Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

Gosh Jimmy that is dredful! I hope you get some rest tonight in case they do induce you. But more importantly I hope it gets a move on swiftly! The sooner the little one is here, the better.

Relatively I guess I can't complain, but I so exhausted and uncomfortable that I just want this baby out. Possible induction next week, but really - what is he waiting for?!

(and it feels like he is biting areas that are so shocking that I cannot spell them out. What IS he doing?!)

JimmyChoo17 · 19/07/2011 22:01

darling lol maybe he is chewing his way out?

Pleased being assessed. Not so pleased that won't be immediate fix and I'll be having at least another night of this pain again :(

Can't believe how full the hospital has been this week. I'm sure if went naturally would get in the new MW unit I was planning. Right now I couldnt give a s@!t where this baby is born as long as it comes out NOW!!

JimmyChoo17 · 19/07/2011 22:02

I meant I wouldn't get in not that I would! X

witches · 19/07/2011 22:31

Gosh its been a busy wee thread today! Congrats again to people who have made it through! Im still waiting and also had a painful day due to pelvis. I am secretly hoping it might mean babys head getting into position for sweep tomorrow. It is very wrong that i am looking forward to the possibility of having hands put up my lady parts! Just want it over now! Best wishes for ur visit jimmy.

Darlingdamsel · 19/07/2011 22:43

Jimmy .... eeewwww

My sweep in on Monday if he doesn't make an entrance naturally.

Wouldn't that be lovely? Like tonight? We can always dream.

JimmyChoo17 · 19/07/2011 23:49

Nobody pinch us out of that dream! feel like something is about to drop out my fanjo right now mind...

Started to fall into a lovely sleep next to hubby only to be woken by this awful pain again.....so back on the sofa it is for me.....it's easier to sleep as can wriggle about and sleep sat up when needed rather than hubby turfing me out I should add! I was hoping we'd enjoy these last nights just us 2 snuggled up but no chance....

A thought has occurred to me....what if the pain is this bad because baby's head is so big? I hope not!!!

I always thought I had good child bearing Hips but I guess not....

Am clock watching now........roll on the morning....

JimmyChoo17 · 20/07/2011 00:01

Oh my life.......Hiccups in my already painful hips. What the hell have I done to upset this baby? I'm def taking this personally now...

nicolamumof3 · 20/07/2011 03:39

Oh dear jimmy hope you've managed some sleep I'm sleeping a couple hours at a time not to bad mw just did my obs. Babys head still high and as waters been leaking nearly 24hrs now they will call labour ward first thing to get me down fir examination break rest of waters and induction. So best try for some more sleep now x

JimmyChoo17 · 20/07/2011 05:36

Good luck nic! Managed a few naps but nothing longer than 15 mins! My bump is real sore now so it's got 3 hours left to think about doing something!

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 20/07/2011 08:11

My dogs were clearing lying the little bastards, nothing even vaguely looking imminent. Seeing consultant this evening, hoping to get some answers on how next week goes (due Sunday) as he's not letting me go more than a week over. He's going to be bombarded with questions tonight!

Nicplus1and1baking · 20/07/2011 08:12

Morning ladies, hope are we all this morning?
Jimmy i slept sat up almost for 2 weeks at the end with dd1 due to pains in my back turned out she was back to back and no one had picked up on it.

Well am off this morning for mw to get her industrial size brush up there for a sweep Grin

Hope to read some good new updates later

nicolamumof3 · 20/07/2011 09:13

That's me leaving ante natal off to delivery suite for induction shitting myself now about cord prolapse they are breaking waters and drip straight away apparently shall I ask for epidural immediately?!

JimmyChoo17 · 20/07/2011 10:11

Erm I'm probaly not the one to ask as I'm thinking yes!!!

If I can't do my water birth then epi all the way!!!

Bad sign tho....hubby was driving my car and it broke down!!

Induction all booked for the morning. Shitting myself before I've even started :)

Darlingdamsel · 20/07/2011 10:38

I question why I even tried to sleep. I am exhausted as every position I tried last night was painful and BH are starting to make me feel kind of ill.

I just took a long soak and put lovely smelly cream everywhere I could reach ... who knew the end phase would be so unhappy.

On the plus side - at least he has stopped chewing!

Good luck Nic and Jimmy. Hope today is the end of one phase and beginning of something beautiful.

JimmyChoo17 · 20/07/2011 11:11

darling I hear ya! I was so excited about meeting baby but this week has just been awful. The first and second trimester were awful for me but the third trimester i have felt mostly great!

