Penel · 11/01/2011 20:08

Waybuloony - thank you so much. Just spoken to TFL Customer Services and they are putting badge in post for me. I had sent an e-mail but had no response and staff at Paddington station were unaware of badges. I am finding commuting on packed trains and tubes pretty hard at moment so will only wear badge when I feel sick. Don't want to given pregnant women a bad name! The badges do help though, particularly when you think someone might be pregnant but not too sure and don't want to get an earful by offering your seat!!!

Penel · 11/01/2011 20:10

Muzzy2011. So sorry. You must be devastated. Take care x

backintraining · 11/01/2011 21:27

So sorry muzzy2011. Be kind to yourself and good luck for the future.

Hi everyone,

i've just joined this group as i am about 6 weeks pregnant due 8th sept!

This is my first baby, i am first in my group of friends to be pregnant so am just looking for a bit of support and advice!

(and i don't mean to sound silly but i'm not sure what all your abbreivations mean? )

Anyway, about me, i am 21, i am married to a very lovely man, (i suppose i am a bit biased though) and i am a qualified childcare practitioners currently working in a foundation stage with 3 to 5 year olds, love my job, love kids, excited for my own but also very scared too!

jimmijam · 12/01/2011 09:56

hi mrscx, if u click on 'acronyms' near the top of the page u'll find the abreviations there, ioften refer to it when i c 1 i cant work out

im 6 weeks gone 2day and due a day b4 u, with my 1st (im 24 and this will be #3) i was also the 1st in my group of friends. 1 gave birth a few days ago 2 her 3rd (weighing 10lb 3.5oz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! vbac) and a few are now pregnant with their 1st-most due in teh next month or so.

1st time felt strange, they were all still going out clubbing etc and i felt a bit left out and like they didnt understand, but when babies in ur arms its all good :-)

numptysmummy · 12/01/2011 11:59

I'm going to sit quietly at the back for a few days if thats o.k? Mc this time last year at 6 wks and i'm about 5 wks now - i think. This will be dc5! Dh not overly impressed at the moment but as we've been using the withdrawl method for nearly 5years he can't really say much!

100years · 12/01/2011 12:15

Sorry I've not read back in the thread to see the new ones in here. Waiting to get an emergency appointment at my docs. I'm sure it's pretty normal, but had some bleeding last night after having sex, and had some the other night after a poo. Spoke to EPAU who said as over 6 weeks they will scan if doc feels it's necessary. So I have to ring docs at 1pm for emerg appointment. It was only yesterday that I was feeling quite relaxed and if it's OK it's OK and if not then we will be OK. Now I'm going out of my mind!!

Keep fingers crossed for me.

And everyone else. xx

murkle · 12/01/2011 12:29

hello :) Am I on the right bus? I've just done the due date calculator, and it came out as 21/09.

I've never done this before, so it's all a bit strange and new!

jimmijam · 12/01/2011 13:08

Best of luck 100years. Take care! Yes ur on the right 1,congratulations

100years · 12/01/2011 15:52

Got a scan tomorrow at the EPAU at 2pm. Doc wasn't sure what's happening either way, which I know they can't be. Mentioned the word miscarriage too much for my liking though. Did a pg test and it was a faint positive, which is worrying as all of mine except for the mega early ones have been strong. Just have to wait and see now.

numptysmummy · 12/01/2011 15:53

Fingers crossed for you 100years.

100years · 12/01/2011 16:08

Thanks

recklesspixie · 12/01/2011 16:51

100years fingers and toes crossed for you, I can imagine the wait must be unbearable :-( xx

MrsCx · 12/01/2011 17:43

thanks jimmijam i now know what they mean :-)

They have me at 6 weeks today, but i am convinced i'm not that far along, as my cycle is always irregular. we've only been TTC for 2 months, so a bit shocked it happened this quickly! Did a test last tue and thur which were negative, but then on sat i had 3 positive ones ( i just had to make sure!) Confirmed it at docs on monday who said i am 6 weeks today going my LMP.

i haven't told all my friends yet, just my closest best friend and shes very excited for us. I'm not a big clubber anyway, so don't think i'll miss it that much but will miss the odd glass of wine on a friday night, but it will all be more than worth it!

