Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

Well I never made it back for my second outpatients appointment - it was contractions I was feeling when I posted last, and we went into the hospital at approx 7.30pm, where they told me I was 4-5 cms dilated. My beautiful DS was born early on Friday morning. He's totally worth all the discomfort of late pregnancy! Grin

Good luck to the rest of you, I hope your babies don't keep you waiting too long!

kalo12 · 03/07/2011 00:19

congrats serenajoy. i have got tonsilitis now and don't know if i could cope with a birth tonight!

mumblebum · 03/07/2011 05:04

Congratulations SerenaJoy!

Yes it is 5am and I am wide awake, mutter mutter.

Darlingdamsel · 03/07/2011 06:43

Serena - that is awesome news!

I still have a couple more weeks and am that is ok as it just seems like I am unable to relax. I am being driving meanly by the nesting bug and creating havoc in the process. I even broke my sofa in half by trying to remove the covers!! Now I know I am 25 pounds heavier than usual, but who could have thought?! I sat on the floor and cried until I started to laugh ... gosh.

Luckily Ikea - when shown the pictures by a heaviliy preg woman who cried - agreed to replace it, but it won't arrive until Tuesday and only then can I madly clean the living room (and I REALLY want to).

And I was up at 5 am too ...

Does anyone else's pelvic bones click when you try to roll over in bed. Ewww ...

LadyGoneGaga · 03/07/2011 06:49

Congratulations, SerenaJoy!

nicolamumof3 · 03/07/2011 07:31

Congratulations Serenajoy!

YodaisaCat · 03/07/2011 07:35

Hello, can I join please? I am 41 + 1 today and have been awake since 5 because I have my son's cold and was also kicked awake by the bump. Am starting to think I will be pregnant forever. Although that isn't true because I will be induced on Wednesday if it hasn't started by then, which I'm terrified by. Am also worried that the baby might go back to back. Had an 'easy' labour with DS and have been assuming it will be the same this time until a few weeks ago when I remembered that each baby and labour is different. Am in weird situation of wanting to bring on the labour because I'm so sick of being vastly pregnant and also slightly dreading the labour and the post-labour pain. I need to be reminded that it's all worth it, and I feel guilty for not looking forward to meeting my second child as much as I was with my first.

MummyTigger · 03/07/2011 10:06

SerenaJoy Congratulations!! I hope you and the baby are all enjoying eachothers company :) Sending love and hugs and praying I'm next

And I'm with DarlingDamsel. Pelvic bones haven't stopped clicking since week 32, and it's driving me mad! I sound like a bowl of Rice Crispies.

Darlingdamsel · 04/07/2011 07:26

Ugh! Left leg is totally in a mean mood as I flexed in my sleep last night and it immediately because a full on cramp that no amount of massaging will loosen. I find it really strange, I am a banana addict and drink like a fish ... but its the third time this has happened.

If I wasn't waiting for my new sofa, I would be calling 'come on down baby' ...

Getting fed up.

mumblebum · 04/07/2011 10:29

Morning all. Who else is still here waiting? I'm now 39+4 which is when DD arrived, DS arrived at 39+1, so as of tomorrow I'll be the most pregnant I have ever been! Despite plenty of BH there's still no sign of an imminent arrival. I've a horrible feeling this one will be overdue! Everything is ready for it to arrive now so sods law says it won't! I am sooo grumpy. Everything is annoying me but I'm biting my tongue.

Frankie000 · 04/07/2011 11:09

Im still waiting mumblebum, due weds and completely fed up. Having constant bh, and babys so low i can hardly move, cant understand how Im still pregnant!!! Its too hot I just want this over with now

kalo12 · 04/07/2011 12:23

I am 39+1, too hot, got rotten tonsilitus and my house purchase has just fallen through. Is a little bit of bloody rain too much to ask for?

mumblebum · 04/07/2011 12:40

Sorry to hear about the house kalo that must be a major stress you could do without.

Darlingdamsel · 04/07/2011 12:59

I just ate a whole tub of Haggen Dazs and feel much better.

:)

((hug)) to all you ladies out there.

Badgerwife · 04/07/2011 17:25

Grr, head still not engaged. I thought I'd get to 37 weeks, have one mug of raspberry leaf tea and the baby would just drop off Grin
There are enough threads about overdue babies that I should know by now that first babies are late, but hey, I like(d) my rose tinted glasses...

nicolamumof3 · 04/07/2011 17:38

i am so so tired, cannot sleep been up since 4.30 everything is irritating me!! Am ready for this now! tho only just ordered changing mat this afternoon in mothercare, and still have no carrycot! 38+2 could have weeks to go yet. deep joy.

camerafairy · 04/07/2011 17:43

hello can i join in? I'm 38 + 6 - but we all know that could go on longer!
i'm feeling irritable, scared and impatient, and can't sleep as i get too hot and my SPD means i can't turn over without a painful crunching.... i'm soooo scared :(

SpannerPants · 04/07/2011 18:01

I'm absolutely shattered despite sleeping reasonably well, and very hot and bothered. I'm 39+1 and none of my maternity clothes fit properly anymore so my bump hangs out of the bottom of all my tops, I feel like a tramp! And I really want to meet the baby now - hurry up!!

buttonmoon78 · 04/07/2011 18:19

I feel like a tramp too only it's not my bump hanging out - it's my bump covered in tubigrip Grin. I think it's a classy look!

MummyTigger · 04/07/2011 18:23

I know your pain, SpannerPants

Even my build-like-a-brick-shithouse stepdad's teeshirts which are a mens large/x-large don't fit! The bottom of my bump always ends up peeking through like some horrendous stretchmarked eyeball trying to see the world. It's disgusting and am currently hating myself for it Sad

38weeks dead-on today, and baby feels like it's going to fall out at any time. I'm sure the sod is fully engaged!

aStarInStrangeways · 04/07/2011 19:08

Hello, can I join in? 36 weeks today, have very lively almost-3yo DS as well...I'm knackered.

Have also been diagnosed with gestational diabetes which has added an extra layer of stress, confusion and rage to everything. My head is spinning with trying to sort out how I feel about it all. I just want my baby here safely and this all to be over!

At least the GD means they'll be hassling me for induction at 40 weeks if not before. I'm torn between refusing on principle and asking for it now tbh Grin

mumblebum · 04/07/2011 19:16

I think I'll join you in the melodramatic wailing. I've really had enough now! I know just how you feel about induction vs staying pg for even longer. Although they're only talking about inducing me at 41 weeks, I'd kinda like it now please!

camerafairy · 04/07/2011 19:33

can i ask a totally naiive question... i'm going to anyway... whats so bad about being induced?

mumblebum · 04/07/2011 19:48

It can lead to a more painful labour and higher risk of intervention. I think it depends on how ready to go you are anyway though.

camerafairy · 04/07/2011 20:00

thanks mumble, didn't know that, i'm not due for 8 days so i'm not over yet, i just wasn't sure why induction appeared a bad thing. i'll take a few more bounces on the birthing ball and drink some more rasberry leaf tea...
