Viv and Battery thinking of you both this morning, best of luck
Ivy sorry you're feeling down, it no doubt feels like a long wait till your scan, hoping you have some good distractions over the weekend and get some lovely good scan news on Monday, which I'm sure you will after finding heartbeat already
It's all go at the top of the list! Best of luck to you all, who's going to be first then? Wishing you all easy labours (or a nice straightforward section on Tuesday Lee and a quick recovery).
I'm back to tired nauseous and dizzy, had to come home from work at lunchtime yesterday, nearly passed out in a meeting, felt utterly dreadful, not to mention a bit silly sat there with my head down... and couldn't focus at all. Then started throwing up last night again. Much better this morning and googled up low blood pressure (am only borderline low, mostly when I check when feeling dizzy it's about 105/55) which basically says the only risk is falling over and hurting the baby so felt justified in the money I spent on the cab to London Bridge to avoid the tube. I should think myself lucky it's not high BP and I guess that's why the midwife just says oh well, one of those things, but starting to drink more as dehydration is the only cause I can find that I could possibly do anything about will drown if I drink much more though!
Clareanna talking of work, huge congratulations on promotion and payrise! The signals were all there, but fabulous to have it confirmed, well done you managing that whilst in the throes of first trimester knackeredness and worries.
Sorry you're still waiting for your scan Hopefully, the nuchal translucency check is fine up to 13+6 so a few more days for them to fit you in, probably worth calling the hospital yourself on Monday to chase and remind them it has to be this week, if you want that check done.
Liahgen, hang in there, did you manage to see your GP? Hope the hormones calm down a bit soon and the sickness subsides. Was thinking of you yesterday evening whilst hugging the loo. It's so horrid.
Muser, glad your anti-sickness meds working
Magic, chuckling at your 'how do babies come out' and 'how do babies get there' conversations -- when I was pg with DS my DSDs were asking the same, but they were 9 & 11, old enough to be very curious and before teenage disgust at all things childbirth kicks in (their current stage!), the NHS pregnancy book had fab diagrams and it was actually all really easy to discuss.
This time DS thinks the baby will just 'pop out' when ready... I am just waiting for him to ask 'but where from??' That will be much more challenging...
banana and hairy, hope you're both hanging in there. Early on it feels so often that you're about to get a period, when in reality it's implantation... feels just the same. Remember each day that goes by, you're pregnant, and try to enjoy that.
Bunny glad you're feeling better halloween costumes... I found some that weren't expensive in a little joke/gadget shop, but mostly pumpkins and skeletons. Maybe find some netting and make a couple of spiders from pipecleaners?? No idea where you find either though the sort of thing Woolworths was always good for -- strange how much I miss that shop!
Has the last puppy been found a home Unbuffy and how's the training with the one you're keeping? I've discovered the secret to potty training challenges, our fabulous childminder has got DS pooing on the loo on a regular basis, like magic, I just don't know how she does it. Feel rather inadequate as well as very thankful that we have her!
Sam hang on in there a bit longer, we need to sort out a new chief keeper of the list before you go into full on labour!
Big waves to all those I've missed
