WeeAl my scan isn't til 8th March so almost four weeks away, am considering going for a private scan next weekend when I'm 9 weeks to put my mind at ease, some days I feel so pregnant and sick and others days I feel quite normal, instead of enjoying the days I'm well I freak out, I actually prefer the days I'm sick because I see it as evidence that I'm still preggo!! Tonight I'm so exhausted that I have no doubt that I'm pregnant and feel that it may even be twins!!!!!

Emoo77 huge congrats on the scan, delighted for you, must be such a relief to know that everything is as it should be, yay for you! Smile

Rupsje I know all about the trips to the toilet too, sometimes when I've just gone I feel like I need to go again already! I'm a teacher so it's tricky enough to drop everything and run to the loo, must be a nightmare in meetings at work for you too!

Lola thanks for the bra advice, knew boobs got bigger in preganacy but had no idea how much, I had moved out of my bras and into sports bras at week 6 so God only knows what size I'm going to end up Shock of course Dh is delighted but they are too sore to allow him near them, it's a look but don't touch situation!!!

Anyone have baby-brain already? I'm stuck for words, forgetting names etc but I used to get it for a day or two around my period so I suppose I'm a prime candidate for it! a friend told me scientists have proven it doesn't exist but maybe they should study me cos my hormones are having a definate negative effect on my brain function!

xtwinmummyx · 04/02/2011 21:53

Can i come and join the Sept bus...hopefully its a double decker, as there seems to be alot of us! :)
I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and my mf has put my due date down for the 16th Sept...although havent had my scan yet, so hoping all is well!

I already have a DSD and DTD who are identical...so pretty sure there is just one in there this time around...would be very spontaneous to have another set of identical twins!...but all will be revealed in 4 weeks time Shock

I have been feeling very exhausted this time around, although not sure how much of that is the pregnancy or running around after 14 month old twins...i expect its both! Luckily however, i havent had much sickness again as when expecting the twins...i am just feeling sick on and off, but this usually goes when eating something which is good.

Hope everyone else is well and not having much sickness!

xtwinmummyx · 04/02/2011 22:08

Just been reading back through all the older posts on here too...and am very sorry to hear about all whos pregnancies have ended :( My thoughts are with you. x

licoriceGreen · 04/02/2011 22:15

Hi please can I get on the bus? I'm 9 weeks and due on 5th of September. I have my scan booked for the end of feb so it's all very official now and a little scary.

ssmile · 05/02/2011 10:43

lolajane hi I too was FF to start with and now upto G and growing... This is my second preg and last time found that bra extenders (£2) helped to make my bras last a bit longer as your ribs expand to take the baby in 3rd trimester. Try figleaves or bravissimo for larger sized nursing bras. M&S online can be good to.

I tend to buy soft ones for everyday and an underwire for looking smart uplift for a couple of hours Wink. Being so big I had to sleep in a bra near the end and all the time I was breast feeding it was just too uncomfortable otherwise. BF in public was a challenge being so large but I did manage it discreetly after some pratice :o

My nursing bras got old really fast as they soft and the weight made them droop so buying some now they may not last!

holycrapolla · 05/02/2011 16:04

hi all, welcome to the new ladies...can't believe how many of us are due in september!!

Had a private scan last week and all was fine and dandy - official due date is now 5th september so am just about 10 weeks! September just seems soooo far away...can't wait for spring to kick in then it'll hopefully feel a bit closer.

How has the bra shopping gone this weekend?! Hadn't thought of buying any new ones..just been squeezing my growing baps into my normal bras, although i've always been rather flat chested so i'm quite enjoyin having a cleavage for a change!

The news is out to most of our close family now, and work collegues who have been absolutley lovely...not quite used to being the office talking point though, have been blushing most of this week when they tell everyone that enters the office that i've got a bun in my oven!

How's everyone feeling? I still don't have any sickness but have been shattered just lately, have started taking an afternoon nap before picking the DC's up from school!

MrsSawyer · 07/02/2011 12:19

My scan is booked for feb 17th - makes it seem real. hope everyone is ok today.

recklesspixie · 07/02/2011 16:34

holycrapolla congrats on your scan, what a relief for you, mine isn't for another 4 weeks, though I'm less anxious about it than I was last week. Lucky you not having much sickness, I feel pretty crap today and so exhausted.

MrsSawyer FX for your scan, it's not too long away now Smile

licoriceGreen and xtwinmummyx welcome aboard!

ssmile thanks for bra advice, was too tired to sort myself out this weekend so I guess it's another week of digging-in-bras for me !

exciteddotcom · 07/02/2011 17:56

Has anyone had their booking in appointment with the midwife yet? I was just wondering if they give you any indication if things are ok witht the baby, waiting til 12 weeks for the scan seems like a lifetime - and it's only 2 weeks away now!!
Any advice gratefully received!

ssmile · 07/02/2011 18:51

Had my scan rescheduled from 2012 to 2011 today the hospital did laugh about their cock up! Got my booking appt on the morning of my scan so will be 12.5wks!!! MW very busy and on holiday, and I think as its my second she not too worried.

Jojo1983 · 07/02/2011 20:07

Got my scan date through to today am well excited but wish the next for weeks go fast! Bit confused with the whole meeting with the midwife my mate says I should have this appointment before my scan but have t heard anything yet hope everyone is ok and resting well x

Froggy81 · 07/02/2011 20:31

Am due 1st of September and am now 10+4. I had my booking appointment with mw during week 8 and my scan is scheduled for 21st of Feb.