I feel better knowing induction booked but all my ideas about a nice water birth in the midwifeunit have gone out of the window. I just simply couldn't have gone on any longer in this pain. At least once I go onto the next phase...actual labour....it'll be pain to meet my little one. Am scared something will be wrong....or medical intervention. Hope I'm doing the right thing. I'm really questioning myself now but that must be natural. Didn't help that there was a woman in labour throwing up uncontrollably and screaming head off.....

So how soon can u ask for an epidural then?

Darlingdamsel · 20/07/2011 11:30

I think you can ask for an epidural before they even put the drip in, but hearing a woman throw-up uncontrollably and screaming her head off would unnevre anyone! Gosh.

Best of wishes that it all goes smoothly and that the SPD clears up quickly thereafter. And a ((hug)) for good measure

Nicplus1and1baking · 20/07/2011 11:56

Update - been for sweep really wasnt bad at all, she said it was mushy Confused so softening and approx 2-3 cm dialated not sure if that actually means much lol

minicorrect · 20/07/2011 12:17

Good luck all - hope there will be some new babies by the time I go to bed tonight!!

Jimmy with DD I was told I had to have a drip to speed up my contractions and as it would make them more painful would also need an epidural. I too had planned a waterbirth in the birth centre but ended up in the labour suite on my back with constant monitoring (and a poor little back to back baby trying to turn round against gravity!). Not what I wanted at all, but the relief of holding her in my arms at the end of it all was worth all the heartache in the run up to that moment. Even now, when she gives me a cuddle or a kiss, I still think back to that time and am so grateful to have such a precious gift despite everything that happened. It really is worth all this and more and hopefully within hours, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I really hope that once things get going for you they go smoothly and you're holding your LO very soon. Lots of luck and take care xx

aStarInStrangeways · 20/07/2011 13:29

Nicplus1 good luck, hope this means thing will start off for you shortly.

nicola really hoping you are holding your baby by now! Ask for whatever pain relief you need.

Jimmy I am glad for your sake that they've agreed to induce you tomorrow, the pain sounds just horrendous :( minicorrect is absolutely right, it's all worth it when you hold your brand new baby in your arms :)

Darlingdamsel ouch at the chewing Grin I'm sure my DS actually broke my waters with his long pointy fingernails; he was going berserk in the womb and there was this sharp stabbing feeling, then WHOOSH! Fluid all over the place.

Who else is waiting around then? Still no developments chez Star, lots of wriggling but no sign that she wants to make an appearance Hmm Come on baby, I want to meet you!

witches · 20/07/2011 15:18

Im 2cm dilated woohoo! Had my sweep which was totally fine, hed engaged and bit of a show lets hope we might be getting somewhere! Goin for a rest in case it starts tonight fingers crossed!

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 20/07/2011 15:19

Funny how little you remember: getting some really sharp period-like pains, but like my uterus is normal sized if that makes sense - it's just right down at the business end, no associated backache, whole abdo going solid or anything.

Could this be kick off? I honestly can't remember - I know it's not contractions because they're not nearly painful enough, but I never had BHs with DD so don't know if that's what they are.

Feeling like a proper moron now Confused

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 20/07/2011 22:19

Have been for consultant appt, all worries allayed about how I want the VBAC to go, and finite date of 2nd (possibly 4th, but 99.9% it'll be 2nd) August agreed for ELCS if nothing else has happened by then. Sooooo glad the end is in sight, even if 2nd August feels AGES away right now!

He also did a sweep, which I never got with DD (despite begging for one) and he was confident in his abilities. Said that odds of going into labour after a sweep are 1 in 8 - his record was significantly better he said (although he wasn't specific...) Had phenomenal backache since he did it, so we'll see what happens!

Darlingdamsel · 21/07/2011 00:02

Sigh ... I know its midnight. I should be in bed. But what is the point? I won't sleep and it will be painful to lay in a position for more than 5 minutes.

A sweep sounds great now Trina, I hope it leads somwhere!

nicolamumof3 · 21/07/2011 03:41

Isla-Rose was born last night at 18.16 8lb 9oz very speedy 4cm to birth in 40mins no time for epidural still can't get over I have a daughter after three boys!

TrinaLuciusMalfoy · 21/07/2011 07:53

Damsel Yeah - spent the night on tenterhooks waking up at Every. Little. Twinge. Dumbass consultant getting my hopes up. Still pregnant, only now I'm pregnant and cranky. And more uncomfortable, but not because I'm in labour. And DH snored. ALL night. Angry

nicola OOOH, congratulations Grin
