Will anyone join a new baby bus with me?

I just got a BFP this morning so its very early days for me, but I'm so excited I thought what the hell, I'll head straight for the pregnancy thread anyway Grin

If all goes according to plan this will be DC2 and due on 2nd October. Ive enjoyed being on the October TTC bus so I thought it would be fun to continue over here.

Penelope1980 · 20/02/2011 19:30

Tamashii my sister had that and went to the dr and ended up being put on a drip - something you should consider I reckon!

Penelope1980 · 20/02/2011 19:32

I hope everyone is well! I am good, symptoms not too bad, just regular feeling of being hungover. I went to a function Sat night and the meal was undercooked which concerned me a little, it makes me realise how much I took for granted being able to eat anything without worry before!

sunface · 20/02/2011 19:37

Hope all ok monkey bubbles x agbag i've been having really awful diarreah (sp) too. Really bad cramps too but not actually been sick. Relieved its not just me! Wonder if it is a common symptom...

eagerbeagle · 20/02/2011 19:44

Hello ladies!

Had first wave of sickness this afternoon - thankfully brief and cured with an emergency digestive biscuit. i think it will get wore before it gets better though

the fatigue has also kicked in, was like a zombie at work friday afternoon and have been zonked this weekend even though went to bed early friday and saturday and retreated back to bed for 3 hours! sat afternoon.

Was like this with DS but didn't have DS to take care off as well. o well

seasaltbaby · 20/02/2011 21:11

Evening everyone, monkeybubbles-I've got everything crossed for you, let us know how you get on.
I am totally obsessing already with the whole pregnancy thing and its only been a few days! Trying hard not to get overly anxious about it all going wrong, although not easy.

Still no major symptoms other than few cramps (this is normal right?!) but I do seem to be starving all the time! I wake up with my tummy growling! Might be imaginary of course and already good excuse just to eat more.

Went for luch today with friends, some of whom are pregnant or had lots of children, so hard not to disclose 'Im pregnant too!!' so glad we have MN! Apparently morning sickness is worse with after your first so hoping it doesn't get me too bad, hate being sick so much.

off for an early night now.....:)

cc1983 · 20/02/2011 21:42

hey guys:) can i tentatively join? If all goes well I'll be due around 16th Oct. Only just got my strong bfp and apart from the odd cramp, a desire for half eight bedtimes and an uncharacteristic desire for Chinese ( levelled out by a sudden dislike of Indian which upsets me!) I'm fairly symptom free so being cautious with my hopes this time. Anyone else very excited but occasionally terrified?

lovemybabyboy · 20/02/2011 23:08

Hi all,

I will put one foot on the bus for now if thats ok.
I am 4+4 weeks pregnant due 26th October, I am very nervous though as I had a mmc in august, have been trying ever since.

I would have been due 13th feb and got my bfp on 14th (mon) which was also my birthday/valentines day! best birthday present ever!!!

Linda very sorry to hear about your loss.

My symptoms are just sore boobs and feeling very tired, having some mild cramps at times, oh and feeling quite grumpy and weepy!
I know it probably will sound mad but I want to feel sick to make it feel more real.
I have a DS who is 2.2 yrs and had nausea with him and in my last pregnancy.

Hope everyone is doing ok. :)

CountryMama · 21/02/2011 07:31

Hi ... its getting a bit crowded... room for me? I'll stand. We are due on 18th October. Off to the doctors first thing this morning to confirm everything. I am exhausted running around after my 2 year old DD... but other than that feeling good. Love to all.

tummytickler · 21/02/2011 07:47

Morning all!
Do you know I forgot it was Monday! It is half term, so all a bit of a daze!
Is it too early to phone the doctors for a booking visit with the mw do you think? I am only 4+5 .
Lovemybabyboy We have the same due date! My sore boobs have jsut kicked in, and have waves of mild nausea. I am expecting this to kick in and become full scale incapacitating ms soon though. As long as I can get half term out of the way first.

Bouncyminky · 21/02/2011 08:03

Morning all. Symptoms seemed to have calmed for the minute. First night full sleep in about a month! Liking the fact that my boobs are bigger. Only have to wait a week and a half for my booking appointment now. Sure I had it earlier last time. Have a good day all.

apples82 · 21/02/2011 08:44

Well done on your BF cc1983, i'm due on 17th October!

Sympton so far ok, apart from at certain times not being able to drink tea as it tastes really funny to me. Threw away two pints of milk before DH told me the milk was fine and it must be me! Shock

I'm six weeks gone, into seventh week now.

Boobs ache beyond belief and this weekend I have slept for England Grin.

Crawling · 21/02/2011 10:30

Hi how is everyone? I am 7-8 weeks now according to scan Smile. I had a g night sleep and feel much better for it.

