Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

Go Spanner! Smile. I am pretty sure I could not cope with 17 hours at home. Impressed but hope that it has all come to a lovely, warm, cuddly end by now.

I hit 39 weeks today. OMG get this baby OUT of me. I am serious. I am so tired of being pregnant and uncomfortable. And I really want to meet my little guy. Sigh ...

Its funny really, I never understood why women at the last stage of pregnancy whinged so much. I get it now. Horribly.

So please let baby, come out and play!

buttonmoon78 · 14/07/2011 10:19

This was on our ante natal thread from Spanner:
Baby Harris, weight 7lb 10, born at 2.24am on 14/7/11 after 26hrs labour - managed with tens until 7cm then g&a, turned to OP at the last minute and wouldn't come out despite 3hrs pushing! Ended up with spinal and (successful) manual rotation and trial of forceps with episiotomy. Both knackered but v happy!

Am very much looking forward to tomorrow (in a scared kind of way!). Currently sat here eating my last bit of Haagen Dazs ice cream. I don't want it to go to another home whilst in hospital do I?!

Right - off to hang the washing out Smile

aStarInStrangeways · 14/07/2011 10:32

Hooray for Spanner! :)

pwb if you are anywhere near me (Sutton) I would be glad of some heavily pregnant company.

Had a manic busy day yesterday: toddler group in the morning, made falafels with DS for lunch, then got train into town with DS so that we could meet DH after work - slightly complex childcare arrangement that has enabled me to attend a series of support group meetings, it all worked out great but is very tiring! Went to my group and didn't get home till 10pm, then had crap night's sleep due to DS falling out of bed/being harassed by greedy cats/insistently full bladder. So now DS and I are still in our pyjamas and zoning out in front of screens Blush Mummy fail.

mumblebum · 14/07/2011 11:01

Cake time! Baby boy arrived at 7.41am after 5 hrs labour with g&a. All good.

Good luck everyone.

Orbinator · 14/07/2011 11:05

Well done to Spanner! Phew, exhausted at the thought of 17hrs tho Confused

Hopefully this will be my last day of freedom. Therefore I fully intend lazing in bed, followed by a debaucherous lunch (unfortunately no chocolate in house Shock as I munched a while large bag of Malteasers last night watching Apprentice!) possibly followed by more lazing in bed and reading of a book with some MN surfing for good measure.

Let's face it, gonna hopefully be the last time in a long while!

aStarInStrangeways · 14/07/2011 11:06

mumble that is great news! So pleased for you :) Grin

Good luck Orb, and Envy of your lazy day ahead.

buttonmoon78 · 14/07/2011 11:18

Good news Mumble! And a nice quick labour!

Darlingdamsel · 14/07/2011 12:23

Wow Mumble and Spanner. Great news!

nicolamumof3 · 14/07/2011 12:44

congrats to mumble and spanner.

I feel really tired again today. I think baby has dropped had quite a few comments that bump has 'changed' apparently at toddler group just now.

Im debating whether to do more cleaning/washing/ironing etc to prepare for baby's arrival or just sleep. Suddenly now im on my own feel shattered.

buttonmoon78 · 14/07/2011 12:51

Sleep! Every time!

Nicplus1and1baking · 14/07/2011 13:06

Congratulations for the new arrivals Smile

I have hit die date 2day and would have loved to have been in the 5% that arrive on due date - no such luck lol

Well battled in the bath last night to shave my legs and have just had my hair done today so would be a perfect day to have a baby Grin

Have actually slept ok for the last few nights he mp doesnt seem to be as uncomfortable for some reason.

Hope everyone ok 2day x

prolificwillybreeder · 14/07/2011 14:17

Hurray for mumble and spanner!
fantastic news!
I'm also having a lazy day this end too. It's only 2pm and I'm bored already! We've napped and had lunch and read stories and done puzzles...you get the idea! Could go for a walk but I'm just not sure I have the energy. The buggy is very heavy to lift out the car.
Late pregnancy is so much harder than I thought when you already have dc!
nicplus1 happy due date! Really hope it kicks off! I'm planning on bathing and grooming tomorrow night with a glass of Rose :)
Nicola I'm exhausted too, I'd love to think it's a sign.
star boo, I'm sadly a few hours south of Sutton :( us heavily pregnant women need to stick together!
orb, damsel, button hope you're all ok.
Sorry if I've missed anyone.
Is anyone else measuring a cm or 2 out?
I'm so bored :( I still could have 15 days, if i have to be induced of this 15

MummyTigger · 14/07/2011 14:30

4 days until my due date, and it doesn't look like this baby is going to be anywhere near on time. Oh well, at least I have Harry Potter to look forward to tomorrow!

And congratulations Mumble and Spanner :D I'm hoping everything is going well with you xxxx

nicolamumof3 · 14/07/2011 16:35

oh PWB i meant to answer you on your measureing question. It is not an exact given tbh. Depends very much on lay of baby and time of day and all sorts so i wouldn't worry or automatically take it as sign you will go over.

Im feeling strangely ok, think more comfortable now too, weird that isn't it.

you never know nic+1 several hours to go til midnight Wink

prolificwillybreeder · 14/07/2011 17:10

Thanks Nicola :)
I just moved my pelvis awkwardly as I got up and did something to a nerve- pins and needles down there- Ow!

JimmyChoo17 · 14/07/2011 19:12

....no gloves? For the sweep? Is that allowed?

