Good luck for your scan Harassed.

BoattoBolivia · 13/01/2011 15:12

I know just how you feel. I was booked to strat ivf when I discovered I was pregnant with dd- persuaded doctor to push for an early scan as I had NO symptoms and didn't want to cancel ivf. Only ever felt tired later on and small amonu of heartburn. Dd now 8! Ds arrived in march and I was 2 months preg before I realized!!! Periods have always been erratic!! Did develop pregnancy asthma with him, but nothing else. Was extra annoying when preg with dd as had a collegue at work who was preg at same time, and had every symptom possible, everyone kept forgetting that I was even pg!!

HalleLouja · 13/01/2011 15:13

Good luck Pants fingers crossed its just something insignificant. We are all still on the other thread if you want to catch up. We are pacing the floors waiting for Lemony to drop her babbbbyyyyyy.

Wombat33 · 13/01/2011 15:15

Morning all. I've got an HCG blood test booked this morning and a bad feeling about what it's going to show Sad but I'm really hoping I'm proved wrong.

LadyInPink · 14/01/2011 09:27

laylasmummy09 · 14/01/2011 11:08

bookied in for a private scan on 29th, seems like a long time away but its the only 1 i could get, its better than waiting til 12 weeks, im just taking each day as it comes n praying for some symptoms x

OP posts:
LadyInPink · 14/01/2011 11:12

OOh that's two weeks away, not too long layla and if you post every day we will keep you sane Smile

laylasmummy09 · 14/01/2011 11:39

thanx ladyinpink it has kept me just sane so far, my dp thinks im being irrationally worried, i dont think he realises that i know my own body and something doesnt feel right, hes not too pleased about the price of the scan either but its anything for an easy life, its nice to talk to people who understand Smile x

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 12:16

Ooh Laylasmummy 29th is not too long!! week after next and we're at the end of this week already. It will come round soon and we'll keep you company until then. Though I know how tough it is to wait.

I also spoke to a private hosp today and they will also scan me that week (if I get that far). Haven't booked in yet as we'll wait and see what the blood test results look like on Tues/Weds.

laylasmummy09 · 14/01/2011 12:28

thats not too long for your test results Smile did you just request to have it done? you would be waiting over a week at my doctors, im really hoping we both get that far but i think my head will have exploded by then lol x

I had seen my doc on Monday for my 'I'm pg/fill in the forms' appointment and I saw him last time round when I MC so he knows my history. Then I phoned this morning in a bit of a state and asked the receptionist if there was any chance of arranging a telephone consultation with him. When she asked why I told her it was because I think I am losing my pregnancy and she put me straight through bless her. He listened to what I had to say about symptoms all disappearing, and given my history, booked me in to see the nurse for the blood test and she happened to have an appointment this morning. Normally you do have to wait a week at my sugery too unless it's an emergency, so I'm really grateful to them. I guess in their book a woman who thinks she is in the process of MC is an emergency.

laylasmummy09 · 14/01/2011 12:44

thats good then, my surgery dont confirm pregnancy or anything, they just put your name into the midwifes book and tell you to wait for her to ring you wich could be anytime up to 12 weeks, they are not very sympathetic, think positive and keep busy x

Just to reassure you all a wee bit, I was pregnant with dd this time last year (she was due 11th sept) and I posted this exact same OP. I had NO symptoms, nothing. I was especially worried as I had SEVERE symptoms with ds including hyperemesis. All was fine despite spotting etc.

Good luck with scans

Misty9 · 15/01/2011 18:34

Hi all
I had more spotting last night and today :(
Light pink when I wipe again, and a bit of light brown on a pantliner.

NHS direct said to rest and see doc on Monday, but no appts with female doc til Tues...seeing the midwife for booking appt on Weds, so may as well leave it til then and will ask about early scan - otherwise might go down the private route for reassurance asap.
This is sooo worrying and a rollercoaster of emotions!

Hope everyone is feeling 'blooming' :) xx

laylasmummy09 · 15/01/2011 18:39

thanks the unmentioned thats great i had hyperemesis too with my dd it was awful, id been reading up on it while ttc and most women i spoke to had it in every pregnancy so i was really expecting it and praying not to although ironically now im hoping for it, thats why i was worried about the lack of symptoms, your post is very helpful, thankyou Smile x

laylasmummy09 · 15/01/2011 18:45

misty9 fingers crossed for you, deffinitely see the doc monday he should refer you for a scan if not its worth going private to put your mind at rest eather way spotting is quite common but very worrying, hope you are not getting cramps too, wishing you loads of luck x

Wombat33 · 17/01/2011 10:27

Good luck Misty, I hope you get to see the doc tooday.

Thanks to theunmentioned - all these stories are very reassuring!

Laylasmummy glad you're feeling sick Grin this is the only circumstances I'm ever likely to say that to somebody!!

I'm feeling the same as ever so trying not to get my hopes up. Blood test results may be ready tomorrow but more probably Weds. Feels like an eternity to wait, though on the other hand, if it's bad news I might prefer to stay in blissful (??!) ignorance a bit longer!

laylasmummy09 · 17/01/2011 11:36

good luck misty hi wombat my sickness has disappeared again but still trying to stay positive as still no sign of anything else being wrong and im slowly getting towards my scan dateSmile got everything crossed for you and your results, not long to wait now x

OP posts:
Wombat33 · 18/01/2011 17:18

Hi Laylasmummy how are you today? Not long until your scan now! I got my first set of blood results back today and the HCG levels seem high. I think it's good news, though I've been given them in a unit of measurement I don't understand and if my conversion is right they seem remarkably high - which itself can be an indicator of problems, so I'm still playing a waiting game but feeling a bit more hopeful.

Misty9 · 18/01/2011 17:58

hi all
I had an internal exam and scan today - and poppy seed is in the right place Grin
Heartbeat and everything!

And still no particular pg symptoms; felt bit nauseous this morning and yesterday, but could've been nerves...watch this space!

So relieved :)
hope everyone is well xx
