Sorry inbetweener, fully intended to add you to the list, then forgot and hit post -- have redone with you there! Welcome. We all sympathise with how you're feeling just now, the first trimester after a MC is utterly terrifying, but try if you can to focus on the fact that the odds are in favour of all being well, and try to enjoy it as much as you can. Congratulations!
Sparkly huge sympathies, it sounds awful. If the physio isn't helping, have you tried an osteopath or chiropractor? I've read that they can work wonders where the physio isn't working if they're trained in PGP/SPD. I know it's another trip out and another person to see when you feel so awful, but even for a small improvement it must be worth it.
Another suggestion, possibly hypnotherapy -- if nothing else it can help you to relax despite the pain, which could also be good?
So sorry you're feeling so low, constant pain would make anyone feel awful, and do come on here and rant as much as you need to, I agree with the others it really does help to get it out.
Crochet, speaking from experience here, if you're not happy with your carers, change them. It seems like a huge hassle, but I have certainly found it makes a world of difference. The sympathy and kindness (in a nice relaxed way) that I got at the hospital clinic this week was wonderful and well worth the extra drive/small amount of hassle to bring about. I went on a tour of the maternity unit there first before asking to move, and was really impressed by the feel of the place when I went there, so I had a good idea that it was going to be the right move. As someone else said, the alternative is just to change your named MW, if overall you're happy with the place and it was just her.
Your blood pressure was probably just fine BEFORE you went in to the appointment... what a horrible attitude!
We all need malteser as our midwife... shame she's on maternity leave now!! That said, I'm very lucky to have Lia as my doula -- that's something else I would wholeheartedly recommend especially if you're struggling with the hospital staff, just to know there'll be someone with you who knows you, is on your side and you know will be there to support you when you go into labour (I know we all have our DH/DPs, but they're not supporting childbirth all the time and can get as anxious and worried as us), so if you meet the stern midwife again then it won't matter so much. Sadly for you, Lia will also be on maternity leave by the time you're due... but I'm sure there's lots of lovely doulas in London.
Magic have you got a nice big supply of gaviscon? I'm thinking myself very lucky that so far when the heartburn strikes a couple of rennies are doing the trick, but it's soooo horrible. double trouble heartburn must be a real drag.
Happy any luck with the turning? Hope so... maybe those big contractions are all part of your baby trying to get into the right place??
Unbuffy getting very excited for you, you're sounding very chipper at the top of the list there!
Right - must go, I'm procrastinating, I have work to do that I'm avoiding....
Oh, one last thing, big wave to Jollster
