I found out yesterday that I am pregnant with DC2. I am really pleased as we only started trying on Christmas Eve so I am only about four weeks pregnant.

I have told my best friend but I think DP and I will wait to tell family and friends until after the scan. Anyone else due in September and fancy a chat?

Hi ladies

not good news I'm afraid. Been bleeding heavily since yesterday morning (red blood) so things not looking good. Had bloods taken at epu yesterday and hcg was at the low end of the scale to where I should be. Looks like I'm miscarrying again :( Going back for follow up bloods tomorrow to see if hcg is rising or falling but not holding out much hope as I'm having the same symptoms as my last mc. If hcg has risen I'll need a scan to find out what's going on. If they've fallen then it's just a case of waiting to find out if everything will come away on it's own or whether I'll need some sort of medical treatment.

If it's good news I'll let you know, but if you don't hear anything then assume this one's all over for me. Good luck everyone with the rest of your pregnancies and keep updating. No doubt I'll be checking in September for your arrival announcements :)

reddaisy · 30/01/2011 21:19

Hi MummytoMax, I'm so, so sorry to hear that you are bleeding. Please do post if you need any support no matter what the outcome of your tests. Thinking of you and your family xxx

Hello, just checking in as I haven't been on here for ages. So sorry to hear that things are looking bad, mummytomax. Really hope we hear from you again soon x

Allypally16 · 30/01/2011 21:40

Thanks Misty9 for letting me know what goes on - I have seen you on another thread. Big Congrats. Also, congrats to Katesmummy - that must have been a lovely surprise.

Am really sad to hear your news mummytomax. I hope things work out for you soon xxx

lolajane2009 · 30/01/2011 21:52

hi all. thought i might join you. due 14th sept and exhausted. gained a few pounds and now my size 8 to 10 jimjams are tight.

reddaisy · 30/01/2011 21:57

Hi lolajane2009 - congratulations. I know what you mean about gaining a few pounds, until I found out I was pregnant, I was being really good and eating healthily but now I seem to have thrown caution to the wind but I need to be careful as I don't want to put on too much weight.

I managed to get my body from size 22 to 8/10 and then promptly got pregnant. luckily i have all my clothes upto a size 16 so hopefully i wont need too many clothes.

reddaisy · 31/01/2011 12:15

Wow, you did well. I didn't buy loads of clothes last time I was pregnant, I lived in two pairs of maternity trousers as I didn't want to spend lots of money on clothes that I would hardly wear. Is this your first baby LolaJane?

Just noticed this thread. I'm a bit confused as there seem to be 2 sept threads Confused. Any way of merging them somehow??

chelstonmum · 31/01/2011 15:12

Sorry to hear that Mummytomax, it can't be easy. x

PrincessScrumpy · 31/01/2011 17:13

Big hug for Mummytomax! xxx

mummytomax · 31/01/2011 18:07

Thanks for your kind wishes. Unfortunately it's been confirmed today that I have indeed miscarried. Feeling very sad, but I know I could not have done anything different and although it's now happened twice, I'm happy to accept for now that "it's just one of those things".

We've got our DS so we know I can carry a baby to term. I'm not giving up yet, so keep your fingers crossed for me that I won't be too far behind you.

I hope you all have healthy and happy pregnancies and your LO arrive in September healthy and happy too. If I get any good news before Sept I'll come back and let you know.

PrincessScrumpy · 31/01/2011 20:53

Hormone levels are going up so looking good but have scan for Monday so fingers crossed they'll see more and baby holds on in there.

Lali2010 · 31/01/2011 20:56

I am due on 16th September. First baby for us, We just got married. We are sooooo happy!!! Husband loving the new boobs! althought I have been suffering from extreme tiredness and queasiness so been tough. Week 7 has started on a good note. Feeling like myself again. If this was week 6 I wouldn't be able to stay awake to write this post!

reddaisy · 31/01/2011 22:15

Congrats Lali2010, how lovely that you are pregnant so soon after getting married. Was it a honeymoon baby Wink

Belgina, I started this thread because I didn't look hard enough for the other one when I found out I was pregnant.

A few of us have decided to stick on here because the other thread was very busy so we wanted to have a chance to get to know each other a bit and we all seem to be due mid-late September so it seems to work well.

Anyone is welcome to chat at anytime though!

PrincessScrumpy - That is good news. Are you feeling a bit better now?

OP posts:
lolajane2009 · 31/01/2011 22:27

anyone else got insomnia? i really want to crawl on the ceiling and sleep like a bat atm... really tired but every time that i try to sleep my mind is too awake.

reddaisy · 31/01/2011 22:37

I feel like that all the time Lola, not just when I am pregnant so it isn't a symptom of pregnancy for me! But I do sympathise! My sleep was definitely better when I exercised more.

So sorry to hear that MummytoMax, we will def have our fingers crossed for you xxx

eastegg · 01/02/2011 16:12

Hello again and welcome to the new joiners!

I too like it on this thread; so many of us seem to be due quite late in Sept.

A general lack of symptoms here at the mo. Not too bothered as if I recall with DS things didn't get noticeable until 6-7 weeks, and I am still officially only just over 6 weeks and in reality a bit less. Don't know whether to hope I start feeling sick or not! Definitely did with DS x

lolajane2009 · 01/02/2011 16:14

anyone else having issues with chapped/sore lips... mine are driving me mad.

PrincessScrumpy · 01/02/2011 18:52

lolajane try vasaline with Shea butter - I bought one in Boots as the case was brown and white so dd isn't interested (all my pink lip glosses seem to have become hers! It actually works really well and smells nice too.

Very excited to get my first morning of morning sickness (I know it sounds odd but as I thought I was loseing baby last week, I'm delighted). Taking it as a good sign.

Everyone seems to know at work as my line manager decided to announce it - despite having her own pg to announce and knowing I was having problems (which she didn't tell people). Queue a senior manager saying congrats to me on Monday before I'd had my second blood test and my response being to burst into tears (I was so shocked she knew)! I am furious with line manager but am far too emotional to confront her yet and I don't have the energy. I've got a meeting with the CEO (who she also told despite me saying it was in confidence and I'd kept her secret for 2 months!) so I will fill him in and make it clear how unhappy I am with my boss. Never dull is it! Smile

MumToSophie · 01/02/2011 19:27

PrincessScrumpy that's terrible your boss did that, I wouldn't be happy either! I want to keep mines quiet from work for a while. It's exactly two years ago that I fell pregnant with my first, I only went back to work in June and to be honest I'm worrying a bit at how they'll react.
