They are covered in blue veins and feel itchy inside.

I haven't been pregnant for donkey's years so have no idea if this is normal.

I have no idea when I am due on (period every 4-6 weeks, and it is so light normally it only last half a day, is blibnk and you will miss it) and had my last period in middle of December I think.

This will teach me for having the regular 'don't you bloody get pregnant' chat with dd yesterday during One Born Every Minute.

I know I should get a test but gawd knows if it is too early or not, plus it is pissing down and I can't be arsed to go to the shops.

Logically should tell you to wait a week and then test. But I have no impulse control and it's your money rather than mine, so I think you should test RIGHT NOW (or as soon as you can buy a test).

I had a period mid-december 2008, tested on january 11th which was negative, and then again on the 16th which was very positive indeed :o so today may be a wee bit early for a cheapo test. I also did the 'buy half the shop as a distraction' thing, and ended up with a t-shirt, 3 packets of biscuits, a loaf of bread, 2 apples, and a pocket torch. DH still wears the t-shirt, I didn't realise until I got home that it was a mens t-shirt.

how exciting/terrifying!!

I am slightly curious about your DH's job Pol, where he gets free prergnancy tests Grin

Well, I am just going into work now and will get a test at the end of the day, so no updates until later this evening (but probably not til tomorrow morning as I am seldom online at night).

Her silence may mean she is out buying a test now...

Although, don't you work full-time GOML? Still working in my neck of the woods? Only I am just off to Tesco myself, and could have a test with you in 20 mins... Wink

That is how it goes isn't it Grin

It's very exciting - from the comfort of my sofa :) I bags second dibs if you decide after a week of having it, it was a mistake Grin

Seriously though, you do need to do the test and have another talk with DH - stuff the boring practicalities, it sounds like you would both really, really like another child x

Is it a bit like you have the men from the tetly tea bag add who were cleaning all the pipes (old bat emoticon if you don't remember the ad) inside spring-cleaning your boobs?

I had that - dd is now 13. Another sign that I found before it was time to test was that using a nice fluffy bath towel felt like someone attacking my nipples with a cheese grater.

I had convinced myself that at 41, overweight it would take a lot more that 1 act of unprotected sex to get me pg, 3 months after stopping the pill and having had 2 iuds. Late 1980s they were thought to be too dangerous for people that had not had children. Dh was very upset that he didn't get longer to practise before getting it right Grin

I had convinced myself, like every 16/15/14/13 etc year old, that taking a risk once or twice, that nothing would happen, I was wrong just as they are.

Still, despite us being 61 and 54 there are times when it's really lovely having a 13year old.

Good luck - don't test too soon, nor too often and comfort yourself with the thought that tests are no longer as expensive as they used to be, so you can afford at least 10 for the price of 2 13 years ago.
