Hi lovelies x

Sorry if I panicked you - have had a very busy but very good weekend :)

Scan was at 9am yesterday morning - all is well, and we have one very perfect looking baby measuring bang on for dates (8+4 today) making him or herself at home. Was so relieved and just really pleased that we've got past the first hurdle okay.

After that, was straight off to the football so didn't have time to pop in.

And then today, in a moment of madness, I decided it would be easier to actually do my 10k run rather than lie about not doing it, so managed to get round in a respectable 1hr 6 mins which is 3 mins quicker than last year, with more hills and less training! Am chuffed , esp as it means the secret is still intact!

Am now off to Gourmet Burger for burger and chips :)

battery - glad you had a good scan too lvely. Was thinking of you yesterday.

Battery and Viv huge big congrats on your successful scans. Really pleased to hear that great news. I'm just back from visiting family and great to be reading some lovely news here.

SamB thanks for ur advice also re baby getting into different positions. I think you are right, it's just all getting so real now (which is great!). Having a few more Braxton Hicks which is good but can't help but worry too. It's moving so much lately - always in the same places - I'm starting to think it might be a little baby boy in there (not that it matters what it is!).

Lovely news viv, and well done on the race!!

Banana I lost all MS at around 11 weeks, but then I did with DS too, so that isn't necessarily bad news, but it's also not very reassuring!

Hooray Viv! My scan was at 10 yesterday and I did think of you whilst I was waiting to go in. My nerves were not helped as the poor girl in front of me came out in tears :(

banana I have days where ~I have no symtoms at all, but although not reassuring - it does seem to be quite normal :)

I have my MW appointment too - for wednesday 6th,so I will be just over 10 weeks so that is fine.

hopefully totally understand how you're feeling. DH and I have only just started talking about there being an actual baby next feb. Before 20 weeks I hardly talked about it at all, and if anything was more mentally prepared for bad news than good. Really hope all is OK for you. If you do insist on wanting a nuchal scan, maybe that would definitely speed things up for you? can't believe how crap they are being with you xx

In news from me.... sooo was in the car with DS and the radio was on. That soppy Westlife song came on, "I'm already there" - you know, the one about the dad being away and saying to his kids he's the sunshine or wind or something. Anyway, next thing I know I get that warm hot boob feeling. Arrrgh! Westlife have made my boobs start leaking!!!! GROSSSS!
Started leaking early with DS (at about 24 weeks) this time, only a tiny drop came out but it was definitely the let down sensation

i don't even LIKE Westlife. What has happened to my life for this to happen?! I used to hang out with DJs goddammitt! I was COOL once!

Hahahahaha I think I have collapsed a lung laughing at your Westlife post, clareanna. :) One of my guilty pleasures is that I'm a closet Westlife fan so I know exactly what song you mean. (My sister is an out and proud fan and quite literally stalks them around the country, the nutter!)

Anyway, thank you for all your lovely wishes. My legs are stiffening by the second...

Clareanna that's hilarious

Ivy I never used to remember to take a wee sample with me to MW appointments. And at my booking in appointment I accidentally tipped half the powder that comes in the wee tube down the toilet. Forgot to tell MW

hehe hopefully with my last pregnancy I just got a tube that I had to pee in, then get it back, wash out and re-use.. but apparently there is a different tube, with powder in the bottom, I need to take to my scan. Not sure why, but they are just going to have to cope without it.

Wooo hooo for Battery and Viv. Viv - you are a nutter, it's official! That is the most unusual way I've read of celebrating a successful scan yet!

Got my scan date for 12th October so two whole weeks to wait yet and I will be 11+6 when they scan me (have lost a day on the list somehow), so will be just passed where I MC before which I am glad about as think I would just end up being completely paranoid if I were to have a scan before 12 weeks.

Congratulations to Battery and Viv and well done on the pb too! Can't imagine running atm myself. Bump is getting bigger and bigger by the second, can actually feel it stretching...

Clareanna - loved the Westlife tale. Have a similar story myself, although tear ducts as opposed to milk ducts... A song came on my iPod whilst driving and had me in floods of tears - almost had to turn off. It was biblical. Seriously, the smallest thing these days sets me off. Roadkill is especially traumatic. I saw a dead badger on the side of the road the other day and started bawling. In fact, just remembering it now makes me well up.

Off to register with new GP today. Had my 25 week appt last week with my old midwife and got my MATB1 and HIP so it's time to officially move. Even sorted out my maternity leave forms. It was so strange going into my department - so blatently pregnant now there's no hiding it.

The builders are moving in on Wednesday for two months and we're moving out. I put my foot down . Decided that there was no way I was going to squat down to cook for three weeks on a single hot plate. Really looking forward to having a bed too. We've been on a futon (my DSD has been on blow-up mattress!) for the past two months and it's getting to the stage when I can only get out of bed on all fours!

Anyway we're going to be internetless for the duration so back to the (even more) sporadic appearances!

Anyway, hope you're feeling better today loopy and that hopefully gets a scan date super quickly. Waves at everyone else

I'm still feeling pretty rotten, went to see the Dr hoping there would be something I could take to stop the nausea and dizziness -- to which she told me the cure was rest, if not feeling better by Friday to go back and she'd write me a Dr's certificate. I'm finding it very hard being this pathetic... when I was pregnant with DS I had just one sick day. But am reluctantly following orders. Hope it works.

scan went ok, but I've been put back to 10+4 and have to go back in another couple of weeks for a more detailed scan.

should have our estate agent knocking on the door any minute now with the paperwork for our new house. :)
