Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

I tried the Pineapple, apart from a sore tongue and a sleepless night, nothing happened!
My Bump is just as active now as it always has been, likes kicking DP in the ear when he rests his head on my tummy to have a chat to to him/her!

SerenaJoy · 25/06/2011 22:26

I spent ages in the bath today watching my bump - I don't know what the baby was doing in there, but it was better than the telly! It was causing mini waves in the bath and everything.

41 weeks today. No sign of anything happening. Yet more mucus, yet more braxton hicks. No proper contractions but bump is really hard and uncomfortable, and I've got that bowling-ball-in-the-fanjo feeling I keep hearing about. DH snapped at me over something really trivial (the poor man's been a saint the last 9 months, but he has his limits) and I just dissolved into a snivelling mess. For most of the afternoon Blush I also nearly burst into tears when my BM phoned me. If it had been anyone else I would probably have been grumpy, but I hadn't spoken to her for a while and I was soo pleased when I saw her name come up on my mobile that I welled up! What a tit.

That's interesting MrsVidic. Right, I'm off to bed [grabs DH and birthing ball]

Thank you for all the kind comments. Beautiful DD arrived by emcs last night but we're both doing grand and she's asleep on my chest as I secretly type thus on phone! Good luck to you all and for the record, I put it all down to bouncing on birthing ball watching Wimbledon!

prolificwillybreeder · 26/06/2011 07:40

Aw congratulations Poppy! Hope you are both doing well.
Hurray our first baby! Time for cake :)

Hope the emcs went well and you recover quickly. Aw newborn cuddles, there is just nothing like it! Hope you get some good tea and toast :)
Does DD have a name? Obviously understand if you don't want to share

Congratulations poppy. You've restored my faith that it will happen!

I hope you recover well from the Cs. Just make sure you don't overdo things ok. Take care.

Darlingdamsel · 26/06/2011 08:46

Poppy, congrats! I am so pleased for you!

(and happy to know this will end sooner than later - as I woke up at 3 am with a cramp in my leg that is so rock solid I am barely hobbling. Charming isn't it)

JimmyChoo17 · 26/06/2011 08:51

nicolamumof3 · 26/06/2011 13:10

Huge congratulations to you Poppy, lovely news xx

SpannerPants · 26/06/2011 13:12

Congratulations Poppy! (goes to bounce on ball for the rest of the day in the hope of something happening...)

kalo12 · 26/06/2011 13:27

Twit · 26/06/2011 16:47

yippee poppy brilliant news.
mmm, 'tis rather warm isn't it?

smellyeli · 26/06/2011 19:49

Congratulations to poppy - hope it's all going really well.
No action here - and no lottery win either - pah.
Up until 2.30am with sciatica and reflux watching glasto. DH has been out from 11am - 5.45pm (can you tell I was watching the clock?) so me and the 2 DC's have been trying not to kill each other..... DD wanted to play dollies outside which I find incredibly knackering (lots of taking them for walks up and down the road, pretending they've run off etc.) but very cute. DS has been to the bike track with a neighbour - very kind of them! - but I was very ready for DH to return.
Have never tried any birthing ball action - may suggest it later. Wondering if watching One Born Every Minute repeats on More4 is not a good plan?

MrsVidic · 26/06/2011 20:18

badgerwife- my bump is small and violent too, she really dances in there

Re the birthing ball sex: if you make the ball quite squishy then it sort of absorbs the bump- it works as the semen is in a great shot of the cervix apperantly

I put up my moses basket today while wilting in this bloody heat! 4 ice pops down 2 to go!

I know I have ages to go as the baby isnt down yet !

mookickkick · 26/06/2011 20:24

Great news poppy. I ought to get back on my birthing ball (not for the sex though!)...

MotherPanda · 26/06/2011 23:36

Well done Poppy! (Munches on a HUGE piece of cake)

MummyTigger · 27/06/2011 00:05

37+0 and BLOODY SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYTHING!

Sorry...... having a tough few days!

6 days of constipation followed by two days of toilet-splattering (sorry about the TMI...!)
Piles.
Under-boob sweat that's getting out of bloody control
Restless legs.
Sciatica.
Insomnia to the point where I'm passing out in front of my TV at 3am.
Waking up every 75 minutes.
Hot flashes.
Cankles and sausage-fingers.
Breathing pain.
Back pain.
Knee pain.
Stomach pain.
Bladder pain.
Head pain.
Bump pain.

Anyone else just sitting there, thinking "I'm fucking well full term, this baby is driving me mental - just induce me already!"

Doesn't help that baby is measuring at 41weeks - so I'm giving birth to a bloody monster that will live on my tit for the next 2 years lol!

buttonmoon78 · 27/06/2011 05:36

Phew - one more day of heat then hopefully it'll be a bit cooler!

I too have under boob sweat and trouble removing my lenses. Then (lenses not boob related) I have copious quantities of eye snot in the mornings... Hmm

I knwo I'm way behind some of you (only 35+3) but feeling every minute of it. Got consultant appt on Wednesday for positioning scan (duh - I can tell you where every damn bit of it is without a scan) and date setting for either section or induction - YAY!

Spent a good hour on Sat pm sat on recliner at in laws with them and dh wetting themselves over the gymnastics going on in my belly. Funniest thing was, I nearly wet myself too being hoofed repeatedly in the bladder Grin

Darlingdamsel · 27/06/2011 09:34

Trying to sleep in the hellish hot weather last night was fun, wasn't it?

(praying for snow)

prolificwillybreeder · 27/06/2011 09:41

Hurray for setting a date button hope the scan goes well. By 35 weeks I was fed up too!
It was blooming hot last night and today it's only 9:35 and I'm boiling. Just put DS in a baby grow today, think it's too hot to go to the park. DP is going for a curry tonight- a night out and a curry! I think it's me who needs both of those things! But oh no I'm stuck in a hot apartment with a nearly 1 year old waiting for a washing machine engineer to look at the machine.
And I've still not had this baby! Might get some clary sage this week.
Sorry for my whinge!
