Labour must be close because not only am I absolutely starving, exhausted but unable to sleep let alone well!
But I swear if DP's elbow touches my arm one more time I will throttle him!
I cannot stand anyone near me and nearly everything is driving me mad with misery.
I am also highly emotional.

Come moan with me, please bring warm donuts Grin

Have been getting some strong BH here. I'm hoping it's all warming up for the main event. I do need to hold off until at least Sunday night though. Got an outing planned for DD's birthday! Deliberately kept it small so easy to cancel but don't want to have to do that to her.

sydneysuze · 29/06/2011 15:12

Oh congrats Tadd! Great news! Come on the babies.

I'mm v v Envy as I had contractions between 9 and 1am last night then nada! When oh when is MiniSyd coming??? Saw midwife this am, heartbeat all fine, she sent us off for more Active Husband Involvement to avoid induction - is it me or does it feel a bit strange being ordered to do that? Much more fun than a sweep obv but my poor DH was there for this appt and he was a bit pink round the ears by the end.

With DD I had none of this stop start business it was just contractions, labour, baby - very nice thank you.

PWB you have gone a bit quiet - really hope it's all started for you

sydneysuze · 29/06/2011 15:13

Ooops! Sorry, pregbrain, I meant congrats Twit Blush

Glitterybits · 29/06/2011 15:48

I'll join you. 36 weeks, but measuring 38. I know that doesn't really mean anything, but I don't seem to make small babies if DS is anything to go by. I have been much better physically this time around, but I'm hideously moody and impatient with everyone and everything. Oh, and sleep? What sleep? I keep dozing off only to wake up on my back with hideous pressure and breathlessness and the heat is not helping. Poor DH can't do right for doing wrong and, whilst I know I'll miss the bump in a few weeks, I can't help but be irrationally angry with the booting my baby is giving me and that awful headbutt to the cervix sensation. I'm a bit over it all now, quite frankly, but a bit nervous about the labour bit. Had a very long-winded birth with DS, so hoping to halve the five days I was in labour last time around! Hmm

mumblebum · 29/06/2011 16:01

Oohhh I missed that earlier! Congratulations Twit. I hope the milk comes soon for you.

Hello Glitterybits I measured 41 weeks at 38 so kind of expecting a big one here too. I'm less than 5ft tall so it's a bit worrying...

tadd · 29/06/2011 16:09

Congratulations twit! Im not jealous at all so happy to hear you have had your wonderful arrival!

SerenaJoy · 29/06/2011 16:54

Congratulations twit! Yay, more cake! (As if I need an excuse!)

I love the term Active Husband Involvement sydneysuze! Grin You're right though, it does feel slightly weird to be told to do that by a HCP. Probably more so for the husbands!

I've not been able to summon up the energy but might give it a go tonight (if I can erase the memory of my kindly, middle aged midwife recommending hot sex), as I'm getting induced first thing tomorrow. I've given up saying 'unless something happens before then' because I don't think it's going to now! Sad

I'll be an outpatient, thankfully, so I get to go home afterwards - very relieved about that part of it. Unfortunately it means my hopes of a cloak-and-dagger labour in the dead of night, and a lovely early morning announcement, have been blown out of the water!

Oh well, at least the end is in sight...

Badgerwife · 29/06/2011 16:57

I had my first Braxton Hicks yesterday evening. It was the only interesting thing that happened yesterday, it hasn't taken me long to be utterly bored of watching daytime tv. bored bored bored, and not enough energy to do anything (well, I did a bit of washing up, but couldn't face mopping the floor - and it doesn't qualify as 'interesting')

prolificwillybreeder · 29/06/2011 17:18

still here all! Thanks for thinking of me :)
Nothing is happening at all and I am utterly fed up!
Went for a long walk today, nothing!
Have got a bit of headache that won't budge but minus that nothing!

