Just looked at the bump piccies and the pushchairs. melly I reckon that's a lovely shaped bump - and the strech marks do fade, honest! The pushchairs look brill - I loved having a carryct for DS and will be using his for the bean.

KLou111 · 13/03/2011 16:52

Dreading strechmarks!! Hmm

Just wondering if any of you are getting like a constipation but for weeing? I am absolutely busting sometimes, but I really have to force it out, not painful or anything, but it's a pain when I am desperate and have to sit there for ages with a little trickle coming out. Sorry if TMI Blush

Same here Klou it's a PITA isn't it? Especially at 3am when you really want to be back in bed asleep. Happened to me on Friday around that time, I was so tired I drifted off and only woke up when I smacked my head on the wall because I'd slumped that much :o

Thank you Gruffalo :) does anyone think my bump looks feminine? Some random woman said that to me in Tesco yesterday she said "oooh your bump looks really feminine! I bet you're going to have a little girl" and I was just like "ummm how did you know?"

KLou111 · 13/03/2011 17:10

LMAO Melly not fell asleep yet on loo!!
No quite sure what that means with your bump, might be just if it's high or low?

Melly19MummyToBe · 13/03/2011 17:52

I didn't really get what she meant either to be honest. I thought it was a pretty strange thing to say to a random stranger lol!

GruffaloMama · 13/03/2011 18:05

I never really understand those kinds of comments. With ds about half the random predictions were that it was a boy and half that it was a girl... mind you a few thought it was twins... Grin
I predict it will be a girl or a boy!

Ref the weeing thing - not so much... if it happens often it could be an infection. Or time to get the pelvic floor exercises on the go.

lizandlulu · 13/03/2011 19:10

no idea about hte weeing thing.

i have always been told that if you carry all out front then its a boy and if you carry all over then its a girl. but i thoughti was all out front with dd and she was a girl! i thinki ts more down to your body shape.

my mil recons i am carrying this one alot differently from last tiem, but i cant see it myself. although everyone i have spoken to thinks i am having a boy!

MadKatz · 14/03/2011 13:32

Hello Ladies, Hope we're all ok?

Tag is still here, wish it would just come off Confused

Not many symptoms at all for the last few days, hope everything's ok in there. Guess I'll find out on the 1st Apil

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/03/2011 15:06

No I'm having a really achey monday. My back/right shoulder blade really hurts, baby is sitting awkwardly so my bump feels uncomfortable, for some bizarre reason my right foot hurts to walk on it. Also my toe on the same foot hurts from where Simon ripped off my nail by accident when he was cutting my toenails :( so I'm having a rather crappy day. Upside is we're off to pick a new mattress later on FINALLY!!

Enough about me, How are you Madkatz? Is the tag almost coming off then? Is the 1st when you have your 20 week scan? I'm losing track of where everyone is!

When is everyones due dates??

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/03/2011 15:07

Or should that be 'when are everyones due dates? Confused im not with it today :(

KLou111 · 14/03/2011 15:39

Hi all!!

Sorry your tag still attached Madkatz hope it drops off soon!!

Melly sorry your foot and toe not playing nice, the toe doesnot sound good. I would let my DH anywhere near cutting my nails, preggars or not lol!

Due 11 August here, although baby measured 17+4 instead of 17 at last scan when they checked cos of my bleed, can't bloody wait!!! 20 week scan a week tomorrow, woohoo!! Grin

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/03/2011 15:42

i am having a crappy day too, just work problems, peopel not doing thier jobs proberly which causes problems for me aaarrrggghhhh Angry

due 1st august here, my scan too is a week tomorrow, cant come soon enough! still not feeling much movement although my doppler is great to listen to it moving, i just sit there thinking how can it be moving like this and me not feel it?

lizandlulu · 14/03/2011 15:42

see i am so stressed that i cant even spell properly properly!

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/03/2011 16:05

He has always cut my toenails for me :o he was doing his once and I asked him to see if mine needed doing and he looked and they did, so he did them and has been doing them ever since lol. Although if he doesn't they would never get done!

