Oh louise how insensitive, If only people would double check these things before they start ringing round. I'm glad you made her feel bad.

buffy how goes it?

muser Didn't realise you were still puking, how completely crap for you, mine has eased now except for the odd few days or if I let myself get too hungry, (ie not eat for over an hour Blush )Hope it eases a bit for you, to just feel normal would be nice wouldn't it?

Thanks happy choc biscuits very welcome over here

Today I ate a whole pack of M&S christmas cake slices, 6 in total, they had a pound off so couldn't resist, I am officially a porker. :)

magicball nice to see you over here, glad those little ones are active and happy.

Sorry to anyone else I haven't namechecked, dh has just decided he wants his dinner now so am popping off to heat up lasagne. :)

louisesh · 09/11/2010 22:23

Hi LIA think we re doing the rounds here!!!!! LOL

Osch · 10/11/2010 10:22

Morning all,

I hope everyone is well.

Louise - Sorry i haven't been back on since for a while. I hope you are coping okay, i still miss my little boy so much and i always will. Life is just different now, I can smile, laugh and be happy without feeling guilty but every happy experience is tinged with a little sadness and the thought "I wish Oscar was here with me to experience this". It certainly does get easier over time, i haven't had counselling just yet but i'm due to start in the next couple of weeks, mainly for coping through this pregnancy as it has been really difficult. I have a great support group with my family and my oh has been fantastic. I also have a 4 year old who keeps me smiling. Have you found the sands website? A great support website for women (and husbands/partners) who have been through similar situations. I wish i could tell you the pain dissapears completely, but it doesn't, you just learn to cope and live with it. I find talking about him helps a lot, it keeps his memory alive. It's a rollercoaster of emotions but surround yourself with positive support and it'll keep you going through the tough times.

Only you will know when it's right to start TTC again, i felt i wanted to start again straight away and luckily fell pregnant 4 months later, the care i have recieved from midwife's, gp's and consultants has been great.

Thinking about you! Big hugs...
x

louisesh · 10/11/2010 14:14

Thanks OSCH very much for your reply.Having good and bad days back at the gym which has helped , eating properly again just still not sleeping very well.[to be expected, i guess].

Been in to town today i have to remain detached its hard having seen all the "babys first christmas " stuff.I m just concentrating on getting myself in the best shape ttc again.Have looked at sands website , may access them at some point but ok at the moment as seeing a counsellor via occ health and attending a local support group. We re always talking about Georgie and got her photos up i love talking about her.She has affected so many people.Like you i too have a fabulous family, dH and friends a wonderful support system.

We re ttc asap , in fact finished my period today!!!, so be at it as soon as.I have no worries about future care as the care i recieved last time was excellant and as my MW said yesterday i would be scanned every 2 weeks up to 12 weeks then every 2 weeks from 28 weeks and a c sction at 38 weeks.

I m very glad you re recieving good care and things are progressing well for you.You give me hope which is all we ve got now and we re clinging on to dearly.Your story , where you re at now, is lovely i can totally empathise with all the heartache and stress you must have been/going through.I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks very much XXXX please keep in touch and let me know how things are going.

Hi to everyone else hope all are well XXX

HappyGirl1 · 10/11/2010 17:09

Louise great to hear you so positive and great news that period finished, your body is getting ready to ttc again which is good news. osch lovely to hear from you also.

Completely not anywhere near as important as both of you, had MW appt today, took a little bit longer than usual to find HB but thankfully she did. We were so relieved. However it seems baby has gone breech, I'm not too surprised as could feel something quite hard up high the other day and was thinking it must have a very hard bum. So I have to have a scan tomorrow and also decide if i want to have some drugs and then they can try and move it. Reeally not sure what to do. Going to read as much as I can about it now and see what happens. Going to try and stay on all fours for as long as possible this evening too. Just want baby to be okay in there.

Unbuffy · 10/11/2010 17:25

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 10/11/2010 18:17

Hairy I am so sorry hun BIGGEST hug for you xxxx

AlbaDeTamble · 10/11/2010 18:30

Hairy, I'm so, so sorry. There's never the right words, but try to take care of yourself. Big hugs.

