Hello ladies, sorry for lack of posting, was pretty down in the dumps over the weekend, combination of hormones and had big wobble about stuff, back with a double trouble smile today and looking forward to my scan on Wednesday (although a little anxious), but feeling lots of fluttery bubbles and movement which is very reassuring although no idea who is doing what Grin.

Very much looking forward to news from TFLS and good luck tomorrow LeeWT :)

Glad the scan went ok Ivy try not to worry too much about your dates. Good luck with your paperwork.

Wish you better soon Alba.

Good luck with the building works Redhead, my kitchen has only been out since Sat and already getting on my nerves so well done you!!!! My house now smells of bare plaster which is really making me feel sick Blush

Did you get anywhere Hopefully?

Have you managed to hold on to your stomach Banana? Hope your head is better Loopsy.

Clareanna LOL!! (sorry) Bless you Grin

How you feeling Sam anymore twinges?

Great news Battery and Viv - so pleased all good and Viv you are a bloomin loon!!! Well done on your run!

Have a lovely afternoon ladies.

Unbuffy · 27/09/2010 15:53

Blimey

Go away for the weekend and there's three pages to catch up on! Hello everyone!

Well we went to London Town for a couple of days, did some museums and Stoof, dd stayed with Granny for the weekend so a bit wierd and very very busy... dh bless 'im kept forgetting that I am very preggers now and walking all the way around 2 sides of Hyde Park, all up Piccalilly, Oxford and Regent Street might be a wee bit much... about 5 hours pavement pounding in one afternoon. I still ache and we had to take it a bit easy the rest of the weekend (although not easy enough I reckon, am shattered and i swear Buffybean has dropped down several feet since Friday). oooh me hips...

In other news, we are down to just the puppy we are keeping so life is A LOT easier on that front, and my birth plan thingy has FINALLY tipped up and I am allowed to labour in water!! Hoorah and Result!! Although I have to get out to actually deliver (what are the chances of me 'not hearing' them saying I have to get out do you think? Or will it all be irrelevant by that point?)

ANYWAY, very glad about good scan newses, excellent work ladies!

And still giggling about the slippery slide thing Grin

BESTEST to all those at the very end of the long road too, where is this grads grads thread then?

Hopefully · 27/09/2010 16:49

Yay, phoned scan department this morning, and after being passed around about 12 hospital departments finally got through to the right people. She said I was in the pile of people to be given appointments, but as I was on the phone she did it there and then, so 4pm wednesday we'll find out whether there's a baby in there or not. Now, of course, I am shitting myself that it will have gone wrong.

Alba I may be wrong but I believe the powder is a preservative or something.

tattyteddy · 27/09/2010 17:55

Hello ladies

I've not posted her before so I hope its ok me coming along.

Just wanted to get advice of other ladies...

I had a MMC in April 2010, luckily I got pregnant again in June. i'm now 18+2 and all seems to be going well, touch wood.

But some days just feel really down/anxious and keep thinking something will go wrong. Other days im ok.

I dont want to feel like this, has anybody else felt like this?

xxx

toomuchteaching · 27/09/2010 19:12

Just popping in to say fabby fabby well done to Ivy, battery and Viv! And yay for a scan date hopefully!

And Grin to clareanna at the Westlife boob incident!!

And Hmm to powder in tubes... I just pee in a variety of different sized pots. I feel I have missed out.

And Shock at how quickly I (and by extension everyone else) appears to be moving up the list! Woowoo!

toomuchteaching · 27/09/2010 19:21

Oh sorry tattyteddy I'm an airhead at the moment. I think it's pretty safe to say we've all felt like that... and for some of us it's most days, and others it's getting better. If you had a few minutes hours you could read back and see it from every one of us at some point on the thread (although I don't recommend reading back, we talk a lot!)

It's totally normal to feel like that, and I think the top of the list ladies will agree it doesn't totally go away. So we just concentrate on celebrating and enjoying the milestones, whatever they may be. We even have special bunting (do we sound mad!?) and as you're quite far along you've got plenty to celebrate. Incidentally we also have a fish for slaps when we're feeling silly and down.

