zambooloo · 28/04/2011 20:04

Hello everyone,
Congrats we made it to the end of our week - so looking forward to weekend! Anyone got any exciting plans for tomorrow? Welcome to newbies, my boobs have been so heavy today and tender! Elle - I feel bad not telling colleagues as well - one of my close friends at work is 4 1/2 months pregnant, was very tricky today not to let a little comment slip out! I feel like I've run a marathon today - I don't feel that tired but my body feels exhausted. Does anyone else feel like that? Had a street party at school today and showed the children the T-Mobile spoof royal wedding video on You-Tube - didn't quite work, they were very confused and were saying 'I thought the wedding was tomorrow, are they married now then?'. Joke was a bit lost on 5 year olds!!

figgygal · 28/04/2011 20:23

I am proper excited about the royal wedding gonna try watch it all day or until DH makes me turn it off.

Question ladies I'm 9 weeks today and eating like a horse to stave off nausea is anyone else the same? Oh and is anyone having cravings yet I have beef on the brain burgers mince steak. Thought it was too early for cravings??

zambooloo · 28/04/2011 20:37

figgygal I'm only 6 1/2 weeks and I'm not feeling sick but I'm feeling so hungry I'd like to be able to eat about once / hour but teaching doesn't really allow for this. I get to about 9.30 and I feel so hungry I have to keep taking some of their snack at playtime (school provided, I don't steal food from the children!)

figgygal · 28/04/2011 20:55

Zambo I'm not feeling sick either really it's metallic taste followed by lightheadedness which then becomes dizziness which then makes me squiffy. Don't envy u I have to eat regularly I've had 2 main meals a day for last 3 days and bits in between Am gonna be huge!!!!!!

rattyratbag · 28/04/2011 22:44

Hi everyone. I have just discovered the thread. I am eight week gone and still nervous as its early days but can't help getting excited. Counting down until the 12 week scan. Started feeling slightly nautous today for the first time - eating made it go away

DarciesmumandBump2 · 29/04/2011 07:55

Ratty Welcome.

Well DP landed in Las Vegas at 10:10pm so i could breathe a sigh of relief he was on the ground and I could sleep better.

Woke up at 6am again for no reason whatsoever, and currently watching Wizard of Oz with DD before heading to my mothers to watch the royal wedding (DD wants to watch it, doesn't bother me in the slightest).

figgygal · 29/04/2011 09:59

Am knee deep in royal wedding today been crying on and off since 9 I could say it's hormones but it's probably not I cry all the time at royal weddings and the great pomp and ceremony.

LivinInTheMoment · 29/04/2011 13:42

I raced home from work to catch it from about 12.30 on. Its been so emmotional!

Figgy I been welling up with tears too, especially when Kate and William kissed on the balcony. Soooo sweet.

BlueCrane · 29/04/2011 14:43

I've not watched any of it yet!! Been avoiding it this morning so I can watch it with DH this afternoon when he's back from work...been cooking up some English delights to have a sofa picnic whilst we watch! Coronation chicken sandwiches and shortbread with strawberries and cream...I'm soooo hungry, hope he's home soon! [csmile]

I got v emotional at The Bee Movie on Monday though which was a bit embarrassing...it's only a cartoon afterall Blush

BlueCrane · 29/04/2011 14:44

PS darcie I'm with you on the early mornings...it's been 4:30am when my brain's kicked into gear most mornings this week...not impressed!!

zambooloo · 29/04/2011 14:46

I managed to keep my tears pretty much under control (well apart from a small outbreak while Kate drove to the abbey and walked up the aisle). Hope you all enjoyed it!! :)

LittleLH · 29/04/2011 14:58

Hi,
Just logged on for the first time and saw this thread.
My OH is away til tomorrow and I have just found out today I'm about 7 weeks pregnant. I had a feeling I was but it was still a shock to see those 2 pink lines!
I was planning on buying some tiny little baby booties and putting them in a bag for when he gets home, then just saying 'ooh,I got you a little pressie!'
He's gonna be over the moon.
I'm so scared though. Feel ILL and I have no experience of babies whatsoever. I've never even changed a nappy!
x

DarciesmumandBump2 · 29/04/2011 15:08

Hey

We watched the Royal Wedding, Her dress was lovely. My mum was a bit annoyed that wills didn't receive a ring, and they didn't have the wedding march on the way out!

LittleH Welcome. Antenatal classes will teach you nappy changing etc. & Congratulations Grin

ElleEW34 · 29/04/2011 20:31

zambooloo That must be very tricky when she's asked/talks about how she's doing!! You must be biting your tongue not to say "me too"!

Darciesmum and figgy I'm up with the birds too! No wonder I need a nap in the early evening!!

Darciesmum - pleased your minds now at rest with DH landed safely.
Figgypal - you royal luncheon sounds yummmmm!

littlelh Congratulations! I found out was 4+2 last Thurs and told my OH by saying I had a pressie and to sit down and close his eyes - put the ClearBlue Digital test in his hand! Took him a minute to actually get it...but I had a J&D on ice in the fridge ready for the shock!!!

Royal wedding was beautiful, shed a little tear I have to say! Thought the dress was stunning. Why didn't he get a ring though? Perhaps Royal males don't wear them???

DarciesmumandBump2 · 29/04/2011 20:42

Elle William didn't want a ring as he already has a 'Royal' signet ring.

rattyratbag · 29/04/2011 20:53

Hi all. I have been at one street partie followed by a garden paty and have come home shattered with a bit of an achey lower left back. I have only recently recovered from 10 months of back spasms after a car accident last year and just hope that my back keeps strong for the next 7 weeks!

I know what you guys mean about early starts, since I found out about specklet I have been waking at 5.30 a.m. on the dot.

rattyratbag · 29/04/2011 20:55

also - know what you girls mean about being tearfu;. I was sobbing last night watching the season finale to The Big C also totally into the Royal wedding!

zambooloo · 29/04/2011 21:10

Love Mumsnet it answers all my questions - both baby related and royal wedding (I wondered why William didn't have a ring too)! Don't think I've ever watched TV for so long and now tuning in to the highlights too!
Welcome LittleLH - so you know your due date? (I'm about 7 weeks too and due on 19th December)
Elle - very tricky at work - so tempted to say something and difficult too as I now obviously have much more knowledge about pregnancy than I did before - people will wonder why I know so much!
Ratty and all other early risers - I'm awake everyday at about 5.30! Had to go back to bed for 3 hours this pm. [csmile]

DarciesmumandBump2 · 30/04/2011 06:29

Well that was a pants night sleep. Thunder & lightening which in turn scared DD so had her in with me. She kept talking in her sleep and fidgeting and I really miss DP :(

Felicific · 30/04/2011 10:49

Hi ladies, hope you're all having a nice weekend? My update: had two lots of bloods taken and hcg rising well, 4000 to 13,000 in a couple of days. Sickness kicked in this morning and sore boobs back so feeling much more hopeful! Might try and get an early scan next week as still spotting. Still sooooo early, only 6 weeks on Tue :)