To be honest, the first meeting was a lot of paperwork and a bit boring in my experience... We even had to fill in a form saying where I want to give birth. I don't even quite believe I'm pregnant yet, let alone think about giving birth!

WeeAl · 07/02/2011 20:44

Hey! I've got my booking in date 3 days before first scan. Scan is 2 weeks on Friday! I wanna fast forward to then!!! I'm 9+4 today!

Thanks for the tip ssmile about bra extenders! Think will look at this as was too knackered to be bothered bra shopping on Saturday.

Went for a swim yesterday. Highly recommended! Been so tired so it was nice to finally feel like I'd achieved something in a day! Cleared my head too which has helped with my super-busy night brain!!

How's everyone else feeling today?

Jojo1983 · 07/02/2011 20:47

So still got time to wait for the appointment then god I wish it was September already!
Been so tired lately can't get enough sleep don't help working with a room full of 2-3 year olds always on the go!

SkiBumMum · 08/02/2011 20:13

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of discharge?! Creamy, White mainly. (lovely question sorry!)

ssmile · 08/02/2011 21:41

Yep extra juicy some days... lovely TMI Wink

jimmijam · 09/02/2011 10:37

yes! sometimes myns yellow and gooey/stretchy, other times clear and watery-but some, ok most, days theres loads of it!
i remember towards the end of my last 2 pregnancies it was like loads of bogeys down there Blush

johsibo · 09/02/2011 11:59

Just from the doctor.... beautiful 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant today, so so happy here and feeling fine! Baby #3 due date will be 19th of september.
Congratulations everyone :)

Hatterbox · 09/02/2011 12:12

Hello all.

I'm expecting my fourth child in September, EDD is 15 September.

I have a DS, V who was born on Christmas Day 2006 and twin DDs, E and D born on 14 July 2008.

emoo777 · 10/02/2011 07:45

Welcome to newbies and lovely to hear about people's scans.
We have been on a bit of adventure in the last few days. We had a car crash on tuesday, with a lot of impact and have some whiplash and discomfort including where the seatbelt sits. Had to go for an emergency scan but heartbeat still there so mightily relieved. Have decided babies are quite resilient!

As far as symptoms are concerned, I am exhausted mainly and my skin is terrible. I feel like a teenager! Good luck for those coming up to their scans.

Rupsje · 11/02/2011 13:56

Congratulations joshibo on your scan! And emoo777, really sorry to hear about your car accident, but so pleased the baby is fine.

After a bit of a tough week travelling for work I am now really pleased to be home. Hope the baby hasn't suffered too much from the stress. My first midwife appointment is on Monday morning - very excited although I know it is mainly form-filling.

Is anyone else being driven slightly mad by trying to eat the right things? Especially this week while eating out a lot I often found myself worrying about whether the meat was cooked well enough or whether there were any bacteria in the food I ate. I am feeling a bit neurotic! But I guess you would notice if you got food poisoned, right?

lolajane2009 · 11/02/2011 18:38

i feel revolting... still hardly sleeping and I have some many food adversions, due to my morning sickness, that my diet is strange. hubby uses me as a bloodhound for his diet as I can usually sniff out 'bad' food. brushing my teeth is no fun though as it makes me gag.

i havent had my scan date yet but i am starting to bulge out a bit now at 9 weeks.

recklesspixie · 11/02/2011 18:46

emoo777 poor you, must have been scary, glad everything is ok! xx

I had planned to be so healthy during pregnancy but I find that I'm lying on the couch eating chips, crisps and anything else stodgy to keep my stomach settled. The exercise and healthy eating WILL begin when the 12 weeks are up! I've a wobbly belly already and I'm only 9 weeks!
Planning on bra shopping this weekend, hopefully won't be too tired to go like last weekend!
Hope everyone has a great weekend Smile

CBear6 · 11/02/2011 19:14

Can I join the bus? I'm carrying a little September passenger :)

A little about me, seeing as we're all in this together. I'm 29 and married to my lovely-but-sometimes-grumpy hubby, grumpy in a sweet way though. We tried for three years to conceive our first and sadly lost her at 6 weeks. Six months later I fell pregnant with our little boy who is now 18 months old. He came right on his due date so I'm hoping for more of the same this time but maybe a slightly smaller head and a pound or two lighter haha! I got pregnant again in spring of last year and had a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks so I'm crossing everything I have and wishing on every old wives' tale I can think of that it'll all be okay this time - magpies, rainbows, eyelashes, stars, you name it and I've wished on it lol.

I'm provisionally due 24th of September. The midwife reckoned I was 12 weeks, I reckoned 10, but I had a scan yesterday to investigate some bleeding and I'm eight and a bit weeks but there's a lovely little flickering heart duh-dumping away in there and it all looks good. I cried my eyes out I was so relieved but I don't think I'll fully relax until after 14 weeks - that's my benchmark now. I got my positive test on New Years Eve and my sickness kicked in at 4 weeks, normally it's six weeks for me (at least in my previous pregnancies) so I'm taking that as a good sign too. My other symptoms have been being super emotional, random cravings (Cornettos, grapes, and those little sesame seed goldfish crackers you get in party mix). My boobs are starting to get sore now though too. On a plus side my nails are growing really nicely and strong too.

Congratulations to all the other September mamas!

Jojo1983 · 13/02/2011 21:29

Bit of advice needed please, Got my first midwives appointment on Thursday and I understand she is going to ask all about the family history, however recently split from my partner and don't know all his family history what do i do? Sorry if this sounds silly but its my first baby.
