Had some bleeding and some bloody mucus the past few days and now I am having fucking mega pains in my back. About half way up and down to the bottom.

(TMI ALERT) Also had a very, very upset tummy earlier today.

I have no idea if I am in labour or not and apologies if this OP is all over the place as I really can't think straight I'm in that much pain and this is even through Tramadol!

Someone help, please!

I hope all is okay and she is snuggling and has forgotten us all in the baby haze!

BonzoDooDah · 22/09/2011 09:54

Hi Schrodinger - hoping all is well with you and baby E.

Dozeyland · 22/09/2011 09:55

Excited!!

SchrodingersMew · 22/09/2011 11:52

Hi everyone!

Really sorry for not updating. My contractions tailed off after some bug hit me and have been on strong painkillers and being sick since yesterday...

However, I have been given a sweep and feeling the odd tightening and pain in my tummy. Lost lots and lots of plug (bleurgh) and am being induced on Saturday.

My DP has agreed that when I am in labour if I can't update he will do it for me! :o

Yet again, I am so sorry for not coming back. Have just been ill and wanted to curl up!

Must say though, sweeps fecking hurt! The Dr I got was very ermm thorough! Couldn't have gone harder in my opinion but I suppose that is a good thing! Hoping it sends me into labour as I want to meet my little boy already!

Thanks everyone for your support and I wont disappear again! :)

You poor thing! Hope you're feeling better now and that the sweep works!

SchrodingersMew · 22/09/2011 13:43

Thanks. I'll be okay. :) Feeling a little better at the moment but was up most of the night in tears from this migrane/toothache thing that has come with this bug.

They said because I have the bug my sinus is inflamed but also said something about the roots of my back teeth being in or connected to my sinus so it's causing horrific pain on the whole one side of my face incuding my eyesocket!

Apart from that though I'm just excited. :o Still losing lots of plug. Just went for a shower and while about to wash down below ended up with a hand full of really bloody mucus... Lovely eh!?

Hopefully it will get a move on soon!

Get well soon Smile

CombineArvester · 22/09/2011 13:59

Bloody hell at least you're still feeling excited and optimistic, there's nothing like that excited and shit scared feeling when you're about to have a baby.

Don't feel any pressure to keep us updated Wink, feel bad about posting now!

pushmepullyou · 22/09/2011 14:00

Have to delurk to let you know that weird nerve pain toothache was my first sign of labour Grin

stripeybump · 22/09/2011 15:55

Sending zen-like vibes of strength and peacefulness for Saturday - sweep doesn't sound much fun, does the doc just poke around your cervix?

I'm only 28 weeks so hopefully a couple of months still to go for me Envy also a boy.

ZhenXiang · 22/09/2011 16:00

Sorry to hear you are now feeling unwell, being pregnant is such a bummer when you can't take decent pain relief, if it gets really bad see GP for something stronger than paracetamol that is safe for you and baby.

Saline Nasal Spray great for clearing and helping with infected sinuses and totally safe, used it all through last pregnancy and now with this one as am constantly getting infected sinuses after colds.

Flisspaps · 22/09/2011 17:07

SchroedingersMew :( Sorry you're feeling so crap. Hopefully you'll feel better soon and then Eirik (is that right?) will put in an appearance Grin

YougreatPamplemousse · 23/09/2011 08:07

Oh schroedinger Sad - hope you have had a good night's sleep and thing get moving for you soon.

thisisyesterday · 23/09/2011 08:44

oh no :(
hope you're feeling a bit better now schrodinger.

the good thing about labours with a long slow lead up is that they're often quite quick once you actually properly "get going" iyswim ?

really sucky to have tooth/sinus pain whilst in labour though!!!

wideawakenurse · 23/09/2011 08:46

Poor thing, sounds horrid.

Hope you manage to get some rest and sleep overnight and that things get moving for you soon.

Ooh Pass on our positive thoughts for a fabulous birth and we look forward to hearing about Eirik's arrival. :o

ZhenXiang · 23/09/2011 22:09

Good luck Schroedinger! :)

Oeisha · 23/09/2011 22:18

schrodinger Oh no! I was so hopeful for you there....
I hope you feel better soon. Here's hoping Eirik's arrival is soon, swift and as painless as possible.

Just FYI: Tramadol is an opiate. Opoid anaglesics seriously fuck mess with your chemical pathways to your brain form you stomach and can cause (usually) very painful constipation with bouts of pretty bad painful runs. Also, they cause migraines if taken for a prolongued period, migraines can include what feel like sinus pains, eye pains and what feels like toothache. schrodinger it probably is a bug, but just wanted you to be aware of some of the less desirable effects of tramadol - especially if taken over a protracted period.

also, if you're feeling poverty strapped post birth tramadol has a very high street value (not that I'd ever suggest selling on your prescription drugs illegally...so don't...Wink)