Darlingdamsel · 14/07/2011 19:18

I could cry ..

For two days I have literally sat at the hospital doing all kinds of tests because of an issue I have and well - it seems suddenly to have become a problem ... at 39 weeks.

Anyway, they did all kinds of tests to figure out the severity and what the best plan of action is. After all that, the perscribe me antibiotics and will induce me in exactly 2 weeks. (Ironically the issue will sort itself out the moment I have a baby ... so I have to say I pushed a bit for an immediate induction to no avail).

Well I just got my prescription filled - am allergic to penicillin - and the antibiotics they gave me are pencicillin based ... so I can't even take the dang things even though its urgent.

I don't want to back tonight (or ever for that mattter), I am tired and now can't even deal with it. Sigh ... lets hope the baby comes tonight as that would solve it all.

Please ... :(

MummyTigger · 14/07/2011 19:19

I bloody doubt it. She was also in desperate need of a manicure, the idiot woman. Have mentioned how unhappy I am to my MW and she's going to be having words. Thank God!

Got another consultant appointment on Wednesday and I think I'm going to specifically request anyone who ISN'T her.

Orbinator · 14/07/2011 19:21

Jimmy no, it is foul and against regs I'm sure. I'll be checking mine gets hers firmly strapped on tomorrow morning! Any ideas where would be best to do it? I'm thinking on my bed on a towel in case any waters go or anything...is that likely?

So much for my day of doing nothing! Started well but then I ended up emptying all of the bins - recycling day tomorrow - and the main kitchen bin which in turn leaked on the floor so I had to mop the kitchen and hallway. Then decided that if all goes to plan tomorrow I will want clean fresh sheets on the bed as i've been sweaty with heat this week. Plus I only have one bed set atm as I got my new superking bed only last week...so that's in the wash and will need drying. Also went over the bathroom quickly again and bleached the loo as well as cleaning the hob and kettle and toaster...hmmm. Last minute panic nesting methinks! Just wish I could be arsed be less bulky so I'd feel up to the hoovering. Stairs are covered in hair Shock.

Also does anyone think the MW will be annoyed at me if there isn't much in my fridge? I've got 3 pints milk, cheese, eggs, ham, chorizo, lettuce, lemons and mixed peppers but it looks really empty as I was trying to use up stuff that would go off so I can move onto the freezer meals...I made her cake anyway so hopefully that will distract her Grin.

Come on 11:30 tomorrow! It better bloody work!

Orbinator · 14/07/2011 19:26

oh Darling! (Blackadder moment!)
So sorry to hear that. I was told I had e-coli UTI (3rd time in pg) and that might mean emergency transfer to get baby out if it had spread to my kidneys. As soon as baby was out I could then take the stronger antiB's but she only had one other that would work. Luckily for me her test was wrong and when we sent off my specimen to the lab it came back clear. So I can empathise with you a little on the scary feeling when you are suddenly told it's not going to be the way you wanted... I really hope you get the right prescription - can they not send it to the pharmacy any more? I'm sure they used to do that for OAP's? Then you could just collect it by car tonight/tomorrow?

Hope you get it resolved. Try to rest and I'm sure you'll feel more positive tomorrow.

aStarInStrangeways · 14/07/2011 19:43

Darling that really, really sucks :( How crap of them to give you the wrong antibiotics as well.

Orb I too have had the unfamiliar feeling of being pissed off that i don't have the energy to clean Confused It's not usually a problem that I can't be arsed to clean under the fridge etc. Bloody nesting has a lot to answer for.

Am exhausted today anyway, after yesterday's manicness. Leg pain has moved from left to right leg and hip, hooray Hmm Still, DH has offered to make dinner so it's not all bad :)

MummyTigger · 14/07/2011 19:46

Brew for Darling!
That's dreadful :( I hope everything gets sorted out.

And the trapped nerves are just becoming part and parcel of everyday life now to be honest. I'm constantly dosing on paracetamol - not that it helps of course! :(

I've been driving everyone mad in my house. Been shifting between keeping everything obsessively clean and not bothering to clean for days - I feel a bit slovenly for it... but then I get my manic Doris Day moments too when I just want to rush about in a pinny baking cookies and making sure everything is spotless.

Darlingdamsel · 14/07/2011 20:02

Ladies thank you ...

I am going to wait until the morning and then go see my doctor and see if she can give me something different.

It will just have to wait, but really fustrating ... much more than it should be.

This baby really needs to come out.

nicolamumof3 · 14/07/2011 20:32

Darling that sounds awful hope your doc manages to sort it in the morning.

to whomever asked, I had my last sweep just like that on a towel on the bed! Think went into labour less than 12hrs later so good luck. And don't know about hb but do mw's expect to be fed too? who by your birthing partner? surely don't expect you to stop and make them a cuppa and a sarnie do they?!

I must chase up my docs as had everything going in my urine last week at mw's protein, ketones, blood etc. So said looked like a UTI sent off sample over a week ago but not heard. It is a bit painful going to the loo, so who knows must chase that one up.

JimmyChoo17 · 14/07/2011 20:40

Just been looking and it's totally against regs and illegal from what I can see? It's Internet info but so many references say so. Not to mention erong in case you transfer germs! I'm mortified for you!

nic my rsults came back clear...srill got that odd pulling feeling and weeing lots more but not painful to pee. Mind u my results have been mucked up so many times u never know with my drs...!