Feel free to join in with us... we've all been where you are and it really is a fab support when you're having those low moments/hours/days. And always make sure you get plenty of support in RL, having a MC takes away some of the innocence of being pregnant, so make sure you can talk to people, your partner, parents, midwife etc.

Give yourself time and enjoy the good days. And take care.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 27/09/2010 19:30

I don't know what the powder in the the pee tube is all about, but it turns out I didn't need it today anyway because they didn't really want to do any of the booking bits until the detailed scan in two weeks.

welcome tattyteddy!

Hopefully I'm glad you have a scan date, finally. FIngers, arms, legs and toes crossed for you.

Yay unbuffy to birthplan yayness! why shouldn't you be allowed to deliver in water?

magic16 the flutters sound lovely :)

We have a house! In a tiny village on top of a hill, backing out on to a field. We can start doing stuff to it in 3 weeks. Woohoo to no more living with MIL, two BILs and one most annoying BILgirlfriend in a 3 bedroom house. WOOOOOOO!

I've finally managed to tell my mum I'm pregnant again. I don't know why, but that always terrifies me. Of course she was happy. The only person who doesn't know now who matters is my dad, and seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth again, so I guess he'll just have to wait.

Anyone for a green&blacks hot chocolate?

Unbuffy · 27/09/2010 19:43

Ivy I'm hoping for a vbac and the hopsital didn't know if they would let me due to 'high risk' crap. Loada boll*x! Where have you moved to btw?

Forgot to say earlier, It's My Birfday today, I made brownies not cake so here are some very sqwidgy yummies all round x

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 27/09/2010 19:46

happy birthday unbuffy!
ah well, best option is probably to refuse to move when you're about to give birth, they can't force you.

we're moving to colyton in east devon. :)

batteryhen · 27/09/2010 20:22

Evening all ( bends legs in policeman type stylie :) )

alba - are you feeling any better lovie?

Well pregnancy is bringing out the worst in me. I have so much wind it's awfulBlushDP says that I do 'big man farts in bed' Blush
the other day I had really bad burps and DP was laughing his ass off saying 'my god you melt me when you burp like a bloke' my favourite saying at the moment ??--'the baby made me do it'Blush

banana87 · 27/09/2010 20:28

Well done Hopefully on getting your scan! And great news on yours too Ivy!

I have cramps :( And have had lower backache too since yesterday :( No bleeding, but I am just waiting for it to start. On the plus side, my boobs seem to be getting sorer by the minute, it hurts to raise my arms or even brush them now! They were never like this ever! No sickness today, as soon as I ate this morning (twice!) I felt much better and have for the rest of the day, though I don't really seem to be enjoying food that much at the moment.

tattyteddy · 27/09/2010 20:30

Thank you toomuchteaching, you made me feel better.

I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling like this, feel more positive now. I'll just have to hope everything goes fine this time.

Xxxx

batteryhen · 27/09/2010 20:34

hi everyone!

battery and viv yay for your good scans.. viv you had me worried i was checking my iphone every couple hours! well done on the run..

hopefully im glad they sorted out your scan cant wait to hear :-)

clareanna i LOVE that westlife made your boobs leak - i think you should write to them and tell them Grin

tattyteddy the reason we're all here is because your innocence of the whole process is so completely tainted. I had two mmc's last year and when I got pregnant this time the nerves absolutely killed me. Im still feeling it in fact, not nervous of the fact that i'm going to have a baby tomorrow but worried because I wont be happy til i see a healthy baby.. stick with us here we know what its like!

tfls i hope labour is starting or has started and maybe our babies will have the same birthday!

to everyone else, i will update as soon as possible.. it was so surreal packing all the little white vests and babygrows and ickle ickle socks.. - BUTTERFLIES -

wish me luck, x

Gi1da · 27/09/2010 21:37

LeeWT wow! Hope you get a good night's sleep and all the very, very best for tomorrow. x

Battery and Viv big cheerleader pom pom cheers for your scans! Viv you weren't doing Run to the Beat in London were you? You'd have run right by my house!

Ivy big congrats on the house. Gosh that must be a relief!

