I am 6 weeks today and have felt very few symptoms so far. If I do feel a bit sick/faint it's over very soon usually when I eat something - plus I've had intermittently sore boobs but nothing else really!

ecuse · 12/01/2011 17:12

I had almost no symptoms until well into second trimester. Occasional sore boobs and tired, but not necessarily anything I would have noticed if I hasn't known I was pregnant already and been searching for symptoms.

Am now 26 weeks and being kicked in the bladder.

lalambev · 12/01/2011 17:22

Hi Laylasmummy

I am 6+5 due 2nd Sep, and my sickness started about two days ago, the nausea comes and goes in waves and is worse in the morning. I've read that sickness usually kicks in around 6-7 weeks, so yours will probably start in a few days. Wink

Franimal · 12/01/2011 17:25

Hi, I was worried about that too this time, because I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks before this pregnancy and had no symptoms then either. I started to get tired around wk 8 but it came in waves and most of the time felt fine. The dr wouldn't offer any early scan to check. I was worried but when I finally got to the dating scan everything was great! Currently 16wks+6days, had my antenatal appt last week, heard baby's heartbeat so all is good so far. Try not to worry. You might be lucky and not have any symptoms.

Wombat33 · 12/01/2011 17:36

Thanks you all so so much for these positive stories!! Keep them coming! And good luck to you all with your pregnancies and babies Grin

HalleLouja · 12/01/2011 18:13

Had a brief spell of nausea at about 6 weeks but died down pretty quickly. Was much worse with DS. I also had a week or two where I was funny with my food. My boobs have grown to a ridiculous size. I hardly have a bump and am 17 weeks pregnant.

I remember being much more tired with DS.

I think every pregnancy is different. One of my friends had no symptoms til 7 weeks and then had awful sickness, so be careful what you wish for! Wink

laylasmummy09 · 12/01/2011 18:15

thanks sooo much ladies these positive stories are great franimal yours is great, Smile i will be looking to pay for a scan before 12 weeks if im not offered one this thread has made me feel soo much better x

Layla, forgot to say - we are due on same date!

LadyInPink · 12/01/2011 18:38

Try not to worry (easier said than done I know). I had a MC with my first pg in the 1st trimester and when I started bleeding with my 2nd pg at 5+6 they scanned me and i saw a beating heartbeat clear as day and so I would encourage a scan as soon as you can book one in as it really put my mind at ease. After the scan at around 6wks my sickness kicked in and stayed for around 7mths and i rejoyced after each vomit as i honestly thought it was a good sign as had nothing first time around. I realise it is most probably a myth but it so helped as i bled a further 2 more times and it kept me sane. I now have a gorgeous DD who is 6yrs old but i remember the agony of waiting like it was yesterday so i do empathise with you ladies now.

I do remember having sore boobs before i took a test at 4+5 wks and thought it was my period due but a friend said it happens with pregnancy too though not with everyone.

Keep us posted on how you are all getting on - how exciting and congratulations to all who are expecting at this time Smile

laylasmummy09 · 12/01/2011 18:45

congratulations catfishes lets just hope we are the lucky ones who dont gett really sick, hope you will all keep us updated with how you get on x

I'm pregnant with dc4. Due 08th sept. I have had no symptoms apart from slightly tender boobs and im a bit more tired. I was exactly the same with my last prenancy so much so that i was really worried at my scan. With my first i vomited all day every day for 5 months. weird.

nannyl · 12/01/2011 21:05

Im 5+1

the last few days ive been exhausted and 2 nights ago i craved cheese and crisps. (2 things id never normally eat)

oh yes and my boobs have been hurting in the evening

Wombat33 · 13/01/2011 11:18

Morning Laylasmummy how are you doing today? No change here. Boobs still deflated and no soreness :( Keep willing myself to feel sick but no luck yet (unless you can count overeating at dinner last night?!)!

slowshow · 13/01/2011 13:00

I'm five weeks today (tested ridiculously early) and I'm pretty much symptomless as well. I'm extra tired, boobs bigger (and sore) and apart from the tiniest occasional hint of nausea I feel completely normal. TBH, I would be happier to feel a bit sicker.

Famous last words Wink

I keep telling myself that it's still too early for major symptoms - a lot of women still wouldn't know they were pregnant at this point!

laylasmummy09 · 13/01/2011 13:42

hi wombat33 im ok thanx still worried, did a pg test and it came up 2-3 weeks when it should have come up 3+ but at least its a clear positive,im kinda hoping i ovulated later than usual and maybe im not as far along as i thought, it would make sense, boobs still deflated and no sickness but trying to stay positive, i really hope we are gonna be lucky, slowshow it proberbly is too early but its nice to find out early so you can celebrate without throwing upSmile xxx

Laylasmummy - I'm still worried too, but keeping everything crossed for us!! How far along are you from LMP and how long are your cycles? I'm 5+5 today by LMP but my cycles are 31 days or so and because I was temping and using opks I'm fairly sure I'm actually only 5+1 or 5+2.

Also, those CB Digi tests are notoriously inaccurate - they're a great idea but if you've had lots to drink or haven't held your pee all night they can give a misleading result I think.

laylasmummy09 · 13/01/2011 14:23

yeah i know what you mean im 5+6 from lmp but not sure when i ovulate but regular 28 day cycle, i heard they were inaccurate burt i just wanted to see if the hormone level had gone up since i last did 1 and it has so thats something at least x

My symptoms didn't really kick in until 8wks-ish. Now at 10wks I'm nauseous, shattered and huge sore boobs!!!

just rung early pregnancy unit they dont offer early scans unless youre in pain or bleeding so will be looking around for private scan near me wish me luck x

OP posts:
Wombat33 · 13/01/2011 15:00

Good luck!! Are you going to get a private scan done soon or wait a bit until there's hopefully more to see? I can't decide what to do myself. Might get a NHS one at 8 or 9 weeks (if I'm lucky) but I'm not sure I can hold out that long. I decided this morning that I'm going to hold out until I'm at least 6 wks and then reassess (mainly because that way the wait is shorter and it feels like I've made a decision - even if it'sa decision to wait to make a decision Grin)

HalleLouja · 13/01/2011 15:08

I came up with Harrasses name its a fact [waves]. That is my claim to fame Wink

I was a bit like that worrying but had some spotting and a early scan at 6 weeks where they found a heartbeat so was reassured. I still worry now about the lack of bump but it seems to be growing by the hour so will soon be complaining about the size of bump. I think being pregnant is never a relaxing time.

Shimmerysilverglitter · 13/01/2011 15:09

Had no symptoms whatsoever with ds. Went to the scan more than half expecting to be told bad news. The sonographer had a look then swung the monitor round and said "there is your baby, very busy they are" and there he was. I just cried and cried with relief and had to explain that no, I was actually ecstatic with relief. Nearly 8 now, bless him. More symptoms with dd though, felt slightly nauseous a couple of times but that was it, no tiredness nothing. Put on stacks of weight though. Don't worry Smile.

harassedinherpants · 13/01/2011 15:10

Tis true, Louja came up with it she's very good at names.

I've had some spotting too Louja and off for scan tomorrow.
