Hi... so just been confirmed I'm due 10th (ish) of January and would love to get chatting to some others in the same area who are also expecting... As I said In the title that includes those of you due late 2011, as well - it's a very inclusive thread - as long as you'd be able to make some meet ups in Oxfordshire and you're going through some stage of reproduction then you'd be welcome :-)

I know there's at least one more of you out there (ghost - you there?)

Congratulations Sara, lovely name! :)

PenguinArmy · 13/02/2012 13:30

i'm pretty easy, I have less on in the afternoons but nothing I can't miss in the mornings

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 13/02/2012 17:16

I seem ti be going day by day atm. Some are good, some not so much. Afternoons are less busy, but they're also when I try to get some extra sleep so it's a toss up.

I'm not really sure when I'm free at the moment, according to my rota I've not got any weekdays off until my maternity leave in 10 weeks, but I'm trying to negotiate better hours. I'll leave it up to y guys to arrange a meet up and then let you know if I can come. I could do evening meet ups after the 5th of march.

hello all.

poor ds has a cough - at what point do i get worried and take him to the gp? Only if he runs a temp?

OP posts:
ghosteditor · 19/02/2012 22:57

I think I'd go if his lungs sound rattly, or if he had a temp, or if he's bringing anything up (esp if it's not clear coloured). He's only tiny so the GP will probably be sympathetic. Sorry to hear that though, poor little chap.

livealoha · 19/02/2012 23:46

I'd take him in the morning Cakes they always say with a new born just to get them checked out. Hope he's better soon x

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 20/02/2012 02:24

He's been more sicky than usual, but not coughing anything up and his temp is normal... I think i'll see how he is in the morning. I'm getting fed up of pestering the gp.

How's the little man doing cakes?

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 22/02/2012 06:41

Much much better now, thank you. Had a really good night last night, no waking himself up by coughing! I actually got to spend some time in my own bed!

Hello pregnant ladies and little people who have arrived. Smile

I am about 9 weeks so was wondering if this thread had room for a new burst of pregnant Oxfordshire ladies!

ghosteditor · 27/02/2012 08:54

Hello msinterpret, I think we definitely have room for some more pregnant ladies!

I was also going to suggest another meet up, as I think it's about time! How about next Tuesday, 6 March, in the afternoon, perhaps in Summertown?

livealoha · 27/02/2012 22:48

Sounds like a good idea ghost
Hi msInterpret welcome Smile

PurplePanda · 28/02/2012 14:23

Hi MsInterpret, congrats on your pregnancy

Meet up sounds good, ds is having vaccinations in the morning that day, so may or may not come depending on how grizzly he is afterwards.

Wine Cafe and Barefoot books are nice - maybe barefoot books would be good for the toddlers?

ghosteditor · 28/02/2012 15:14

Barefoot looks great for toddlers - they have a play area.

And really nice cake! Grin

chocolatesparkle · 28/02/2012 15:42

What sort of time are you thinking. I'm at work in the day, but could make it in the evening?

MsInterpret · 28/02/2012 16:09

Thanks for the welcome Smile

I work near Summertown so it's good for me in future but I can't do next week. Hope to make one in the future. Barefoot is great for toddlers - DD (2.3) loves it. Have fun!

chocolatesparkle · 28/02/2012 20:06

Oh, meant to say, hello msinterpret and welcome, nice to have another new face. X

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 02/03/2012 15:07

Can I provisionally say yes, depending on whether this delightful (?) growth spurt is over and baby cakes (and therefore I) am getting some sleep by then...

ghosteditor · 02/03/2012 15:11

Hey ladies, I can still do Summertown next week if people are keen, but we don't seem to have many firm commitments so what do you all reckon? Go ahead or rearrange?

livealoha · 02/03/2012 23:09

Hey ghost, hey ladies
Im sorry but due to my fathers illness I'm not going to be able to make this tue or next : ( could (hopefully) do the one after If it's not to far away for you all?
Have fun if you next week

jesska79 · 03/03/2012 22:47

Hi
Will you ladies post when you have your next meet up?
Jess

ghosteditor · 04/03/2012 09:49

Looks like there's only me confirmed for Tuesday so how about we reschedule?

PurplePanda · 04/03/2012 17:03

Aloha - hope your Dad recovers quickly.
How about reschedule for Tues 20th pm at Barefoot?
Hi Jess, welcome :)
