As some of you already know I am currently 5 weeks pregnant after having had a missed miscarriage at 17 weeks in April of this year.
I am very pleased and excited to be pregnant again but at the same time full of fear and anxiety.
Their seems to be a lot of women on mumsnet at the moment who have experienced a recent miscarriage and are pregnant again. We all have the same worries.
Hopefully we can use this thread to offer each other mutual support and help keep each other positive.

Hi Girls,
Had my scan today! All well and I'm apparently 12+4 and not 11+6!
Cautiously optimistic that all will be well.
Hope everyone is well.
Merry Christmas!

trix1 · 23/12/2005 07:37

Brilliant News Xmas Pub - thats really great news for you.

For the first ever I have no trouble getting up in the morning all due to the morning sickness

Ive been wretching for the last hour.

I hope you all have a fantastic Xmas and new year.

petunia · 23/12/2005 10:52

Excellent news about your scan xmasspub.
Trix1- hope the morning sickness doesn't make Christmas too miserable for you. I found it was worse in the evenings when I was tired and hungry. Have you tried ginger biscuits? Anything with ginger is supposed to be good. I did read somewhere that if you had a ginger biscuit or dry toast before getting out of bed, it should help.
Slink- hope your dp survived the shopping!

Well, if I don't get on here before Sunday, hope you all have an amazing Christmas.

jinglediddle · 23/12/2005 11:09

Good Morning - Congratulations MrsMaddyd, what a perfect christmas present. What is your due date?

coribells · 26/12/2005 15:13

Maddyd, Congratulations. What a great Christmas present. Lots of Baby Dust coming your way.

Arabica- The heartburn is horrible I know. I also suffer from it quite badly. Poor you getting so early on. I dont have any remedies, other than to keep Rennies in every pocket and handbag. Dont eat late at night, or just before going to bed.

Thanks for the link. I have absolutely nothing to complain about compared to those poor women that get HG. I just feel vaguely nauseous all the time and have had 2 bouts of heartburn.

Arabica · 26/12/2005 22:29

Congratulations Mrs MaddyD! Will you squeeze onto our August thread?

Tabs · 26/12/2005 22:49

Ooh - Mrs MaddyD - just spotted your excellent news and thought I'd jump in to say congrats - what a lovely Christmas present!

xmasspub · 27/12/2005 16:11

Mrs maddy! So lovely to see you on here from the ttc after mc support. Huge congrats and here's hoping to see some of our other old muckers over here soon, too!

slinksanta · 28/12/2005 13:05

congrats maddyd thats great news

hope everyone had a good xmas.
i am seeing the drs at hospital on friday and im scared!! they will tell me whether they will give me any extra care/ cervical assessments/ scans this pg.
so my anxiety is completely in there hands!

I am 15 weeks so have 7 weeks to go, to where i was last pg when things started to go wrong, i am gonna be a complete mental wreck from 20 weeks.
i am starting to think of my hospital bag already - maybe thats a jinx but i'd rather be prepared this time.

jinglediddle · 28/12/2005 18:12

slink - good luck for Friday, you WILL be fine, stay positive, this baby is for keeps.
I totally undertsand your worry though, make sure they give you all the info and support that you need.
You know where I am if you need a chat, msn will be on all day.

cori - how far along are you now?? i feel and loook very pregnant too, i'm only 17 wks though.

coribells · 28/12/2005 19:47

I am 22 weeks tomorrow. I feel about 6 months though. I have a very bad back, (going back to Acupuncture next week I think). Bad heartburn as well. I am finding I cant sleep on my back for very long anymore as the pressure of the baby is makes it uncomfortable.Cant sleep on my right side because of pulling sensation. So can only sleep on left with duvet stuffed under my bump. Whinge, whinge, whinge. I know the second trimester is meant to be easier but it is certainly not for me.....

jinglediddle · 28/12/2005 20:46

aww poor you coribells - sounds like you're very uncomfortable at the mo, had trouble getting comfy here too, i can only get to sleep on my front which is already a nightmare because now i can't comfortably lie on it, my friend has suggested i get a wedge cushion for my bump to support it on my side. So i'm going to have to invest in one.

mrsmaddyd · 29/12/2005 15:22

Hiya all, not sure if ill be end of aug or 1st week september yet. Offically im due around 7th of sept but i usually have a week early as have c sections. Its soo good to be back on a pg thread and i cant wait to catch up with everyone.

lunavix · 29/12/2005 20:49

hi everyone forgot to check in!

Had a scan, and they found a yolk sac but didn't look for a heartbeat so they ruled out an ectopic And the pains have turned out to be.. constipation! lol.

I started bleeding tuesday so I'm panicing now... can't do anything till wednesday (my next scan.) fingers crossed.

munz · 29/12/2005 22:24

Mads - WOHOOOOOO! i'm soooo pleased for u girl, been looking on the TTC thread for ur return but didn't like to hijack after the troll mention! so pleased for u! ooh and congrats on theweddin as well!

mrsmaddyd · 30/12/2005 09:25

Hiya Munz. 4 weeks 4 days today Feel a little queasy but dont know if nerves or not. I will relish in any morning sickness as i didnt get any with the miscarriages. So pleased with my test though as the pg line was stonger than te test line. Gotta be a good sign

How are you anyway. Must be big and blooming by now

trix1 · 30/12/2005 09:57

Lunavix - When did you have your scan, I understand them not looking for a heartbeat when they found your scan. Are you booked in for your next scan yet? Glad the bleeding has stopped for you.