Congratulations Twit, it was so, so hot! Hope all is well with you and mini twit. Hope the inlaw visit goes ok. I sympathise entirely! I gave birth at 12am came home at 2pm had DP's parents and his step mother and father all by 6pm. PWB has learnt her lesson this time!

treehugga · 29/06/2011 17:26

PWB, I know I was wrong before but this time I am certain that your headache is a definite sign. You'll be on your way in a trice.

mumblebum · 29/06/2011 18:07

BH getting more regular. I wonder how long this is going to go on for.

tadd · 29/06/2011 18:16

Good luck Mumblebum and PWB! I hope things get started for you soon!

prolificwillybreeder · 29/06/2011 21:11

Thanks Tadd and Treehugger.
How we doing Mumblebum?
Still have headache and backache.
All being made slightly worse by a visit from the teething monster, DS is utterly miserable and not sleeping! Call the calpol fairy quick!
Hope everyone is ok

Grin

Woke up this morning and said to DH 'baby feels different'. Got to the scan, saw the most grumpy sonographer you've ever seen, baby is head down, well down in pelvis, LOA.

Was totally Shock

Then went in to see the most lovely registrar who had also had an OP baby and spd so totally understood my 'issues' and am booked in for induction on July 15th. That is 16 days away!

Can't stop Grin

Also, will be seeing anaethetist on arrival for induction to ensure that I can get epi set up immediately even if I never use it.

Grin
mumblebum · 29/06/2011 21:36

Hope the calpol fairy does the trick PWB!

I'm pretty uncomfortable, bouncing on my ball, torn between wanting this baby out NOW and wanting to get through the weekend first!

prolificwillybreeder · 29/06/2011 21:54

Eek! Button! Hurray, hurray!
Mumble, keep bouncing girl! I know everyone says this but if you can sleep, sleep. Sleep alot! I hope I can when it all does finally kick off.
I'm starting to think I'll be induced at this rate as maybe I can't quite go into labour due to having DS about constantly. Yes I am clutching at straws now.

mumblebum · 29/06/2011 22:08

Sounds like what happened to me buttonmoon78 baby turned from breech the morning I went for my 36 wk appointment. I actually saw the big lump of it's bum move across my belly when I was in the car on the way to the hospital. Scan then confirmed it was head down.

Am off the ball now. Can't stay on it too long because it aggravates the SPD. I think the BH are calming down now. Will take some paracetamol soon and head to bed. Baby really not allowed to arrive until after tomorrow. I'm definitely in the danger zone now though. DS arrived at 39+1 and I'm 39 weeks tomorrow!

SerenaJoy · 29/06/2011 22:32

mumblebum I'm suffering with SPD as well, and I thought bouncing on a ball was supposed to help, but it's been making me really sore - thought I was doing it wrong! Glad it's not just me!

loubuch09 · 30/06/2011 08:14

Morning all.
Well Im still here, 9 days over now...this is soo tedious. Raising anxiety levels now as have been given a date for induction of Sunday and am looking up weather reports 22 degrees for Sunday!
Dragged myself round Asda yest only to be in-undated with "aw 8 days over, i was induced at ten had to have emc as he grew to over a stone" bl bla bla ...so very kind of randoms to just add their overdue size of baby stories...like Im not shitting myself enough already! Sob, sob, sob!

mumblebum · 30/06/2011 08:36

Morning, still here too, not that I should moan about that really not having actually reached the due date yet! I feel for you loubuch any signs at all? I was awake in the night having BH again but they faded away.

I've got both kids at home today due to the strike. I'd have had one anyway so not that big a deal I suppose, I just hope they don't argue.

SerenaJoy I find I'm ok on the ball for a short while but if I spend too long on there it's agonising when I get back up again.

kittyf86 · 30/06/2011 09:59

morning all!

over a week overdue now and going crazy! got induction booked for wednesday at 7:30am but really want baby to come before then! I don't appear to be a very patient waiter!!

tadd · 30/06/2011 11:10

Morning all! Couldn't sleep last night with BH, then they vanished at about 2! My poor OH got lynched last night at 12 when i couldn't sleep (he couldn't either) tying to do a spot of home inducing...... thought it might have worked until the BH went away Angry

MummyTigger · 30/06/2011 11:29

18 days til D-Day. 30 days until definitive induction. Why the fucking fuck is time going so bastarding slowly?!

tadd · 30/06/2011 11:34

Ha Ha MummyTigger, you are right, these last few weeks have been going at a snails pace! Ive come to the conclusion that pregnancy is 2 months too long!!!

babyonbord · 30/06/2011 12:55

its definatly a month too long i missed out on this with my first went into labour at 36 weeks ive had enough now starting to be glad i had dvt first time round and will be induced early this time what are the chances of a membrane sweep actually working?