Happy, I went to a presentation today by an obstetrics consultant/professor. Whilst dismissing a lot of alternative stuff, he did recommend both accupuncture and moxibustion to turn a breech baby as research has proved both to be effective, worth a try.

hairytriangle · 10/11/2010 19:31

Thanks and very, very best to all of you x Perhaps I'll be brave enough to join you one day.

Muser · 10/11/2010 19:44

I'm so sorry hairy. Thinking of you.

louisesh · 10/11/2010 19:58

HAPPY nothings unimportant everyone/anyone can say anything on here XX

Gi1da · 10/11/2010 20:00

Hairy I'm so very sorry. Just absolute pants. Take good care of yourself. Hugs xx

Will pop back later to say hi. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

HappyGirl1 · 10/11/2010 20:01

Oh Hairy I'm so so sorry you poor thing, thinking of you xx

malteser1981 · 10/11/2010 20:03

Hairy - take good care xx

Happy - If it was me I would go for ECV, the risk of an emergency cs as a result of a complication is 1% and considering the success rate for the midwives who perform them in the unit I work is 75% I like the odds!! Have to say it is unusual to offer an ECV as early as 36 weeks, most units do not offer until 37 weeks as there is still the chance of a spontaneous version to cephalic (esp with moxibustion as Alba said) and a higher chance of the baby reverting to breech even if the ECV is successful.
Terbutaline is the drug usually given to relax the uterus, it can make you a bit dizzy so don't be expecting to drive afterwards.
Good luck!

Been baking today, I should know better than to think I would be able to resist and take them into DH work place tomorrow. I am officially fat. And I hate myself for it.....pathetic thing to moan about when you consider the suffering of others but my changing shape and weight is really getting me down. Moan over.
Have a good night all. x

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 10/11/2010 20:49

malteser I am about to send DH out to find scones and squirty cream after watching Jimmys foody wootsit. You are pregnant and the most womanly you will ever be and therefore beautiful! You are working so hard at the mo and think of all those things you can't have that are mucho calorific xx

Sod it I am pissed off with bloody heartburn and now restless legs thank god I can ignore it while typing but I know when I go to bed I will wake up EVERY single hour through the night Biscuit BRING ON THE SCONES!!!!!

Muser · 10/11/2010 20:57

You are not fat. You are pregnant.

clareanna · 11/11/2010 07:41

So so sorry hairy that you're going through this again- thinking of you x

malteser1981 · 11/11/2010 11:30

Muser & Magic8 - thanks ladies but I am in fact both! Fat and pregnant that is! Having spent my entire adult life on a diet, just relaxing a little without going mad has meant I've put on 2 1/2 stone already.....but as you say growing a baby is more important. Lets hope the BF does the trick!

northerngoldilocks · 11/11/2010 12:01

Hairy I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this again

hairytriangle · 11/11/2010 12:04

Thanks all. Righ now I don't feel that I will ever be strong enough to TTC again, but I know I need to give myself time to sort my head out and get over this.

I am booked for an NHS scan on Monday and hope to have a D&C on Tuesday. I can't go through physical miscarriage again.

Muser · 11/11/2010 12:06

You're nearly due malteser and that does not seem an excessive weight gain to me. You are meant to gain weight to help put in stores for breastfeeding. You've got a lot of baby in there. Lot of extra blood swishing around your body. Placenta. Fluid. Boob growth. All sorts.

I quite like this site for telling you what all the weight is made up of, not much of it is fat! www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/weightgain/

Also, plenty of time to lose weight after the baby arrives. Why worry now?

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 11/11/2010 13:04

agree with Muser , don't sweat it honey :)

AlbaDeTamble · 11/11/2010 13:23

Malteser, I'm with you on the weight gain... 17 kilos here so far and I'm only 32 weeks Blush -- but the first 2kg were just gaining back what I'd lost after MMC so 'only' 15kg (nearly 2.5 stone) up from normal. More than most of the guidelines say, but I gained similarly with DS, and it was all gone by the time I went back to work 6 months later. Buggy pushing and baby carrying are both very good postnatal exercises - certainly worked for me.

Hairy I'm thinking of you. It's so cruel after everything you went through last time, I do hope at least that this can be a lot more straightforward for you. It's just not fair. I think you're absolutely right about giving yourself time, you are incredibly strong, even if it doesn't feel like it just now. Just be kind to yourself and try to take it really easily whilst you recover.
