couple of months ago we had a conversation about baby names (dangerous) I told her what our favourite boys name was, as we knew we are having a boy and of course, it's her name for a boy too!! She didn't know what she was having, but due before me so I was hoping she had a girl. Anyway of course she has had a boy first and named him my favourite name!!!!!!! I don't really have any others that I really like but just don't feel like its my name anymore. Feel a bit childish but I'm in such a bloody grump.

pilotsprincess · 22/10/2011 00:30

Ladies can I join the rant?!
Im due the 12th of Nov so 37 wks today.
Ive just started serious insomnia, cannot sleep and when I do I wake up sweating so hot and having all kinds of wierd vivid dreams!
So im feeling exhausted and grumpy I cant stop ranting!
wooo that felt good :)
roz1982 - thats so annoying with the name, id have been reduced to tears in my current mental state! not to worry its still YOURS!

roz1982 · 22/10/2011 13:41

I know it really is annoying. I'm a bit more over it today but if I honk about it or log on to Facebook I get cross again!! Oh god the insomnia is just the worst!!!! I'm exhausted snappy and everywhere i look there is mess dust and chaos. Washing machine is still leaking in the middle of kitchen floor. Mum breezed in before and started gong on about it marking the Lino. If I hadn't gone upstairs a major row would have ensued.

Ladies it will all be alright in the end.

whimsicalquark · 22/10/2011 13:53

Can I join in......
Im 37 weeks on tuesday, finished work yesterday (a week earlier than expected due to feeling oh so tired)
I had a relatively easy first and second trimester, no morning sickness etc, was actually quite smug about how easy this whole pregnancy lark seemed.
then the third trimester began. I now have aching feet the size of boats, it is impossible to tell where they end and calves begin. Incredibly painful carpel tunnel syndrome in my left hand (great as im left handed) which is keeping my awake all night. my back hurts , it is impossible to get any sleep as uncomfortable whichever way I lay. I'm currently averaging 7 toilet trips per night. Im exhausted during the day but cant sleep at night due to bladder, back , hand etc
oh yes and I was told I have gestational diabetes so I have to test blood 4 times a day and no yummy food :(
I really hope this baby arrives early as the thought of another 3 and half weeks of this makes me want to cry !!!

I feel better for this moan

roz1982 · 22/10/2011 14:01

Oh god it's all just such a mare isn't it! I've had carpal tunnel for past few weeks and can't imagine NOT having tingly numb sore hands now! Everyone makes out that your supposed to be all restful and calm in weeks leading up to birth but that's just friggin impossible!!!

Whimsical, I left work week earlier than I'd planned too and have just replaced that stress and tiredness with kitchen being ripped out stress and tiredness which is so much worse! Today had dad, plumbers, sister and mum round all with good intentions but at one point just wanted to scream at everyone to GET OUT!! I really am a horror Angry

roz1982 · 22/10/2011 14:03

This is me at moment Angry Sad Angry Sad Angry Sad Angry Sad Angry

Capitaltrixie · 22/10/2011 15:29

Feel for you Roz, I feel like screaming most days Angry (35 + 2 today with dd2)

My dp is lovely and patient & I am such a horrid snappy cowbag. Feeling so unattractive, blobby and fat today...ugggg

Great list Franchini, to cheer everyone up my dd is 18 months old and I remember once I'd got over the first month after the birth, my body felt great & totally back to normally. As I'm typing this I do find it hard to believe! but I'm holding onto that thought Grin

roz1982 · 22/10/2011 17:13

Capitaltrixie I have the most lovely patient dh too and he's been doing so much around the house and that makes me feel even worse haha! Just have to remember that we are doing the most important job of all and it's bloody hard work!!!!!

