Felicific · 26/04/2011 10:38

Morning ladies, thanks for kind words, hope you're all ok? Bluecrane really hope you get sent home so you can put our feet up :)

I'm just waiting now and sporadically searching online for people's experiences! Feeling a little down that don't seem to have symptons as much as I did last week but you can't really read much into that. No bleeding which is good sign. Bit of a bugger we had to tell parents this way but hopefully be able to celebrate after thu - am trying to keep optimistic despite ache free boobs!

TeacupTempest · 26/04/2011 13:09

Thinking of you Felicific. Feeling bit better today. Tiny bit of blood but really tiny so being optimistic. 8 weeks(ish) today.

LauraLoo34 · 26/04/2011 13:23

Hi ladies, hope you're all feeling well / better today. I had my GP appt today. Had to register with a new surgery so it was a lottery as to which doc I'd get but thankfully he was lovely.

Bit disappointing that the appt was so short but sweet!! He put me at 5 weeks with an EDD of 28th Dec (eek!).

Also said he'd do the referral to me to my chosen hospital (thank yoi for your advice on this thread earlier as i had done my research in advance which was good) and said I should hear from the hosp in 10 days with details of my booking appt and scan at 11-14 weeks.

Bit of an anti climax but was still a bag of nerves!!! Shaking like a leaf during/after!!! Just been in Waterstones to get me and the OH some reading materials!

adalle · 26/04/2011 16:31

Well looks like the tadpole is no more they are going to monitor me this week naturally but just a lot of fluid showed up on scan. it was nearly a blood bath in the scan room tbh - sorry tmi.

I am strangely relaxed now all the stress was beforehand and we even joked we might try on purpose next time!! Very tired and still showing positive for pg on all tests so I have to go back for more tests later this week.

I knew I was high risk so don't fret I'm fine peeps. Thx for all your support I am pasting my post on all recent threads I have been on so apologies for duplications. Good luck everyone with your sproglettes who knows I may be back if this accidentally happens on purpose next time !!!

Grin waves, hugs and kisses bye x x x

figgygal · 26/04/2011 17:40

Sorry to hear your sad news adalle best of luck

DarciesmumandBump2 · 26/04/2011 18:17

Adelle sorry to hear your news. Hope you and DH are okay, thinking of you.

Feel shattered and really want a sausage & egg mcmuffin from maccy d's! Mw tomorrow looking forward to that. Other than that all well here.

BlueCrane · 26/04/2011 18:21

darcies I also fancy a trip to maccy d's but for chips...though chicken nuggets or a greasy burger wouldn't go amiss either Smile I came home this afternoon after a brief chat with my boss - basically me saying I felt v rough with cold and that I was going home - he didn't argue so off I went!! Wasn't in the mood for being patient and waiting for the men I work with to actually notice how rough I was feeling and suggest I went home!! Have spent the afternoon in bed trying to read my book in between working out how to breathe through blocked nose and blowing said nose when it switched from blocked to streaming!! All fun...

LauraLoo34 · 26/04/2011 19:46

adalle So sad to hear your latest update. I wish you well for the next tests and lots of luck for "trying on purpose" when the time comes.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 26/04/2011 19:47

Blue hope you feel better soon :)

DP & I have been coming up with baby names he's just looking at my top ten I'll let you know how it goes Grin

zambooloo · 26/04/2011 20:06

Adele - I'm so sorry to hear your news, thinking of you, and wishing you all the best for the future.

Well - 1st day back and I survived - wasn't nearly as tricky as I thought. Not too tired, just had minor backache, the odd twinge and obviously incredibly sore boobs! So glad only 3 day week. Also, my left boob is now bigger than my right - the left hardly fits in my bra, has anyone else experienced this?

Hope everyone got on well at work today and that all the teachers survived - it was funny having this secret around everyone, can't wait for 12th week so I can tell everyone! I'm so bad at keeping secrets!! xx

Wiwa · 26/04/2011 22:50

Thinking of you Adalle. Take it easy.

Yup- back to school today-mind-numbingly dull inset! Felt quite sick for a fair bit of the day because I couldn't eat whenever I wanted... Gonna be interesting! Two people said I looked well and like I had put on weight ( ho-hum...!) I am shocking at keeping secrets and would be the last person to tell myself something big and important like this...! Some other staff needed help lifting stuff today and it was awkward cos I didn't want to help... Just carried a few tiny things.

Good luck with the MW darcies! You'll have to tell us all about it!
Hope this week passes quickly for you felicific and that you are ok and hope your cold goes away soon blue crane.
Laterz! x

annekins · 27/04/2011 06:17

Hi Ladies...just found out I'm about 5 weeks gone, with a due date (thanks mumsnet due date calculator) of about 27th December. Which is great (not) as I was also a Christmas Day baby myself, so I'm kinda hoping the little one will hang on till mid January!