Mondays are just so tough after spending the weekend not really doing anything and then off to work doing energetic things after 2 days of hardly moving! Can't wait till 28th april though :)

Anyones belly started jumping yet? Mine has it's hilarious :o

lizandlulu · 14/03/2011 18:14

ahh melly that must be so good to see! even with dd mine never really did that (probably too much fat covering the areaGrin)

GruffaloMama · 14/03/2011 18:56

melly and liz sorry you're having rubbish days. Melly ow! Sounds v sore. Hopefully a bit better now? Building work has started here - house is a pit already. madkatz hope you've suddenly had a surge of symptoms to reassure you. It is a bit of waiting game for that first scan isn't it.

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/03/2011 19:03

Today has got a bit better since DP got home, weve been and ordered our new mattress :) will be delivered on Friday afternoon :o

My toe doesn't hurt as much as it did Gruffalo, it just feels like the nail has been cut too short (which it has but right down to the cuticle is taking the piddle really!) What building works are you having done again?

KLou111 · 14/03/2011 19:09

Have you guys used/considered using reusable nappies? We're I think going to use them. Worked out that they would save us £500 over 2 years!! Looking at the Bambino mio birth to potty set, is £180, but that's it for all the covers and everything (obv have to buy liners) :)

Hope the building not stressing you too much Gruffalo

Well, our kitchen floor is finished, looks amazing, totally finishes it off. Just need to grout and seal it.
DH starting the conservatory floor tomorrow Grin. Got a steal in B&Q. Got to have proper flooring suitable for conservatory, so bang went the laminate for £8m2, or so we thought.......went in, they had some half price at £9 m2, then a nice man gave us 15% off voucher too, bargain!!! We're dreading the cost cos it's approx 30m2, so it's a big one, and thought was going to cost £500+, but no where near! Just waiting for the underlay to turn up, which should be here in the morning :)
Liking this pregnancy lark, means the house getting done lol!

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/03/2011 19:23

Sounds lovely Klou! I bet you can't wait until it's finished, I was just about to ask what sort of flooring you're having but then I realised what you'd actually typed so im guessing tiles in the kitchen, and laminate in the conservatory :o B&Q do some really great bargains sometimes don't they? We bought our cooker from there, it was £280 (I think), when we got to the till it was actually £180 (I think), then we got an extra 15% off, I think it only came to about £135 in the end :o!! I can't remember the actual prices, I just remember it ended up being £135 Hmm

Melly19MummyToBe · 14/03/2011 19:25

Oh and RE reuasable nappies, I hadn't really thought about it to be honest, im not sure I could be doing with all the fiddlyness of them! My sister used them though and she loved them, she offered them all to me aswell but I just said I hadn't decided yet :)

KLou111 · 14/03/2011 19:30

It's like laminate Melly but proper wood on the top, as normal laminate you can't use in conservatory cos of the varying temps. So confusing! Cheapest we'd found any was £16 m2, until went to B&Q and walked away with a bargain!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/03/2011 21:47

klou sounds really nice! i love wood flooring, its so easy to keep clean.

klou are you feeling much movement? just wondering to compare really, still not a great lot hereSad

also RE reusables, i did buy a whole kit when i had dd, i bought it from a baby show we went to at the nec, dh was really inot the idea, hes not big on being green or anything like that, he just really liked the wicker basket they came in i thinkGrin i cant even remember what make they were but they looked really nice. but when dd came, even the smallest size was too big on her, she was 8lb so not a small baby either, but i just got used to disposables and didnt want to go to the trouble of reusables so sold them on ebay.

aarrgghh i cant remember the name of them and its doing my head it!

lizandlulu · 14/03/2011 21:50

the ones i had was called onelife (just googled it!) they seem to have moved on so much in the last 5 years. there was none of these pretty colours or pattenrt in my dayGrin

KLou111 · 14/03/2011 21:55

There's so many Liz been looking at the OneLife ones and the Bambino Mio birth to potty set.
Will use disposables when out and about, but probably washables when at home :)
Not feeling a hell of a lot of movement TBH, asked my mum about it and she said baby will be sleeping most of the time so that was a relief. x