People should start start getting their sccan dates soon Grin

tummytickler · 21/02/2011 10:34

crawling How lovely to have had a scan already! It must be so reassuring.
I won't get my scan date for ages. My booking appointment is not until 24th March, which feels like forever away! I am only 4+5 though.

apples Not being able to drink tea would be my worst nightmare Grin I tend to move to black tea when i am pregnant though as milky tea tastes slimy!

cupofteaplease · 21/02/2011 10:40

Morning all,

I resorted to paracetemol yesterday for the backache, and it seemed to work. Last night I took 2 more paracetemaol and put 2 hard cushions under my hips and I slept so much better- was only awake for an hour in the night! Feel incredibly sick this morning, much worse than before, bleurgh. I think I just need to keep eating!

elgoldenflower · 21/02/2011 10:45

My booking appt isn't until 15th March and I was told I don't see a GP before that either. For first pregnancy it's very nerve-wracking.

So grateful to have MN to keep me sane.

Boob's are growing rapidly, struggling to get to sleep because of achy hips and only seem to need about 6 hrs (compared to usual 7-8). Mild MS with me at all hrs.

Dragging myself to work today but got a quieter week cos of half term :)

elgoldenflower · 21/02/2011 10:49

Extra pillow between my knees is the only way I can get comfy in bed for the last week. Used to sleep on my tummy so struggling with having to be on my side (can't bare to squish my tummy or boobs anymore).

Glad you had some relief and good night's sleep cupofteaplease

mpops · 21/02/2011 11:19

My booking appt is two weeks today (7th March) and my scan 23rd March. It's going to be the slowest month ever. I can't even think about anything past that day - got a total mental block. Fingers crossed for us all!

apples82 · 21/02/2011 11:26

I got told from receptionist at docs that my MW app wouldn't be til week 10 and my scan until week 12-16!!! Sad

mpops · 21/02/2011 11:30

Aw, apples. I forgot to mention that I'm 7+5 so it's about the same for me, really. Guess we just have to be patient. I know how hard it is!

FluffyDonkey · 21/02/2011 11:38

Am not good at all atm Sad
Can't keep anything except water down since last Friday.

Am 8 weeks today and although I was going to wait until 12 weeks I ended up telling my manager today because I don't want him to feel I'm slacking off for no reason.

He's pleased for me but immediately asked when I'd go on maternity leave, and the impacts it will have on the project. Fortunately for me it's pretty good timing.

Feel rotten though. Barely got out of bed this weekend. Hoping to leave work early tonight. Thing is although I've told my manager I've asked him not to tell my client. Not sure how long I can keep that up as he sits opposite me and definately notices what time I arrive/leave!

And there is only so many excuses I can make. I've been implying I have eaten something that disagreed with me at the end of last week and that I still feel off so am going to the Drs this evening. But am a bit Blush at having to invent stuff.

Thing is I really hate my client and don't want him to know about my personal life.
Dilemma.

lovemybabyboy · 21/02/2011 11:48

tummytickler thats exciting, same due date! :)

elgoldenflower my booking appointment is also on the 15th march, and it feels like ages away!!! I am only 4+5 weeks pregnant and will be 7+6 for booking appointment.
I had a mmc in august and with that pregnancy I didnt see the midwife untill 8wks, then booking at 12wks, scan at 13wks.

I am so glad i am seeing them earlier this time.
Anyone who had an early scan, how did you get one? do you have to lie about pain/bleeding because I dont want to lie, afraid I might jinx it! Confused

Because I have a 2.2yr old DS the midwives dont seem to be too worried about me having another mc.
But its just way to loooonnggg to wait! Grin

apples82 · 21/02/2011 11:48

Oh FluffyDonkey, poor you, sounds awful.

As long as your boss was pleased for you, the clients will come and go Smile.

Hope you feel better soon, try some dry crackers.

Bumpsadaisie · 21/02/2011 11:50

Fluffy

Do see your GP if you are really struggling to keep anything down. Fluids are the main thing but if it carries on much longer you might think about anti-sickness drugs which really help. You still feel crap and nauseous but you can keep more down.

I was worried that my symptoms seemed to be dying down but feel bleugh today - 6 wks today. Looked back at diary and was signed off work with DD from week 7 to week 13 - so waiting in anticipation for how awful it might get!

On the one hand it is good if you are really sick - shows a lot is happening in there and much less likely to miscarry. On the other hand it is really horrible feeling so awful for weeks on end ...

The joys ... Wink

Fresh air, regular naps (yeah right!), nibbles of biscuits and sips of fizzy water to everyone.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 21/02/2011 11:58

Hi everyone sorry I have been away have been in hospital. Was rushed in by ambluance with severe cramping. They were concerned I had an ectopic but a scan ruled that out and baby is fine and in the right place with a heartbeat :) I was dehydrated and starving due to my hyperemisis so was put on a drip for a day and discharged. No cause for the pain was found.

FLuffydonkey - definitely go to the GP, you could end up in hospital like me otherwise.

FluffyDonkey · 21/02/2011 12:03

Glad you're ok coconuts that must have been scary!

Have tried sipping squash to get some sugar in me but no luck. Water is generally ok though.

bumps 7 weeks signed off! Shock you must have been really bad.

How safe are the anti-sickness drugs?