First time for me, and I'm feeling a strange combo of excited and scared at the same time, have refused to watch OBEM as it'll freak me out, and have been advised by BFF not to read ahead in the the pregnancy book!

Will be getting doctor's appointment as soon as the phone lines open!

Good luck to all of you, and thinking of you when things aren't going so smoothly x

DarciesmumandBump2 · 27/04/2011 06:54

Wiwa Will let you know how MW goes, prob all changed since the last time I did it which was 7yrs ago lol!

Welcome Annikins. Congratulations :)

antheasa · 27/04/2011 11:34

Hi ladies, mind if I join also due december 20. Joining u from south africa, so awesome to hear that im not alone with my paranoia and back pain. First scan only on the 13 may feels like forever away.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 27/04/2011 16:52

Welcome Antheasa

Seen the MW she was lovely seeing her again 30th May I'll be exactly 10wks. Will be booking us in for nuchal fold scan & dating I think need to clarify it. 30 may seems ages away. Also agreed we could give birth in the MWLU yay.

figgygal · 27/04/2011 17:46

Well I phoned the midwives again today to try and get in before 1st scheduled appt on 11th may and no luck despite my headswimmimg constantly. Am having to eat like a Trojan every hour or so or can barely see straight am so lightheaded but was told that was normal and linked to blood pressure and I only have to worry if have high blood pressure but how am I supposed to know if I do or not if not seeing them for 2 weeks. Usually have low blood pressure so it's probably in the floor or maybe my kidneys are failing as have 1 non fully functioning kidney but apparently me being 11 weeks by time I see anyone isn't a concern to them. Feeling proper pissed off probably hormones and concern I am going to balloon into a blimp over this baby ........cry cry irrational hormonal cry

DarciesmumandBump2 · 27/04/2011 17:50

figgy can you go to your gps just for a BP check? I work at a drs practice and we have certain hrs on certain days when a trained receptionist can take a BP if the result seems to high or to low then its brought to the attention of your GP.

I think we're all hormonal at the moment, so cry and be irrational as you like here :)

BlueCrane · 27/04/2011 18:00

Oh figgy so sorry...tbh is does sound like a trip to the GP just to get your BP checked to at least ease your mind would be a good idea. Feeling so lightheaded can't be safe or normal so I'm suprised by MW reaction.

I seem to be feeling quite a bit better today which I'm feeling quite pleased about, especially as I've just left my body to get on with it and not taken any meds...am usually pretty quick to pop some paracetamol so nice to think my immune system doing it's job! Smile

(also tried on my mat jeans that I've had stashed which I got in the sale at Christmas...sooo comfortable...why are we not normally 'allowed' to wear elasticated waist jeans...the dictates of fashion eh?!?)

DarciesmumandBump2 · 27/04/2011 18:03

Blue good to see your feeling better :) Do your mat jeans fit alright?

BlueCrane · 27/04/2011 18:13

darcies they fit nicely...I just bought them in my usual size...ok, they're a mini bit big but with good room for bump growth Smile they're Next ones with the thin bump band around the top...no idea how comfortable they'll be once i have a big bump but they'll do nicely over the summer! Part of the reason I was naughty and bought them is that they're short leg length which normally disappear v quick and £10 rather than £25 was bit of a bargain!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 27/04/2011 18:15

Blue Agree about the bargain thing. I loved Next mat trousers and jeans when pg with DD so comfy.

figgygal · 27/04/2011 18:27

9 weeks tomorrow That's what's most important if baby needs food and that's why I'm so floopy then baby will just have to get food. Even if I do end up sticking on 5 stone and look like a barrel.

dillydaydream32 · 27/04/2011 20:16

I am so glad I found this thread. Congratulations to you all. I am due 27th Nov but thought I could gate crash the thread as only 3 days till December. I have taken great comfort in some of the comments especially the one about imagining it. I keep thinking that at my scan there will be nothing there. have done 3 tests and DH has banned me from doing any more!!! Also I am feeling really bloated which makes me look about 6 months pregnant! Always at night time. Anyone else get like this?

zambooloo · 27/04/2011 20:35

Hi dillydaydream I keep thinking it can't be real and also have daily worries about MC for absolutely no reason at all! Is it your 1st pregnancy? I'm still v. emotional - cried this morning as BBC breakfast went through the royal wedding route and talked about the kiss on the balconey! I am pretty bloated but mine is more constipation which is giving me backache! Also to top it all off there is only 1 toilet in use for staff in the entire school (I'm a teacher) so everyone probably thinks I have some major issues as I'm always in there!
figgy - hope all is ok, you should definitely go to dr for blood pressure check. Hope you're feeling better soon xxx
Think I'm going to have to go to bed soon - can't stay awake tonight, thank goodness for 3 day week! Night all xxx

BlueCrane · 27/04/2011 20:49

dillydally I wake up feeling fairly slim and go to bed looking as though I def have a bump or have spent the day eating pies Smile