100 years everything crossed for you x

backintraining · 12/01/2011 21:07

Fingers crossed for you 100years. Hope all goes well.

Things have gone a bit mad for me as well. I went to Docs last night for Swine Flu jab and had a chat with him as well (due to last pregnancy complications). Turns out my blood pressure is higher than it should be. He gave me a monitor to do some readings at home. It is still high so I'm back in tomorrow morning, they've mentioned that I'll probably be referred to Obstetrics at our hospital.

Hope everyone else is okay and problem free.

holycrapolla · 12/01/2011 22:08

wishing you lots of luck 100years...have everything crossed for you x

can't believe how many of us there are already! Still feels so early. Have started to feel queasey now which i guess is a good sign but i'd forgotten how grim it can make you feel!

I'm having the flu jab tomorrow because i work in a gp's surgery and when i told my manager i was pregnant she told me to have it immediately!! Am in with the docs on monday too so hope everything starts to feel a bit more real then - i still feel like i'm dreaming or making it up!

Whens everyone else planning to tell your other DC? This is my first with my new OH so think it's going to take a bit of adjusting for them but am scared to say anything too early in case we have to explain if anything goes wrong.

laylasmummy09 · 13/01/2011 09:06

holycrapolla im exactly the same, ive decided to wait until after my first scan to tell my dd shes proberbly too young to understand anyway but its helping to keep me from getting too exited and being too disappointed if it goes wrong again, wishing you well x

MrsSawyer · 13/01/2011 10:51

I had my SF jab on tuesday morning and have a huge lump on my arm and its aching really bad, and it should last for several days - oh joy!

Is it a bad thing then if you dont feel sick? The only symptoms ive had is norks are a little bit sore (but not heavy) and very bad windBlush esp at night. Oh and just being blardy tired all the time, but i dont feel sick or have aches anywhere, what does that mean?

Although my DS is 4.5 now and i didnt have any morning sickness or aches with him either, so thats why i havent worried. Im rambling now i think....

100 years, please come back and tell us what happened, keeping everything crossed for you x

laylasmummy09 · 13/01/2011 10:56

its not always a bad thing if you dont feel sick some are just lucky but itcan mean the hormone levels are not very high wigh can be a sighn that baby is not developing proprerly and with my history ive been a bit worried but maybe its just a lucky pregnancy, hope your arm is better soon x

lissy28 · 13/01/2011 12:19

I'm six weeks today and don't really have any symptoms except sore boobs. I was the same in my last pregnancy though and was worried then but everything was fine. Think everyone is just different. In my first pregnancy i was sick every day, all day for about five months but this is now my fourth pregnancy and i havent been sick again.

emoo777 · 13/01/2011 12:24

Seven weeks today Smile. Every week feels like a big milestone at this stage. lissy - at 6 weeks I got sickness with my last pregnancy so was worried it hadn't started in this one. Well, all I can say is that it has now!!!

laylasmummy09 · 13/01/2011 13:46

emoo777 Smile woohoo happy week 7 hope your sickness doesnt last too long x

citymonkey · 13/01/2011 13:51

Hey
I tested positive on Sunday after first cycle of trying - so gobsmacked, but of course v barely preggers. I think I know the date I ovulated (was using clearblue fertility monitor), so have worked out would be due on 17 Sept (which is also my birthday!)

Have a docs appointment tomorrow - is that too early??

Congrats to all of you :-)

jazz412 · 13/01/2011 14:14

citymonkey hey, I don't think that that's too early :) my doctors don't want to see me until I'm 8-12 weeks unless I have a problem! (quite want to have an appointment though to make sure everything is ok but I suppose there isn't much they can do except retest me?)
Good luck 100years