Capitaltrixie · 22/10/2011 23:52

God yeah - I find myself getting annoyed that dp is doing so much & being so helpful! (see - completely bonkers!!). Lovely as he is I've been told we're not having any more after this one Confused
We'll look back & smile when we have our gorgeous bubs & feeling more normal again [hgrin]

Hope the washing machine is fixed. Just battling a bit of the old pregnancy insomnia atm...

pilotsprincess · 23/10/2011 00:12

Well I feel ill, just sat and ate so much food its disgusting, while watching x-factor. just could not stop!
Ive also lost all patience with anyone being helpfull and Ive already started dealing with people asking me ''ooh any signs yet?''
God help them in a few weeks ill bite heads off!!
My dh is away atm so thats making me worse because people are fussing over me.
Gosh they really are just trying to be nice :O

Sending ''good nights sleep and no insomnia'' vibes to you all :)

roz1982 · 23/10/2011 10:01

Grin at capitaltrixie getting annoyed at dp being too helpful!!! If it helps I get very irritated at times when dh is trying to be too affectionate...I'm like get off!! >growl<

Princess - because we have been having kitchen done I have eaten the most disgusting and vast array of junk food this week that I just feel ashamed...I must go somewhere today and be fed vegetables...I have only counteracted all ths filth with a few grapes and a banana.

Hope everyone had at least some restful kip!! Xx

roz1982 · 23/10/2011 10:02

Ps just ate half a bounty with my breakfast.... Hehe

Halgirl · 24/10/2011 16:34

I sympathise. Am 33 weeks and totally fed up. Been an awful pregnancy and have hardly slept for the last 2 months. I'm a teacher and have been looking forward to half term but today after trying to relax my restless legs have made me feel worse!!! I can't bear another 7 weeks!!!

Kimmie30 · 24/10/2011 16:57

Can i join in?? I am 38+4 on my 4th pregnancy and having being a moody hormonal bitch the whole way through! If one more person asks me "any news yet" i while throw myself on the floor in a massive tantrum!! I want to evict this baby now but he is as happy as anything in there and have gone overdue all 3 times before so know i will again despite nearly everyone predicting dates for me!!!
I am also wondering how much bloody bigger i can get. All books etc say my weight gain will slow down or stop after 37 weeks, i however am gaining the most in the last few weeks!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! xxx

nickelbabe · 24/10/2011 17:09

funny that, i'm 35+2, and i'm really just getting started on this bloody annoying stage.
My tummy feels like it's being stretched beyond all imagination - and when the baby sticks its arse out, it feels like it's trying to get out Alien-style!
And i think my ankles have been swelling, which of course is making me worry about pre-eclampsia; everyone's going on about the flu jab; i've got a hard lump on my undercarriage, which initially I thought was just a sore from the milliosn of times I've been going for a wee, but it's definitely a lump. So now I have to decide whether it's an important problem, or just a zit. and of course, I can't bloody see it because the bump is too big for me to get an angle to see in the mirror!

pecanpie · 24/10/2011 18:44

Ooh me too! 36+1 with DC3, can't get to sleep, restless legs, nevermind moody, I'm just downright angry most of the time (particularly bad when in the car), can't bend down to pick up DDs toys and if I sit on the floor to tidy up, I just can't get up. Desperately need to start preparing baby things DC3 will be a DS so need to think about getting a few bits and pieces for hospital, packing bag, sorting out a double buggy etc but too out of puff to shop or queue to pay. I'd love to go to the shops but will prob end up doing all online. Also p'd off with DH who apparently will do anything I ask him to but feels more like I have to have a meltdown for him to OFFER help!!

roz1982 · 25/10/2011 09:28

I hate hate hate being in the car for anymore than 10 minutes!!! Feel like a caged animal!!! I just keep getting in major grumps at the moment, like really frowny, stressy grumps. Kitchen is nearly done now but I'm still peed off about it!!!

Also I just have no interest in sex now what so ever...at almost 37 weeks I'm feeling hefty, cumbersome and oh so not sexy at all!! Dh is still up for it, if there was a raging fire it wouldn't put him off, so feel a bit bad for not putting out at all! Anyone else????

Franchini · 25/10/2011 09:36

It's nice to know I'm not on my own girls! Lol - we are all as bad as each other aren't we?

Couldn't sleep last night due to whichever side I was on the hip hurting me even with a pillow jammed in between my legs - poor DH!