Hallooos all around. Been a bit all over the shop lately hence v quiet. Hopefully normal service to resume shortly. Wishing everyone well. xx

Gi1da · 27/09/2010 21:43

Ps I second the notion that Clareanna should write to share her experience with Westlife!!! Wink

louisesh · 27/09/2010 22:09

Good luck LEE can t believe we re soo close!!!!! X

thefatladyscreams · 27/09/2010 22:18

Nothing happening here - so looks like you're next on the list Lee!!!

Good luck tomorrow my dear, will be thinking of you xxx

AlbaDeTamble · 28/09/2010 07:32

Good luck for today Lee, how exciting!!

And happy birthday for yesterday buffy, hope it was a lovely day.

Good luck for today's scan Loopy

sorry you're both worrying tatty and banana, you both sound like things progressing very normally. It's so sad that every normal twinge is so scary for us.

sparklyrainbow · 28/09/2010 08:15

Hello!!

Good luck Lee Grin, how exciting (and scary). And what about TFLS...hope something happens soon!

Haven't posted for a while but have read a few times, wondering how Sam's doing? Hello to all newbies and the worries sound normal if you ask me- I hope tatty and banana everything's ok for you. The worries don't seem to stop either, had a minor panic when I didn't feel movement for a few hours (yes, I know...) but sorted myself out with lying on side and cold milk, which woke him up. Anyway, as Lee said, don't think any of us will stop worrying til baby is born, then more worries begin...

In sparkly news, we have decided to give up on the plans to move until bubba is toddling at least. We have a 2 up 2 down plus bathroom cottage and though we're going to be very tight on space think we can cope for now. Housing market so slow round here. Of course, now we have decided this, I want to redecorate and make everything look lovely for him. Nesting, moi? Wink Trouble is I overdid the nesting at the weekend and SPD now pretty uncomfortable and I'm exhausted. Took yesterday and today off work, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter and I'd rather I was capable of working until leave starts than having to take it early. Been feeling quite wobby/hormonal and ridiculously clumsy as well- spilt hot choc everywhere yesterday evening, then cried because I had to get DH to come and mop it off the lower wall/floor because I couldn't get down to reach it Hmm

Glad puppies are sorted Buffs and hope you had a good birthday yesterday.

Love to all x

Muser · 28/09/2010 08:29

Good luck for today Lee, how exciting to think your baby will be here soon!

I felt the baby move for the first time last night. It was very distracting as I tried to get to sleep! But very good.

Great news on the scan hopefully and hello to everyone else. Sorry, rushing a bit for a namecheck.

tattyteddy · 28/09/2010 09:18

Thank you for your replies ladies. It's good to know I'm not alone in feeling like this.

Good luck to all xx

banana87 · 28/09/2010 09:50

Thanks ladies. I am trying very very hard to view these 12 weeks as my body going through a process rather than there actually being a baby in there. At 12 weeks, when sonographer confirms there is a baby, then I am pregnant. In the meantime, a test says I am pregnant, but tests are wrong. How negative, I know. And how ruined is the excitement?

I had really bad backache through the night, and felt a little sick. Stomach was cramping too but I think that was wind more than anything else. Feeling ok this morning.

Hope everyone is well and good luck Lee for today!

Unbuffy · 28/09/2010 11:07

Good luck Lee, hope all goes well and hear all the news in a few day x

Ivy and Loopy I am in West Somerset so near me too! Glad not all of us be swish city b*ggers!

Forgot to say yesterday, am SOOOOO in awe of Viv and all folkses that do the running thang. As someone said, what a way to celebrate a happy scan!! COngrats on bot, btw

Bananamama and Tattybear, the first x weeks are horrible, but it will hopefully get easier after they've passed. I think everyone here has had at least six one panic s and most of us (sadly not all, it is true) have come through. Take it easy and be gentle with yourselves for the meantime.

Clare your boobies are weird!!! Luckily no leaking here, mind you I do well up at the most ridiculous things atm so I can't really talk...

Gilda long time no hear from, keep in touch lady!

hi everyone else, crap namecheck i know, Must Do Better, but first must empty and change around 4 chests of drawers (one already empty and just arrived...don't ask)
