They are covered in blue veins and feel itchy inside.

I haven't been pregnant for donkey's years so have no idea if this is normal.

I have no idea when I am due on (period every 4-6 weeks, and it is so light normally it only last half a day, is blibnk and you will miss it) and had my last period in middle of December I think.

This will teach me for having the regular 'don't you bloody get pregnant' chat with dd yesterday during One Born Every Minute.

I know I should get a test but gawd knows if it is too early or not, plus it is pissing down and I can't be arsed to go to the shops.

I'm pg and the only symptoms I have are veiny tits and a bloated belly....so ffs go and take a test you moron! :o

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/01/2011 10:18

Christ how mortified would I be if I had to slink on here later (post test) and say 'nah, am not pregnant, just am a fat blub with electric tits' Grin

Am 32. Had dd when I was 17. Was a scum of the earth teenage mother. Would be different now am in 30s and respectable (!) woman.

OOh reality are you trying for a baby then?

I am possibly just a statistic on the unreliability of contraception.

sounds like you want to be pg tbh

what do you think your dd would make to it if you were?

WimpleOfTheBallet · 12/01/2011 10:21

Electric Tits! Grin

Am excited to know...I love things like this!

Poledra · 12/01/2011 10:21

There is another explanation for the itchy tits, GetOrf - I got thrush in my nipples once. Jesus Christ I nearly scratched my boobs off my body.

Mind you, I was 33 weeks pg at the time and had taken a shedload of antibiotics following appendicitis.......

WanderingSheep · 12/01/2011 10:21

You can get a Tesco own brand test, they're about 3 or 4 quid iirc!

Dumbledoresgirl · 12/01/2011 10:21

She has a 15 year old and said she was a teenager when she was pregnant so she can't be more than 34.

Oooh GOML, what have you done?! Good luck with the test result.

In fact, good luck buying the test. I had to get one a few years back and felt stupidly shy about buying one, then comforted myself with the thought that the salesperson would be too discreet to comment on my purchase. Unfortunately, I was wrong. She asked me what result I wanted which I found very embarrassing. I wonder how many useless grocery items you will pick up in an attempt to make the pregnancy test look like a casual buy?

AbsofCroissant · 12/01/2011 10:21

Grin Just kidding!

I am really not popular with you today, am I?

It would be quite ironic if you found out you were pregnant, just after telling your DD about the perils of unplanned pregnancy ...

Dumbledoresgirl · 12/01/2011 10:22

Sorry x posts re age. 32? FGS woman, I had three children after the age of 32!

Poledra · 12/01/2011 10:22

"Oooh GOML, what have you done?!"

She's been a very very naughty girl, DDG Grin

DuplicitousBitch · 12/01/2011 10:23

do a test woman, if not for your yourself, for us and our insatiable need to be entertained by other peoples lifes.

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/01/2011 10:24

at the thought of thrushy nipples.

I never knew such a thing existed!

DD would be delighted - my SIL has just had a baby in late November, so all over Christmas dd held the baby and said 'oh muuuuuum please have a baby' to which I responded (a) get stuffed dd and (b) don't you DARE think of having one yourself. I was a young mother but blimey I would kill her if she did the same (and she knows it).

That said my poor SIL had a hideous birth (her 3rd) and had awful 3rd degree tears and all sorts and she is still suffering now, the poor thing.

This thread makes me feel 10 again.

"It would be quite ironic if you found out you were pregnant, just after telling your DD about the perils of unplanned pregnancy ..."

Oh GOD Abs can you imagine the conversation.

lol DG - yes I will probably buy a load of stuff to cover the preg test in the basket. I will pick a teenage oik checkout assistant - the type who don't say a word - and avoid middle aged permed checkout ladies.

I sat at watched One Born Every Minute with dd the other night in order to educate her.

I told her that the gas doesn't work and that's why that woman was shrieking her head off.

I also told her about forceps and 3rd degree tears.

And had the 67th conversation about 'thou shalt NOT get pregnant'

Oh the irony.

Self service checkout?

RockinSockBunnies · 12/01/2011 10:29

Get a test! I love these threads. I can't get knocked up for at least another couple of years, so like living vicariously Grin

floozietoozie · 12/01/2011 10:29

Ooh lOoking forward to seeing how this pans out. Mind you, I used to get tingly heavy boobs for two weeks before my period would finally arrive and as I was ttcing forever it was very annoying (and upsetting Sad). got there inthe end though. Good luck - if you're only 34 at tge most you're a youngster with a baby these days!

Poledra · 12/01/2011 10:31

Don't the tests come in one of those plastic boxes that the check-out person has to come and take off anyway? So a self-service checkout might draw more attention to it.

I love the fact that other people get supportive threads when they think they might be pg. GetOrf gets a good ribbing, some comments upon her behaviour, and loads of sniggering about (possibly) being knocked up after preaching to her DD Grin

JustKeepSwimming · 12/01/2011 10:32

Ooh very exciting Grin

And loving the irony re DD & 'the talk' - reminds me of that advert when the Dad finds a +ve pg test and starts accusing his teenage daughters, only for it to be his wife!

Have you & DP thought about having babies? He seems keen from what you've said.

Good luck!

Poledra · 12/01/2011 10:33

BTW, GetOrf, when are you going to test? Just that I really need to go get some work done and stop checking this thread to see if you have an answer yet?

Yes, forget about how you're feeling - fit yourself into my schedule please!
